I wouldn’t agree. A Wikipedia article means fuck all. There’s a Wikipedia article on myself, doesn’t mean I’m famous. Anyone can make a Wikipedia article. Can you HONESTLY tell me you’d heard of male forced marriage before you searched it for this reply? I doubt it. You will, but I doubt it.

I said commonly. Looking at those articles, and further research, it ain’t common :)

Can you tell me one country where men are commonly forced into marriage by their parents and have to give up all their belongings and submit to their wife and wife’s family?

I have never once said the world is perfectly equal or always protects men more than women. I’m also not gaslighting by saying my opinions. They’re right as they’re opinions - they are what I truly believe. You don’t have to agree, you’re entitled to your own. What exactly would a UN men committee do? Talk about how we need to get fairer representation in child custody battles? Have you looked at what UN women do? It covers issues we as men simply do not face. Look, you don’t have to agree. I do…

Look, you’re entitled to your opinion as I am to mine. I can tell your passionate - as am I. I just live outside of social media and try to be a realist. Personally, I think that is the way to advance men’s rights.
/r/MensRights06/04/25 11:14 AM

Yeah here’s the thing though. Men still DO have it better than woman, no matter what you say. Obviously women have it better than men in certain areas. But in more areas, men have it better than women. If men’s rights can be advanced, that needs to be accepted.

Well glad you can be civil! I do agree just because we have opposing views doesn’t make either of us wrong.

Yes. They do. I like my job. It’s good, and it’s what I want to do. When I said things other than war I didn’t so much mean training. I meant like helping those affected by natural disaster, anti-piracy, policing areas etc. defence engagement too. There’s more than you’d think. They make up 90% of operations.

There’s a lot more to serving than just ‘caring’ for your country. Yes there’s an aspect of that - but there’s also for the people within the country, the people who might be being invaded/oppressed. And remember, war is only a small part of what the military does.

We don’t agree, I don’t think all courts immediately treat men as criminals. That’s my point. Yeah, I’m not gonna get into military talk with you because of OPSEC and all that, and purely from the fact if you genuinely think that I’m not going to spend the time and effort to convince you otherwise. I still think one of trumps lowest ever moments was starting the evacuation of Afghanistan and then pinning it all on Biden to make it look like he did it. An awful lot of good lads in the service agr…

Okay - I’ve commented on courts - doesn’t at all mean im saying I love the system! Look at my other comments since you seem to love doing that so much - you’ll see I’ve critiqued the courts many times in terms of family courts especially. I’m in the military. Under Trump’s rule 2016 - 2020 and now he made multiple changes to the military and military ops that affected militaries worldwide. That shouldn’t be too hard to understand, and it certainly isn’t funny. You don’t need to be ready to shoot…

I’ve never once defended the court of law in the scenario. Believe it or not, I do still support men’s rights and think courts need serious reform in so many ways. Because Trump has had a more impact on my work and way of life than Biden ever did. Simple as that. I also doubt you’ve gone through every single one of my comments in the last 3 years. If you have, that’s really fucking weird mate. It’s stuck because it’s true. That doesn’t mean a gunfight needs to bloody happen. I come from a polici…

I think 4 really depends on how the men do it. By all means, speak out against struggles but it’s when certain men say that we struggle more than women or say men haven’t been oppressors/aggressors and claim to be oppressed/aggressed themselves. There’s literally no need for the comparison. Everyone’s individual or collective struggles matter, why not just move forwards from there.

I’ve not lost the plot - I’m just completely exasperated with you. Believing the victim is about getting the case INTO a courtroom, not giving a guilty verdict before due process is carried out. It’s all about reducing the number of unreported rape cases. I think you’re some trumper because of how you talk about him in your other posts. It’s obvious. It’s not TDS to care about a man whose policies affect my day job. Owning a gun is PROVEN to drastically increase a persons chances of being involv…

I really don’t think serving your country is exploitation if you’re happy to do it. Obviously being drafted would be different.

Sure - my point still stands. You seem to think the monarch has anything to do with policies and politics and you’re wrong. The monarch has as much say in Canada as they do in England. You realise Charles is your king too, right? It’s not TDS to care about the man who’s ruining everything the USA stands for.

