Hi!
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/25 12:08 AM

r/regretfulparents
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/25 12:07 AM

Holy fuck 😳
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/25 06:08 PM

I think you should talk to someone. This might not be the best place.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/25 04:59 PM

Most women I know are hyper critical of themselves 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 10:26 PM

There are girls inside the bearded man! (I saw them second because bad eyes)
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 10:08 PM

West Asian and East Asian sesame oil is not the same 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 06:48 PM

Ø
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 06:43 PM

You're so smart you make them feel insecure.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 06:42 PM

Nah. I'd hang with him irl.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 06:41 PM

Hahah fuck I'm stealing that 🤣
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 06:06 PM

💀
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 05:59 PM

Nah. Different branding every time.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 05:42 PM

Yeah. I don't understand how some people treat shopping like a hobby. It's a little dystopian. Just consuming and consuming.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 05:03 PM

The what now?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 04:59 PM

Boomers are such shopaholics. My boomer neighbours have a new package outside their door everyday.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 04:41 PM

Not a fan.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/25 08:03 PM

I mean you'll find all sorts of dynamics, but I think most people end up dating someone with similar values and experiences to themselves 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/25 07:26 PM

Precisely. This is why I think it's primarily an overblown online hypothetical issue as opposed to a significant real life problem
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/25 05:30 PM

Ooh I think I prefer this one! I really like how raw her vocals are.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 06:28 PM

Allright, tell your friend 😘
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 06:25 PM

Bahahhaha algorithm on point 😭🤣 After searching up all these songs YouTube reccomended this: You Don’t Want Love—You Want to Be Picked So You Feel Worthy Basically YouTube going: calm down, you're delulu 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 06:23 PM

I used to listen to a lot of new age music when I was younger and it reminds me a lot of that, but more rock? Thank you for introducing me! Do you have more favourites by the same artist?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 06:16 PM

Not my cup of tea but you do you 💁‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 06:03 PM

Susanne Sundfør is the queen of complicated love songs. Here's just a few faves: Accelerate: Dangerous intoxicating love Fade Away: Long distance love Kamikaze: Codependent love Delirious: Toxic and unhinged love, possibly avoidant pov Slowly: Hopeless romantic anthem If You Want Me: Situationship anthem When: Unrequited love Undercover: Hardened yearning And a palate cleanser: Alyosha: Love redeemed (the video is from her wedding, after a messy af love life 🥲)
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 06:01 PM

I prefer a slightly melancholic lover girl vibe. Please go slowly. I wanna feel every move you make. All the nightmares, they will disappear as you come in. Let's dance all night.... And you say it's gonna last forever. We have different heartbeats but all the same heartbreak. And I can feel it in the way you hold me. The way you hold me. I know you're lonely too. So please go slowly.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 05:06 PM

You can be the nice neighbour that shares food. Or save it for later 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 04:46 PM

You'd get on with my bf. Once him and his french friends bought every brand of butter available in normal supermarkets in Norway, and then they had a butter ranking party 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 04:15 PM

I think 60s mod makeup would look adorable on her.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 04:10 PM

Trying to decide between Alsace and Bordeaux.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 02:08 PM

That makes sense but I don't like drinking milk, so I'll have some yoghurt and cross my fingers 🤞
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 01:56 PM

I'm feeling it now and I will definitely feel it later 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 01:50 PM

I accidentally dropped an insane amount of Algerian chilli powder into my soup. Wish me luck.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 01:33 PM

Personally I prefer a straight forward approach, "You're cute", "I like you", so I can't help there. How to vet depends on what you're vetting for? What characteristics are you looking fpr and which ard you trying to avoid?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 04:18 PM

I don't like blondes, but Lagertha is hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 03:45 PM

That's fine. He should do what he likes, not what most people prefer.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 03:44 PM

Again. I've never been remotely interested in hookup culture, so I can't speak on that. I'm talking about people who are romantically successful.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 03:20 PM

Idk. I was never into hookup culture. I'm talking about the successful people I see around me.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 03:13 PM

Blonde buzz 👀
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 03:12 PM

He would look so much better if he shaved it off completely.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 02:47 PM

But that "other stuff" is often what makes them attractive in the first place. Drive, passion and purpose is hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 02:46 PM

But! For those loosing their hair, it is better to get a clean shave. It can look really sophisticated and it always beats the denial hairstyles.

