Don’t have an issue with this. In situations like these you always need to go with your gut feelings. If a group of people on the street feels dangerous to you you should avoid them if you can, paranoia or not.

I just read the first few pages using Amazon's "look inside" feature. I mean the book definitely appears to exist, but I'm still doubtful about who actually wrote it and with what intentions. It just fits the anti-feminist talking points a bit too perfectly.

I don't feel this was warranted. Of course she shouldn't have been hitting him, but they hugged it out at that point and she was no longer attacking him. His outburst seemed more pent up rage and and revenge coming out, and he definitely caused much more damage than she did. I don't know what the argument was about but he could and should have at least try walking away. This isn't self defense anymore.