I’m not making less of his suffering. He had help, he went through therapy - and it didn’t work. Sadly, people do believe the victim even when they’re lying. But that doesn’t mean immediately stop believing all victims. The only woman Tom hated was his lying, bitchy, horrid cunt of an ex. People certainly did stand up for Tom. And I’d be willing to wager I’ve got more life experience than you, or at the very least a lot more than you’re giving me credit for. I’m well aware just how much false accusations ruin lives, almost definitely more than yourself. But I still don’t agree a man in this world is automatically a criminal. If you genuinely think that you need to go outside more.

If you think a woman can ‘easily cry help’ when in a situation such as this you need to learn about the bystander effect.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 07:32 PM

Yeah so I know a fair bit about this. The law will be in no one’s favour. The law is completely neutral on this matter. Peoples opinions, however, may not be.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 07:27 PM

Well I can’t say that I’ve ever seen that happen, and I’ve seen it less than a handful of times - but if you think it’s that often, okay.

Not one bit of what I said claims that. Just simply saying that I don’t feel like a criminal for being a man. Get your head out your ass
/r/MensRights02/04/25 06:56 PM

I agree. But that doesn’t mean we should negate the men’s violence epidemic
/r/MensRights02/04/25 05:34 PM
1

I mean no but okay mate xxx
/r/MensRights02/04/25 05:33 PM
0

Yeah, this is all well and good but has fuck all to do with my point. A woman facing violence from a stranger or friend is overwhelmingly likely to find that friend/stranger is a man. I never once said that female on female violence isn’t a problem, and that that also shouldn’t be taught. My point was, male on female violence is too damn high. If you want to say it isn’t, you’re wrong. That doesn’t mean I excuse all other violence.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 02:26 PM
1

Sadly, not really. Mens rights are cared about less and subs in this strain tend to just want to bash women.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 02:20 PM
2

Not really. Women can do anything that men can do in terms of society and work. Men can do anything women can do. The only exceptions are things like birth.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 01:46 PM
0

And when a country sends social workers to warn young girls not to cry wolf about rape, it turns them into potential criminals. It doesn’t though, does it? Use your head. And I’m sorry but there wouldn’t be any need for that if male on female violence wasn’t so high.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 01:45 PM
1

Ok because I don’t enjoy engaging with people who lack critical thinking skills.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 01:45 PM
-2

What has that got to do with my point that women benefitted more than men in Ancient Rome. And you really think women should what. Just be here for cooking, cleaning and birthing children? Women and men are the same species, the only difference is gender. That isn’t enough of a difference to warrant hate.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 01:44 PM

I don’t think that’s a very common occurrence.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 12:19 PM

Ok.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 12:19 PM

I don’t know many who would, even if it were true mate. Being a woman doesn’t immediately make your life a million times easier.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 11:45 AM
-5

That isn’t you being immediately labelled a criminal though. There is due process, and it is, for the most part, adequate. I won’t deny at all that divorces and domestic abuse cases are unfair against men, but that still doesn’t make you a criminal immediately.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 11:44 AM
-7

You think women benefitted the most in Ancient Rome? You evidently know the square root of fuck all.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 11:43 AM

I mean I wouldn’t agree but okay. Every woman doesn’t just sit and say nothing. But you’re entitled to your opinion!
/r/MensRights02/04/25 11:42 AM
-12

Literally. This sub is getting progressively more and more filled with incel rhetoric and misogyny rather than focussing on men’s rights issues. It’s a joke. Not every woman is out to get them, and the people saying ‘yeh I avoid women’ are the problem because due to avoiding normal women they only see insane people on social media or the news passing extreme views from either side of the spectrum.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 10:20 AM
-4

The Roman army didn’t have soldiers because the conditions weren’t as good as they thought, hence Rome had the first draft dodgers. It wasn’t anything to do with not wanting to fight for women. What the fuck.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 10:18 AM
-9

that’s a very sad outlook, just not talking to females because of the actions of a few. Would you avoid all black people because of the actions of a few? I doubt it.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 10:17 AM
-6

Exactly. People on here pretend that every man alive today is being actively persecuted.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 10:16 AM

Disagree. Yes, we have issues but feeling like a ‘criminal’? No not at all. Only people who go down the internet rabbit hole or are literal incels feel like that.
/r/MensRights02/04/25 10:15 AM
-8

In my experience, I’d say so yes. In my experience, a lads complaints are more likely to be understood and dealt with - or maybe not ‘more’ likely but definitely equally as likely. I understand my experience may not be universal, but I think it’s relatively common.
/r/MensRights31/03/25 05:35 PM

What makes you say young boys are more powerless than young girls? I absolutely wouldn’t agree with that.