A friend of mine told me that his best friend who married his HS sweethear feels like he missed out on sleeping around, as well as experiencing certain sexual acts that his wife isn't interested in 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 02:43 PM

It might just be because people who have have easy time with relationships also tend focus a lot on other aspects of life, so they're just sharing what works for them 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 02:40 PM

To me it honestly matters a lot. Wavy or curly dark hair is swoon worthy 🥰 Meanwhile a skinfade or buzzcut can really drag someone down.

Both parties in the happiest couples I know have all slept with more than one person.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 02:36 PM

Dresses are the best clothes by far.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 02:24 PM

Love that. I think I've reached the age where getting day tipsy is more fun than late night tipsy 👵🏻
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 02:16 PM

If you come here we can skip together 🙌
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 02:11 PM

k-pop isn't my thing but they ate 💃
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 02:04 PM

It always makes me smile when I see others do it, so idgaf if some sad grumpster isn't a fan ✌️
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 02:03 PM

Normalise frolicking!
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 02:01 PM

of course it's in french 😂

/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 10:14 AM

That's funny I've never been asked, and I even went in for a super painful UTI once 🙃

/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 08:22 AM

Why did they ask about your sexual experience at the ER?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 08:20 AM

I think I've been traumatised by really bad sweet white wine on airplanes. And then I didn't want to be rude and wsste it, so I chugged it 🤢
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 08:14 AM

I feel you. A sweet red can sort of work in very small quantities with cheese, although it's not preferable, but sweet white wine is ☹️
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 07:54 AM

We talk about all sorts of things, taboo or not. Having disagreements and debates is normal too. I just don't think this is something they care about. Most of them have been in several relationship anyway and see that as valuable experience, not as something making them damaged goods 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 07:51 AM

Good point.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 07:44 AM

Fair. It did occasionally come up in high school. Though never since I started uni.

The contrast between online discourse and irl experience is honestly baffling at times.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 10:25 PM

My friends are roughly 50/50 men and women and dating is a common topic of conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 10:23 PM

Body count is such a chronically online topic. I've never even heard the words uttered in person, and I imagine if I were to say it, my peers would think I was talking about casualties or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 09:38 PM

That's fucked. We need non-profit dating apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 03:52 PM

There's too much violence in this world and I'd rather not add to it. I understand the need for self defence, but I'd rather volunteer in a hospital or do something similar.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 03:42 PM

I believe in you!
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 03:41 PM

Is it normal for men to pay for dating apps?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 03:39 PM

No.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 03:36 PM

funnily this is the correct tempo for the chest compressions.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 03:36 PM

I care less about the Bishop and I am more amused by the reactions 🤭
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 02:56 PM

Apparently 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 02:54 PM

Love it!
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 02:54 PM

Take a deep breath hehe
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 02:53 PM

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGtM2wVRWD1/ Lol norway loves to stir the pot. The grumpy comments are such fun.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/25 11:43 AM

You could have filed a complaint instead of harassing a poor guy who was just trying to do his job?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 02:05 PM

Oh I'm so sorry. I hope you're doing ok.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 02:02 PM

I'm a witch? 🤩

ANNE OF GREEN GABLES
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 02:01 PM

Anne of Green Gables!
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 02:00 PM

My dad actually won full custody of my half brother, because his mother wasn't able to be a decent parent, so she had to pay my dad child support as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 01:50 PM

If the other parent doesn't have parental rights for some reason, you get the other parents quota.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 01:47 PM

No. The way it works is a couple gets 12 months total payed parental leave. 3 are spesifically for one parent and 3 for the other (regardless of gender). The remaining 6 are to be split however the couple likes. However, if one parent chooses not to take their 3 months, you lose them, forcing the other partner to stay home without pay or to put the child into childcare early, both of which is frowned upon. You lose perks basically, so mandate wasn't really the best word, but socially, in practic…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 01:11 PM

And that's great too. I am all for sports, partaking in them myself, but over the years I've heard many men express that they would like deeper friendships. And maybe sports can do that, but trying something different doesn't hurt. One size doesn't fit all, and considering that these meetups have been happening for a while, and they're organised by the men participating, it seems to do some people some good? Why not just let them have the W and give them some credit for being proactive?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 12:55 PM

Me too, but mainly because your GP is responsible for basic gynecological checkups here. It's still weird af, but I am glad I swapped to a femalw doctor before the bi-annual checkups started.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 12:50 PM

They're actually bonding with eachother instead of an activity. Crazy, I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 12:48 PM

