What are you saying exactly? That the law should not apply equally to both men and women?

I appreciate your answer, and I understand your argument. You’re clearly not just throwing stuff around and your answer is well thought out, so thanks for taking the time. Maybe it’s impossible for me to understand it fully from your point of view, not having lived in that particular society. Easy for me to just sit here and say “nope, nonsense!” without appreciating any nuance.

Why's it an entirely different situation, out of interest? Being abused at home by your partner is awful, no matter who is on the receiving end

Shit you’re right. I honestly just read that as infant mortality for some reason and assumed that it meant people were dying during winter and claiming it as some sort of evidence that this stuff has any meaning. I take it back - it’s complete bullshit.

It would be interesting to see those studies. Obviously these star signs coincide with certain months of the year and therefore it's perfectly believable that there would be higher mortality rates at certain times of the year. However if this trend followed worldwide (for example when it's winter in the northern hemisphere and summer in the south), then it would certainly be more interesting

What language would that be? Do you see where this is going?

I enjoyed the screenshot. Under the "American Indian" section it asks to print the name of enrolled tribe, and gives you 15 boxes to write in. One of the examples they gave was "Native Village of Barrow Inupiat Traditional Government"... Another point regarding the article though - isn't that exactly what the "some other race" box is for? People who feel the listed options don't fit for them?

I am a native english speaker from Scotland, and found it really difficult to understand, there are parts I had no idea what they were saying. I can understand irish accents fine because I am used to hearing them. You don't automatically understand someone just because they are speaking the same language. An Irish accent is in no way indecipherable to me, by saying that you have just validated the guy's point in a roundabout way. if you don't hear an accent often, it may not be easy to understan…

It really is not a legal argument. Maybe yours is, but I’ve made it clear that’s not what my point is. You can deliberately miss the point all you want. I really have no interest in convincing you.

Yeah this isn’t a legal argument here, you’ve just decided to turn it into one. I really don’t care what it looks like in the eyes of the law or not. There are things that can be said that you deserve to get hit for. I don’t care if it’s assault or self-defence or whatever. You will not change my mind on that so you’re wasting your time trying.

Like if they threatened to kill your children or something There are tons of things and i'm astounded you thought that I "need" to back it up. Actually there was no requirement for me whatsoever to back it up but I still chose to

Well that's not true at all. There are loads of things people can say that they completely deserve to be assaulted for.

Spoken like someone who has no idea of what he’s actually talking about, and thinks the “liberals” of today somehow equate to left wing politics.

They make more sense only to American ears. The American version is pronounced differently from British English, most likely because of the modified spelling causing some confusion. We spell the word Paedophile and pronounce it "peedo-file" as opposed to the American and incorrect "pehdo-file"

I'm glad you got through it all, genuinely. You seemed remorseful from your first post, i was really directing my post at the guy who attempted to absolve you based solely on your service.

Come on man - he put the guy in a coma for a month. He's not been thrown under the bus at all, the guy could just as easily have been killed. Do you think the victim's family want to hear about the guy's combat training when they're sitting at their son/husband/father's bedside, wondering if he'll ever wake up again and how they're going to pay his medical bills? Someone who beats someone up to that degree absolutely needed to be jailed.

Kazakhstan too. I am European and a huge football fan and watch the competition religiously. So I know how much it's disliked, but it is still used.

Astroturf is not banned in men's competitions. It's regularly used in the UEFA Champion's league which is undoubtedly the premier club competition on the planet