Misogyny is the prejudice against women. Simple as. Plenty of people in the MGTOW movement are misogynistic.
/r/MensRights28/03/25 03:31 PM

It absolutely wasn’t meant in that way! It was me saying that people absolutely will find him attractive, not in a patronising way at all. If it came across that way, my apologies!
/r/MensRights28/03/25 03:30 PM
0

I have literally just said somebody will find him attractive. How is that making men feel bad?
/r/MensRights28/03/25 03:16 PM
1

Perhaps my wording could have been better. The outlying ethos of it may not be, but the amount of people in there who are quite clearly misogynists is astounding.
/r/MensRights28/03/25 03:16 PM
1

That may be the case. But that doesn’t mean you ‘don’t have a chance’. There’s a 100% chance someone, somewhere, in the world will find you attractive.
/r/MensRights26/03/25 11:04 PM
-2

With that mentality, you probably don’t.
/r/MensRights26/03/25 08:16 PM

MGTOW and choosing to be single are very different things. Choosing to be single can be for a multitude of reasons, MGTOW is pretty misogynistic in its culture and I think men who choose to remain single aren’t necessarily misogynists.
/r/MensRights26/03/25 08:15 PM

Right. Sure.
/r/MensRights24/03/25 12:33 AM

It was heavily implied and you damn well know it was. I’m not trying to make out anything. I’m giving multiple studies, all of which agree it’s between 3 - 8%
/r/MensRights23/03/25 11:40 PM

I’m not trolling, this subject just hits close to home and I hate to see people spreading shit about it. Let’s be real. 40% is a stupid number to even claim. Nevermind believe. But sure, continue on as you are. Maybe you’ll learn some day!
/r/MensRights23/03/25 09:40 PM
1

You still deny it happens to the degree it is? Right there. In that sentence. Right there.
/r/MensRights23/03/25 09:37 PM

No. I deny it happens to that exasperated rate. 40% of rape allegations are not false. Do you fucking hear yourself!

/r/MensRights23/03/25 09:46 AM

/r/MensRights23/03/25 09:45 AM

And how often do you honestly think that happens?
/r/MensRights23/03/25 09:45 AM

25% does not equal 40-45%. And the studies for much higher don’t seem amazing gonna be honest with ya… can you really disagree, bud?
/r/MensRights23/03/25 09:44 AM

Indeed I did read the study. And the articles he uses are biased as fuck! Come on man. That’s a historical analysis for fucks sake!

My best mate of 6 years was falsely accused of rape. He broke up with his girlfriend, she didn’t like it and accused him of rape, there was a long drawn out trial during which he lost almost ALL of his friends. Eventually he was proven not guilty but the bullying and harassment he got was so unrelenting and terrible he STILL threw himself off a bridge. My best friend killed himself as a DIRECT outcome of a false allegation. It is a topic that hits extremely close to home and I will standby think…
/r/MensRights22/03/25 09:56 PM

That is fucking ludicrous. It admits that it’s an estimation first of all, and also says that 1 in 14 are false which is ~7.1% Literally anywhere else you look has it as under 8% https://evawintl.org/best_practice_faqs/false-reports-percentage/ https://yougov.co.uk/society/articles/45636-how-do-britons-view-false-allegations-rape Nowhere near 40% of rape allegations are false. Mate, I do an awful lot of good for men. I run those groups because I understand the struggle I go through. If you’re going to come here and accuse me of only holding those support sessions so I can spread ‘feminist propaganda and ideology’ then you’re a cunt. And you should fuck off. I am a feminist. I am not as radical as some men’s rights activists in this group. But I am a supporter of men’s rights. I do good in my community, and I support people who need it. You’re just a toxic shit who can…
/r/MensRights20/03/25 11:44 AM

What are you quoting a comment I made a few days ago for? That, if anything, only proves my point. When have I told men any of those things?
/r/MensRights20/03/25 11:36 AM

No, it’s because it’s evident from your demeanour, your comment and your immediate hostility. My point was about women contributing to technology. If I was writing an essay I would obviously reference both. But I’m not. I’m replying to a reddit comment asking me to explain what I said - which I did. Without her, we wouldn’t have modern tech as we know it. The RNS system was hers, other tech was the guys. It’s as simple as that. If you’d approached me in a nicer manner I would’ve happily explaine…
/r/MensRights20/03/25 11:07 AM