Maybe where you are, but again, remember that where I live, even if the date went well the default is splitting the bill. So it is a statement and women offer to pay too. Dinner is not a normal first date here btw, so we're talking coffee, maybe drinks.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 12:47 PM

I've actually seen a lot of push for more men to stay at home with kids for longer. It's mandated minimum 3 months, and so many are having such a l blast with their kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 12:45 PM

Yes, I really like how proactive and positive it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 12:42 PM

I don't know. I obviously haven't gone. Cringing is cringe.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 12:41 PM

I can't remember being angry on my own behalf, and when you get angry for someone else people tend to be supportive.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 12:14 PM

<image> Love this! Men in the neighbouring town have started organising weekly "man meetups" to tackle loneliness. Today they met for waffles.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 12:13 PM

Because when I am treated poorly and I should get angry at the person being unfair I instead get sad or angry at myself. It's not productive.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 12:11 PM

<image> I don't necessarily think this is good.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 11:49 AM

Ok, but imagine if he bakes and collects antique tea sets. You could have the best tea parties with you and the dolls.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 11:43 AM

Yeah, I get it too. It's not as intense where I live. A friend of mine is portugese and she said she never wants to work in Portugal again because of how so many men behave there. I remember when she first came here, she couldn't stop talking about how she was able to wear cute clothes without getting harassed on the street 😔
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 11:30 AM

Shit it looks bad..
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 11:16 AM

Unrelated, but I love her hair.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 10:56 AM

That is not at all the standard in many western European countries, including my own. 50/50 or pay for what you had is the default. So if a guy or girl offers to pay, it is a way to signal that you really loved your time and would like to see them again. If a second date happens, it is also the norm for the person who was treated to return the gesture. This is also why refusing someone's offer to pay is a way to reject further contact, because it is implied that the kindness will be reciprocated…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 10:54 AM

This happens a lot, but still most men aren't that delulu, so we don't stop being nice just because of a few creeps.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 10:51 AM

That's entirely unacceptable. Spanking your kids is illegal here, let alone punching them in the face wtf.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 10:48 AM

Expecting it by default is so weird. It wouldn't even feel like a romantic gesture if he did offer to pay if you expect it no matter what.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 10:47 AM

Neuroplasticity significantly decreases in your mid 20s however, so you're less prone to large and sudden change.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 03:17 PM

I second this.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 03:14 PM

That's entirely fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 03:01 PM

You could hsve issues with it without considering it cheating. It could be the morality issue first and foremost. But indeed if they're not having sex it wouldn't negatively affect their sex life, though perhaps the romantic dynamic, although I'm unsure of how it could withhold a lack of sex. I suppose I just don't think being in an unfulfilling relationship is > than being single.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:53 PM

Lol I'm sure some would be into that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:50 PM

But you're creating a self fulfilling prophesy if you stay inside and never give yourself the chance to grow.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:50 PM

Do you think porn would be enough to make up for the lack of sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:49 PM

What if she changes her mind on the subject. Over time as she learns more about the industry for example, she becomes increasingly uncomfortable. Do you think it's wrong of her to leave him if they can't see eye to eye?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:46 PM

But that can change. I've seen it change with some of my male friends that I grew up with.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:45 PM

I agree. Just own it ✌️
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:43 PM

That completely changes the circumstances. Sex is more than PIV, so I don't see why sex would need to seize, but if it does, I think he is within his right to end it. It is sad to leave after someone's surgery, but at the same time I completely understand how it could make a romantic relationship unsustainable in the long run.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:42 PM

Yeah I agree, hence my last point. Express your feelings, if you don't find common ground it is perfectly reasonable to leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:37 PM

If you're not having sex you've got bigger issues imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:36 PM

Maybe if some people weren't paralysed by these things they'd do better with actual relationships?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:35 PM

More examples please.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:33 PM

Nah. Who's got time for guilty pleasures? Just like what you like. You'll never please everyone no matter what you do.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:33 PM

I love puppies. My friend has a shiba inu puppy and he absolutely melts my heart.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:30 PM

idk what that means 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:28 PM

Let's say she does, in the process of explaining why she would like him not to watch it. Is it reasonable?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:27 PM

Do tell.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:25 PM

Of course he could lie. He could also lie about other things including cheating. Being dishonest to your partner about something that you know is important to them makes you a bad partner imo, and just generally a dishonest person. I suppose the best way to go about it for the woman would be to share her feelings about it, see what he thinks, see if he offers to change his consumption and if he doesn't, don't try to coerce him but decide if it's a deal breaker or not and make a decision.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:25 PM

