I literally ended my comment by saying it works both ways? Also, we were specifically talking about men.

He's not entirely wrong; this does attract controlling, abusive men, or emotionally unhealthy men with a saviour complex. I also believe this works both ways though (controlling, abusive women also look for men with signs of insecurity).

"market themselves negatively" "slut shaming is almost non-existent" Interesting that straight away we have a contradiction of sorts.

I took it to mean that in some way, he hasn't really grown or changed in his social interactions with women We grow up and become more mature/sophisticated, hopefully, but some people just don't.

Entitlement, and being miserable and intense all the time.. Being really "woe is me" and passive aggressive (he'll text me and if I don't respond in ten minutes, I'll get something like "well nice talking to you as always"). The kind of guy who takes you having other friends and a life as a personal slight Soooo unsexy.

Plus the idea that you win a woman over through relentless action despite her lack of interest is a major media trope. It's interesting that those men are often also the "beta" in the film too, though. But my point here is that yes, darkness is often sexualised, so I am agreeing with you in that.

What kind of girls are you taking home? Ones you wanna date, or ones you wanna sleep with only? Honestly a lot of it will be down to stuff like the hours you're working, or the girls you're talking to. I bet you're not getting a chance to get to know much about these girls prior to sex? Do you have any hobbies? Are you looking to meet girls anywhere else?

Number 2, definitely. I love having a partner in crime :) and I think my boyfriend would make an amazing dad.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