I’ve mentioned her in one comment as a throwaway example? I’m hardly obsessed. You’re so scared of women being recognised for work. Why? It’s not trash feminist ideology it’s just history. You’re a sad fuck who needs to get a grip of yourself. I support men’s rights as much as the next guy, but I also have the ability of critical thinking. Denying the notion that feminism is good and useful is ridiculous
/r/MensRights20/03/25 10:42 AM

The equality. At least from my experience and pretty much everyone else’s. I don’t remember being taught in school that women are superior to men.
/r/MensRights20/03/25 10:32 AM

Because he’s not relevant to the argument. Without her, the tech wouldn’t be here today. It took two people to create it, it wouldn’t be here without her. Simple as that. It’s not trash feminist ideology. It’s just a fact.
/r/MensRights20/03/25 10:31 AM

I’m not demeaning anything, but why would I include people not relevant to my point? They are subsidiaries which aren’t part of my argument :) I’m also not trash. If anyone’s being trashy, it’s the guy refusing to acknowledge a perfectly good argument
/r/MensRights20/03/25 10:24 AM

Aye I get you. And yeah life can be depressing. I was pretty down and out before I started doing things I loved.
/r/MensRights18/03/25 04:53 PM

Yeah, the whole of Reddit it was one big dick measuring contest. I get you. I turned 20 recently and lads my age don’t have the best track record for mental health, especially in my line of work. It’s sad to see.
/r/MensRights18/03/25 04:22 PM
1

Roger, I see. Well, your opinion is yours as mine is mine. I think this sub at times can be a fucking echo chamber unparalleled by most other places, especially with the arguments that feminism is satan incarnate and women don’t have it half as bad as men, but overall I understand people are just mad. You’re right - there’s no ‘need’ for them to be there but if giving someone a cuppa and a chat stops them from killing themselves then I’m always gonna be there, well - as work allows.
/r/MensRights18/03/25 04:05 PM
1

What do you mean by gate keep? There were a few issues with people not overly getting the point of them being there, but it was achievable
/r/MensRights18/03/25 03:44 PM
1

I’m not dismissive about men’s issues. This group just takes them way too far and acts like other people don’t face issues. I set one up in town with some mates as we all had experience with mental health. Got volunteers, an office in the shopping centre near the CALM outpost and worked from there. Purely non profit just giving people a space to relax, talk things over and chill out. Primarily word of mouth which is nice as you see the same people come and get a bit happier or calmer each time. …
/r/MensRights18/03/25 03:19 PM
1

I could do that, but I wouldn’t be being honest. If you don’t want to believe me I don’t care. You’re some silly cunt on Reddit who joined an argument days late with an irrelevant point who’s only defence was ‘well someone else could’ve done it given more time’. Your opinion doesn’t really bother me, at the end of the day I know what I do and how I feel and you don’t!
/r/MensRights18/03/25 01:53 PM

I mean, I’m rather busy with my job tbh but I browse reddit when I have a minute, which today is relatively often. In terms of what I’ve done IRL? Aside from volunteering at my local Andy’s man club, working at men’s support centres in my city and helping set up men’s support programmes and initiatives at my job, oh nothing really.
/r/MensRights18/03/25 01:52 PM

I am SO sorry I misread your comment while I’m working. I’ll do better xxxx
/r/MensRights18/03/25 01:25 PM

I’d bet my left nut I’ve done more to advance men’s rights in the real world than you have. How exactly would you like me to comment on a sub I’m perma banned from

I call out misandry and bigotry everywhere. Reddit isn’t the be all and end all. Mental right!

/r/MensRights18/03/25 01:13 PM

I have no disdain against men, I just think this sub goes too far. I spend my days protecting men and women. I don’t have disdain for people, I just wish people here understood reality without the echo chamber of Reddit

Hedy Lamarr invented the RNS system allowing WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS etc to function. If women were still in the period of having no input, no vote, no ability to work - it wouldn’t have happened. Now obviously this won’t go down well with you, but it’s the truth :)

Okay buddy. You’re entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine - even if we don’t agree. What I will say is calling another ideology ‘trash’ is a bit uncalled for considering feminism has enabled you to type the very comment you just did - but alright, cool.
/r/MensRights17/03/25 08:11 AM

Feminism is about equality between sexes. It’s radicals that call for superiority. I know you’re going to disagree and say the message of feminism is indeed female superiority, but that’s social media tainting. Remember how it started.
/r/MensRights17/03/25 12:48 AM
1

I couldn’t agree more. So many men on here think that everyone’s out to get them and a lot of it comes from social media. A lot of the woman bashing and feminism hating on here seems to be purely the work of social media too. They don’t seem to look outside. We have so many problems facing us in our society and social media only seems to make it worse. I think it might be time for a break. It definitely saps my motivation and puts me off work and the important things in my life.