I am all for him breaking up. I think it was the only way. Continuing to shame and pressure her would be shitty and I think the same regarding porn. If he doesn't agree to, she's free to leave, not try to coerce him, so we agree there.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:20 PM

Interesting. What if she was "withholding" sex because the porn made her so uncomfortable that it killed her drive?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:18 PM

I appreciate the neuance. I am also very weary of controlling behaviour in relationships, so I get where you're coming from. I suppose I see it as relevant to general relationship boundaries, the same way it is to increase commitment or to discuss opening a relationship. And I guess I agree with you, because under those circumstances I think the way to go is to express your needs without demands and then see if you align. If you don't it is okay to walk away, but not to hover breaking up over th…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:16 PM

But if she expressed spesifically that it's something she's uncomfortable with, do you think it's similar to saying you ate one type of food when you ate another? This is something that is important to his partner and he knows she would feel betrayed by his lies.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:12 PM

That's not the issue in question. Sharing the texts is a matter of privacy and a separate debate. I see two main reasons to oppose porn. 1. it's an exploitative industry, for creators and consumers. 2. It conflicts with monogamy, being exclusively sexually and romantically involved with one person. Wearing a swimsuit to surf isn't comparable if you think for more than a second.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:10 PM

Not like today. What if she asked you not to consume porn with people in it, meaning hentai, comics, erotics etc is fine?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:04 PM

How unfortunate. Being dishonest with your partner like that says a lot about someone's character.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:03 PM

What happened to #notallmen?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:02 PM

That's very unfortunate. I would feel so guilty lying to my partner, it would eat me up inside.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:02 PM

That's fair enough. It sounds like you'd be able to have a good conversation and either come to an agreement or decide that the incompatibility is too significant.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:01 PM

With his hands? 🤷‍♀️ How do you think people masturbated in the past?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:59 PM

Do you think most men would lie instead of telling her no?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:58 PM

If he doesn't want to, then I agree. But do you think there might be men who have such a casual relationship to porn that it's hardly s big ask anyway? And what do you think about porn consumption and monogamy (romantic and sexual exclusivity)? Is it still monogsmy if he is paying OF models, requesting custom content, chatting etc?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:57 PM

She was a professional surfer and he was upset about her wearing swimwear... That's hardly comparable. But I agree that she shouldn't try to coerce him into changing his behavior. If he doesn't agree, there's s compatability issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:55 PM

I see. So if she said no real humans, but hentai, comics, erotica etc is fine?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:53 PM

But what if she explains why she feels that way and he gets it, and because he loves her he's happy to do it? I feel like porn is a special area in regards to control, because it can have significant impacts on a relationship, and the point of monogamy is romantic and sexual exclusivity?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:50 PM

It's always funny when certain guys do both. Women are so degenerate! Now let me watch her get insert porn term.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:48 PM

Then he should break up? I also think severely mismatched libidos (over time, not talking about reduced libido because of grief, illness etc) are a good reason to break up as well. But I rank sexual compatability very high.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:47 PM

Silly me, I forgot how porn saved women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:44 PM

So if he wasn't cool with it and she tells him it makes her uncomfortable and ends the relationship rather than trying to pressure him, would you say that is fair?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:42 PM

But he could still masturbate? What if she's typically a 4 times a week sort of person while he prefers 6. Is it unreasonable to ask it then? Again, masturbation isn't off the table, just consuming porn.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:39 PM

Fair!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:37 PM

What makes you say that?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:37 PM

What if her feelings changed on the issue? Would it be reasonable for her to ask him? If he tells her that isn't what he signed up for, do you support her breaking up?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:36 PM

That's cool that you had the conversation earlier on!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:35 PM

Where do you draw the line? What if she has a pretty average libido and his is above average? (obviously he can still masturbate) As for asking to get lied to, that's pretty messed up ngl. If he isn't okay with it, then I think he owes her to tell her as much. If you don't have trust in your relationship you have nothing.

