8	Feminism tackling the important issues that's modern Greek borrowed from Latin No, it's Attic. The Modern Greek word is ιστορία, without the /h/ sound, i.e., "istoria." In Attic it's ἱστορία (Ionian, ἱστορίη). The rough breathing (that diacritical mark above the iota in the ancient dialects) indicates an initial /h/ sound that's not pronounced in Modern Greek.