They just aren’t though. Get off Reddit.
/r/MensRights16/03/25 09:17 AM

Yes it is. There have been multiple times throughout history when it has been the expectation of women to stay home and be housewives. That expectation came from men. I’m all about pushing for men’s and women’s rights, but if we can’t accept our history what are we doing?
/r/MensRights15/03/25 07:43 PM
1

Women were not always able to work, throughout history they have been in and out of it. There are still jobs women have not been able to do until recently, and some jobs women still can’t do. If you refuse to even accept a fact such as this I have no intention of continuing with you.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 07:20 PM
1

Personally, I see a difference. If you don’t, sure. If you can’t honestly claim society has not been set up the benefit men over women then you need a reality check ASAP. Women had to fight to vote, to work, to drive, to be RESPECTED. Men didn’t. Men have always benefitted from society more than women. That doesn’t mean that men have not faced problems - of course they have! Everyone has. And I understand your point of oh the men who created society screwed over men too so that means that they c…
/r/MensRights15/03/25 06:46 PM

Yes… that’s my point. It’s you who said feminists say men conspire against women. I never said that. I do not believe that. The majority of feminists do not believe that. Checkmate athiests? Checkmate, you
/r/MensRights15/03/25 06:35 PM
1

I don’t think the belief is incorrect. Yes, men face issues in society. Women, historically, have faced EXPONENTIALLY more. May I ask, those issues with society - who created them? The draft that utilises 18 - 25 year old men? Was that created by a man or a woman? It was created by a man, because he held the incorrect view men should be the ones to protect women and children. Everyone should protect everyone. The issues with men’s society were created by men, just like how the issues with women’…
/r/MensRights15/03/25 06:29 PM
1

No. You aren’t understanding what I’m saying. I’m saying even if men used to conspire against women, they don’t now.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 06:23 PM
1

I believe historically the systems we run our world on have been set up to benefit men. Which is true. That doesn’t mean men today are out to get women and keep them as the subjects of men. Not at all. I strongly believe the majority of people want an equal society. Society would be better for everyone with true equality. I can’t think of anyone it wouldn’t benefit.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 06:16 PM
1

The first people to die in war would be those currently serving - both men and women. The draft is not organised to ‘sacrifice’ anyone, and it certainly isn’t organised to kill off men before women. The draft is discriminative purely on age, which makes sense for war.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 06:14 PM
1

That definitely isn’t the majority of feminists position. It isn’t mine. Germany is fucked at the minute yes - but I can’t think of many countries that aren’t. Germany is a coalition country and still less fucked than the US with a public entertainer as commander in chief. Coalitions can and have worked for long periods of time.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 06:09 PM
1

Not unless you have security clearance haha. My understanding is that there are in fact articles on it. I understand the answer of ‘yes there’s proof but you can’t see it’ doesn’t make for a very compelling argument, and it is entirely in your prerogative to not believe me, but what exactly would you have me do 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. Depending on the war, reservists may have their leave cancelled yes.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 06:03 PM
1

Because the US is the best western example. Look at Germany. Their coalition parties have historically been opposites - the left and right usually end up getting similar votes and having a coalition. Are you implying feminists and men’s rights advocates have absolutely 0 common ground? That would be stupid.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 05:59 PM
1

Current members of the military are not ‘called up to serve’. They just serve. They do their job. Former members of the military can be recalled to service. Reserves can be ‘activated’ which mean they also go fight. While the selective service registers men 18 - 25 for the draft, there is military doctrine in place to activate women (and people (men first) over 25) to be drafted up to serve. There is an order of activation for all 300 million plus Americans to serve in war.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 05:57 PM
1

What the fuck are you on about. Have you replied to the wrong comment?
/r/MensRights15/03/25 05:49 PM

Yes, I chose to join the military. No. Those in the military cannot be ‘drafted’ as they are already in. I’m on about civilians.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 05:47 PM
1