But the ones that struggle, who make efforts but still have a rough time, do you blame them or can you feel some sympathy? You're quite online, so I would have though you'd understand at least to some extent that for some it's not as simple as "go outside snd talk to people". Generally speaking, I have found that encouragement is more effective than shaming people.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 03:43 PM

Ok. Maybe I'm just too romantic 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 03:22 PM

Not as far as I know. I've only heard him mentioned as a joke.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 03:21 PM

I'm not sure tbh. Less than the Netherlands, but still noticeable.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 02:24 PM

I don't think so.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 02:23 PM

I think it's mostly about finding someone you're compatible with. An ex of mine had a lower libido and need for hugs/kisses/cuddles than me. There were other issues too, but it certainly didn't help.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 02:14 PM

Newer builds and renovated builds don't do men's toilets anymore. It's gender neutral rooms (not stalls).

An increase in autism diagnosis does not equal a rise in autism. As for loneliness, do you genuinely believe it's simply a result of laziness and not a number of cultural and socioeconomic factors, or are you just being facetious?

/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 11:42 AM

Indeed... But also I read that more millennials are actual leftists than previous generations when they got up in the years. Meanwhile gen z is getting boomerfied 🥲 and the political gap between men and women is growing. I wonder if that gap is a big part of gen z dating issues? As a so called zillenial, it hasn't really been a big problem in my dating (although I have rejected two men because of their politics). My boyfriend is on the left, not as far as me, but he is on issues that I wouldn't …

Speaking from my own experience, I learned a lot about my own sexuality, needs and preferences from the relationships I've been in. What I thought I knew without experience was far from the informed truth. I had no clue what I liked, and I've learned that sexual compatibility is incredibly important for relationship longevity.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 07:19 PM
2

It depends on the reason. Need time and a deeper emotional connection? I get that. I'll happily wait. Virgin? Probably not. I want someone to make an informed choice about me, so I like someone with some experience. Mind you I'm in my late 20s. Waiting until marriage? Absolutely not. I need to know if we're sexually compatible before making a commitment like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 06:53 PM

I see. I think the shortest adult I know is just under 160cm. But people are tall here. I don't think it's unusual for women to be shorter than that in east asia.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 04:19 PM

He does offer some solutions, not only asking for accountability from men, but also for societal acknowledgement of how we're setting men up to be lonely.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 04:18 PM

How short do you have to be to be technically a dwarf?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 04:14 PM

Interesting. To be fair, my family does have a lot of tall women. I am 173cm (5'8) and I'm the short one.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 04:11 PM

Put it on 2x speed. It's only 13 minutes 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 04:10 PM

One thing I noticed on my dads side of the family, and in my close family, is that the youngest sibling is the tallest, regardless of gender. I am taller than my big brother, my little sister is taller than me. My female younger cousin is taller than my male older cousin and vice versa (my dad has a lot of siblings).

Wigs are an underrated solution to drastic hair change urges!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 02:39 PM

Ahh yeah that might be a little tricky. I mean you absolutely can dye it darker, but you have to be ready for frequent touch ups to avoid the balding look.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 02:33 PM

Look up ghost roots!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 02:20 PM

Same girl. I think if I ever wanted to dye my hair again I'd just do something funky with lowlights(except darker) or something similar and keep the roots as is.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 02:15 PM

Boasting about an ex is so weird. Look here's a person things didn't work out with
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 02:13 PM

I dyed it brown once when I was 14. When it started growing out, my blonde roots made it look like I was balding 🙃 So I got it stripped back to blonde, which normally fries your hair, but on me it came right off without making my hair crispy. The hairdresser was shocked. I guess my hair just really didn't like the brown lol.

Tbh I was passive at first too. But I drowned in "Hey", messages or other generic openers, so instead of digging though it all to look for the interesting messages, I started over, became more intentional with my swiping and took matters into my own hands. It didn't take long from there, so I really think it's the best way.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 06:18 PM
3

When I was on OLD I almost always sent the first message. 1. Because I feel like it is the polite thing to do when you swipe right and instantly match. 2. Because it allowed me to set the tone. I wasn't interested in "Hey, what's up?" type conversations, so by messaging first I could immediately steer things away from that. I don't understand why women wouldn't do that. It is much more efficient.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 06:09 PM

I think I might forego the apps if I was a man. Most of the men I know that got into relationships the last two years met irl, through work or sports.

That's very cultural. In Norway women are more proactive than men. Cold approaching isn't a thing without alcohol, but approaching at work or through friends and hobbies is still vdry much a thing. Men tend to be more shy than women here for some reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 03:30 PM

To be honest with the state pf the world, perhsps a different system wouldn't be a bad idea. Everything including people has become commodified, community is dying and people feel disconnected not only from eachother but also from themselves. If it isn't serving us, maybe it's time to move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 03:15 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 01:24 PM

I've heard of this. Don't you think it might be considerably skewed, since it's a self selecting sample? I imagine the average user is far too casual about it to bother with something like this. It would never cross my mind, and I'm someone who's interested in data and the topic of dating.