Of course it would. You do that.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 05:38 PM
1

Yeah, I don’t agree. The US is a fucked country in the sense that this is the mentality there - it’s a dual party system, only one can be correct. This is a toxic way of thinking and is a large part of why the US is the laughing stock in the eyes of much of the world. Coalitions exist. Compromises exist. To quote Obi, ‘only a Sith deals in absolutes’. There are many better ways to go about business than to view that the only potential outcome is absolute win or absolute loss.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 05:37 PM
1

Ah, I see what you’re getting at: the selective service, not the draft. The selective service does indeed utilise some men between 18 and 25, yes, who would be the first to go but other men within that age range, women, and people over 25 are all on the draftee list if a conscription requirement came about. I do agree though, there’s no reason the selective service should use only men 18 - 25. I do not have a ‘military draft’ at my job. My job is in the military.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 05:34 PM

I’m fine with that. The world isn’t a game of winning or losing.

If a man can’t get laid, that’s not some grand conspiracy against him like incels think. At the end of the day, incels are scum and don’t deserve a second thought. That’s the extent of my opinions on them.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 04:43 PM

If England, US, Canada, most of western civilisation brought back the draft id be very shocked if women weren’t up there with them!

There shouldn’t be ‘obedience’ to feminism. Men don’t have to bow down to feminists. You’re seeing it as a struggle of men’s rights vs feminists which I don’t think it is. Evidently you do.

feminist bashing is absolutely good, yes. This sub isn’t the place for you then. As per a conversation I had with the moderators yesterday, this sub is a place to push men’s rights campaigns and information, not shit on feminists. Find somewhere else to do that. incel rhetoric has some points to make. Shut the fuck up. No it doesn’t. It’s degenerates who are so mad nobody wants to fuck them that they act out. In my day job, I have to speak with people who disagree with me. Rarely it’s a nice conversation but I have it. If you truly have these feelings towards feminists, one guy on reddit won’t be able to change your mind. We simply disagree, and that’s fine. What irks me is the fact you then think I can’t support men’s rights. Feminists and men’s rights campaigners are two sides of the same coin fighting for human equality. If you don’t see that or can’t agree with it, I have nothing further to say r…

You’re talking to one, mate. You can’t see it on this one dark corner of reddit, sure. But in more common media streams and in the real world it is there. I hate the phrase of ‘go touch grass’ but it may be appropriate in this context. I used to be like you, much more extreme in my views because all I did was sit in my house and read social media. When I actually got out in the real world and gained an in-person understanding, I realised I wasn’t always correct on a lot of issues.

convenient that feminist also reserve the right to determine what’s equality. No? They literally don’t. Equality, in general is quite obvious to everyone. The right to vote, to drive, to work, to be safe. Yes - I will agree with you, boundaries are certainly pushed again and again. But if we’re being truthful here, can we truly say women’s rights are equal to men’s in this world? There are many countries where women are still seen as wives and nothing more. In the west things are obviously diffe…

So you think feminism bashing and incel rhetoric is good? Get a fucking grip of yourself. If you said your views to some men outside of Reddit echo chambers you’d see what the soles of their shoes taste like. These are not commonly held views. You are radical in the sense that you evidently hate the idea of women fighting for equality. Either that, or I’m being overly harsh and you simply misunderstand. Maybe you are so corrupted by Reddit echo chambers you don’t actually know what feminism is.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 03:32 PM

The system was the enemy, that’s what I’m saying if you actually read my comments. Women had to unite to get rights - men have traditionally been the ones writing the system which dictates who get what rights, so they haven’t had to unite against it.
/r/MensRights15/03/25 03:30 PM

Yeah, no. Men have more rights than women in many places in this world, but that doesn’t mean they do everywhere. You think you know what I support - sure, think that. I know why I’m here.

You are corrupted by your views. You are wrong. the advocacy of women’s rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes. THAT is the definition of feminism. Equality of the sexes. So you honestly think men do not benefit more from a patriarchal society? If you don’t I no longer wish to continue engaging as you are too far away from reality to bother engaging with. I support men’s rights - but there’s no point doing that when I refuse to acknowledge basic facts.

I’m here because, whether you choose to believe me or not, I have heartfelt issues with men’s rights. Custody battles, suicide rates, mental health, treatment in today’s world are all issues I’ve either experienced personally or bother me as a man. The articles I linked I believe show valid reasons men should give a shit about feminism. Claiming feminism has done nothing for men and ‘doesn’t give a shit’ about men is insane. Feminism defines itself as wanting equal treatment of both sexes. Erin Prizzey is indeed a complex case. I do not at all agree with everything she has said. She was however chased out of the country and had her pet dog killed by radical feminists because she was standing up for men’s rights in domestic abuse cases. She implied men deserved access to shelters too, and this wasn’t received well by radicals. I do not think she is all bad. Rape laws are indeed written that the act of penetration is …

In my personal experience, it is. In the vast majority of its actions, it is. Yes. There are radicals, like in every group. But they are not the majority. You think men don’t complain? It’s been happening for years. I think in the early days of feminism it was a lot easier for women to unite because they had to unite to get equality. Late 1800’s/early 1900’s when women were fighting for the right to vote, work - fighting for basic respect they had to unite because the system was against them. Both. Incel factions have taken responsibility for murders, and stand alone actors have been arrested for committing crimes. That is not the key point. The key point is that incels are a true threat. Individuals posting on a forum actually does create a movement. It breeds, develops and births a movement. It’s how many start out. The incel movement itself is labelled as a terrorist organisation. Well of course, it’s just unlikely. But my point stands. If someone came up and started harassing me, I wouldn’t really care what gender they are. I’ve had to deal with both males and females being aggressive with me, I’m trained in de-escalation so that would be my first call, but either way if it resorted to physicality I don’t think gender comes into it.

Varies, same as you likely. The male suicide rate is ever increasing, the challenges men face in court custody battles, the labelling of all men as sexist and misogynistic, affirmative action I don’t have a problem with but I think people need to be careful around it, and especially the mental health and available care for military men - but that does extend to women as well. I’ve seen comments in here of people who have claimed women have pushed too far and deserve retribution, people say women are worth no more than what they can offer men and so on and so forth. Now I’m not saying these are common, and I’d like to think these people would have been banned. But I don’t know. Hell, an episode of SWAT was based on this subreddit

At what point did I say downplay our issues? And it’s not resorting to saying ‘our problems are lesser pleaseeeee help’. It’s just that statistically, men do face less sexism than women - in the UK, in the west and definitely globally. I find the idea of refusing to cooperate with others and constantly batting on about how men’s problems are so severe and all feminists have taken it too far offensive. Again, not necessarily yourself but the idea in general.

It isn’t common because there’s only so many articles you can write on a group being designated as extremists. If you look up articles on misogyny as a whole, it’s incredibly common. Misogyny is amongst the most common mal-comms crimes. Society today is more misogynistic than misandrist. You won’t change my mind on that, but you are entitled to your view. You also don’t have to believe I support men’s rights if you don’t want. I know that I do, and I know I’ve probably done more for it in the re…

I’m aware - I am banned from there lmao. That’s probably a bit worse than here. But why does that mean it’s acceptable for here to be anywhere near as bad? Those groups are undeniably radical, as are some people in this group. I have little time for radicals on either side of this specific argument. It’s not conducive to a solution.
/r/MensRights13/03/25 03:29 PM

Why would I deny it? It’s right there. I didn’t say it isn’t in the news, I just said it’s not common. It’s not a bad thing misogyny is highlighted as extremism (and misandry should be too). Misogyny (and misandry) claim lives, inflict fear and is not an issue to be brushed off. While I’m not happy it’s in the news more than misandry, it’s a more rampant problem and has more real-world effects and has done for years so I’m not completely surprised. In terms of being a ‘snake in the grass’ I woul…

Re-read my comment, then try again. I stated that these were not anti-men but anti trans. The change in government has nothing to do with it. Extremist groups, including feminists/men’s rights/incels etc have been on the TWL since 2018. The change in government will not mean feminists suddenly stop being arrested for extremism. I’m not going to sit here and say men’s rights advocates speaking out would get treated the same as feminists. Of course they wouldn’t. But I don’t expect you to imply wo…

Acceptance is betterment for everyone. If one thing I’ve learnt through my time campaigning it’s that on polarising issues such as men’s rights (that a lot of people don’t like getting behind anyway as they view it as a non-issue) the more support the better. Especially from women. If you can say to a woman ‘I know women have historically, and in modern times, had it harder than men, but please understand my point of view that men also face injustice and discrimination and we should all work tog…

I’m probably biased against this sub because I view it as an echo chamber - misogyny is sadly rampant here it seems. I brought the issue of men having it better off here because people need to realise that. I’d bet ive done more for men’s rights in the real world than a fair few people here have, but that doesn’t make me a saint it makes me realistic.

It is concerning yes. Sure, there’s an issue with young men and the incel movement which is rightly labelled on terrorist watchlists, but there’s a difference between a lonely man and an incel. There’s no need to target men for the sake of them being men. As long as they aren’t hurting anyone, and are in fact often the ones being hurt, they need helping, not harassing.

Thankyou, glad someone gave me something! That is concerning. I get the idea that women are at greater risk of self harm and suicide and the factors behind them going in the first place may be different, but why not try and keep both men and women out of prison? Seems ridiculous. I’m all for keeping women out of prison, let’s just extend it to men too.

I won’t lie, I do think this sub exaggerates male (especially white male) discrimination, and I probably would have said something if I thought they were pushing the limits, but I asked because, like everyone else here, I have a vested interest in men’s rights and am out of the loop. The fact a question has 21 downvotes at time of writing shows that anyone questioning the narrative is to be shunned. This place is becoming more and more an echo chamber.

you definitely don’t kind like someone who supports ‘both sides’. I absolutely do support both sides, but I’m also enough of a realist to accept that yes, men do still have it better. However, gender inequality against either gender shouldn’t be acceptable in today’s world and the fact it is saddens me, as it should you. However, the thread I’ve been commenting in hasn’t said anything I deem needs a rebuttal defending men. ‘always on the side of women’ I’m decidedly not. I’m on the side of whoev…

This is one study I picked out at 2am. If you use Google, you’ll see plenty more saying the same thing. If you want more links, I can easily copy and paste into here - but I’d hate to insult your intelligence. The problem I’m referring to is seemingly your, and others, refusal to admit than men are significantly more aggressive. Yes - a value can be slight as well as significant. It shouldn’t matter if it’s a female in a male dominated industry. Also, after looking for 5 minutes, most scientific journals agree that men are not ‘slightly’ more aggressive than women. They are significantly more aggressive. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6318556/#:~:text=Our%20analysis%20of%20the%20anger,18.03%C2%B15.47%2C%20respectively). Your comment didn’t reference other men though did it? Saying women ‘eventually start to behave properly’ is not ‘setting boundaries’. You can have a civil conversation and not speak about them like they’re an animal. It’s embarrassing for you mate. I never said men and women are the same, just that we’re both people. The way you phrased it as ‘they eventually start to behave properly’ is just dehumanising and rude. Men’s rights groups aren’t going to get any respect from women while you imply they need to learn how to behave around men because feminism is poisoning their brains. Feminism is good, it’s when it’s taken too far that it becomes an issue - I.e. the idea that every man is to be blamed for history’s misogyny. I understand there a…

If that’s your view, I fear you’re too convinced in your own mind to change it. The vast majority of feminists do, contrary to your beliefs, want equality. I’m very awake. And yes - there may well be some people who think this. But the vast majority don’t. Perpetuating the idea that a large (or even considerable) amount of women think this way gives off major incel vibes at worst, and diminishes the perception of men’s rights movements at best. If we want to be taken seriously, we shouldn’t be ostracising ourselves from feminists or others - we should be working with them. No. You literally do not understand. What you think feminism is, is feminazism. Feminism is equality for both genders and championing equality for both - that includes pushing forward mens rights. Feminazism is female supremacy over males. Get. It. Right. Feminism is a political ideology, yes. But it doesn’t push female supremacy. It just denounces make supremacy. It believes in no supremacy. So true feminists are in fact good. By nature, a true feminist wants the best for everyone. That, by def…

You’re clouded by your judgement. There’s a bigger picture then you. I’m presuming a lot of your views are clouded by your divorce, and that you think your ex has screwed you into losing your friends. That. Isn’t. Feminism. These people may call themselves feminists, but they’re about as feminist as a toad is a frog. Studying politics in the UK comes along with the political ideologies topic. One section on this is feminism. An in depth study to actually understand what feminism is. That’s why I know. You look at key thinkers, key ideas. I support mens rights. I also support womens rights. Feminists, by definition, are people who want gender equality. I’m a feminist. I want equity between men and women. Feminazis are those who believe men have been privileged too long and deserve to be under women blah blah blah whatever. What’s so wrong about wanting fairness?