I still know plenty of couples who met at work, at uni, through friends or a shared hobby. But yes, apps can be good for women. What I like most about them is the opportunity to meet people you'd be less likely to meet organically. People working in different fields, living in different areas etc.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 11:34 AM

It's interesting that despite women having a better experience than men on the apps, more men use them.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 11:24 AM

It was max once a month. And yes, there are government recommendations. For smoking 0. With alcohol I think they realise that it's impossible to make everyone sober, so they recommend a maximum amount of units per week.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 11:21 AM

Not really. But the public health is a very popular subject here.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 11:15 AM

Yes, I know. Most sushi takeaway is gross and drowning in mayo. Of course we knew it was bad, but it's really nasty when you realise how bad it is. Not very romantic.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 11:11 AM

I imagine if you can think of something, anything, there's probably at least one person that's into it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 10:49 AM

Danish researchers have analysed the content of fast food meals from 184 restaurants around the country. Despite of strict EU food regulations, the nutritional findings were so bad that they concluded that an adult shouldn't eat fast food more than once a month at most. And some wonder why fast food dates are a no??

Classical and jazz at least. Simply because I need them to want to join me to those gigs.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 10:01 AM

You sound like you have the right ideas already. I like it when people strike up a conversation, even if I am not interested, it is lovely to connect with people. If someone gets grumpy about it, you know they are not the kind of person you'd care to impress anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 09:54 AM

I remember as a little kid I liked it when a show or film had a character that looked like me. As an adult it doesn't cross my mind, but I've always been overrepresented. I can imagine that of I never saw myself represented growing up I might be more aware of it as an adult.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 09:42 AM

Is Turkish coffee the kind that has cardamom in it?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 09:38 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 09:37 AM

I think it was just one or two. We still have plenty.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 02:48 PM

Not really. My country doesn't really have castles and other popular wedding venues lile in other parts of Europe. Churches are also free to use, so it's a popular choice for a mostly atheist population.

I think a lot of the discourse around the show latched on to the manosphere part as well as the name drop of Tate, because of how current it is. My favourite episode, and where I feel like we learn the most about why he did it was the episode with the psychologist. We learn about his temperament as he loses it repeatedly. We learm how he simultaneously sees himself as better and worse than his peers. "Most people are stupid", "I am the ugliest so people bully me", "I asked her out when she was w…

/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/25 01:22 PM

Oh no, my dad has options. Lots of them too. He's still handsome, he is fit and healthy, he is financially solid, he has cool hobbies, he is extroverted and makes friends with everyone, he is kind and funny and openminded, he is the life of the party. He just doesn't know how to be alone, so he rushed into the first option.

I think it was right for her. She ended the marriage, she wanted to rediscover parts of herself. Getting entangled romantically with a new person right away isn't the best way to do that. by the time she met her boyfriend she was solid in her shoes, happy, confident and she knew exactly what she did and didn't want (I like her boyfriend more than I like my dad's girlfriend, with whom he rushed into a relationship with way too quickly imo). My mum was picky, and it served her incredibly well.

My mum actually chose to stay single a lot longer than my dad did. She was happy living her best life and not looking for a man. She just happened to meet someone who fit right into it. She would still have been happy if they didn't meet. After the divorce she thrived in a way I've never seen her before.

That's a different discussion. My parents have kids and it was fine. It didn't cause us any problems at all, because my parents were mature and considerate in how they handled it.

I think one reason divorce doesn't scare me is because I've seen it go really well. My mum divorced my dad. It was about time imo, not because my dad is bad, he's actually great! But because they simply weren't making eachother happy. They are very different people, and not in a "we complete eachother" sort of way. I don't doubt that the first few months were tough, but they're both so much better off. My mum moved to the city, where she could be closer to her friends, to her favorite activities…

My process was looking in the following order: Name/age Glance at first picture Read bio Look through all the pictures. Most people got eliminated at one step or another. If they didn't, I'd match and message. I preferred to message first to set the tone.

I'm watching a norwegian show (age limit 15+). There's a quick montage in the beginning where they show the arrival of the Internet, starting innocent with hamster dance and such, but then it gets dark and there is a one second clip of a penis getting hit by a hammer 💀

Grab a coffee and walk somewhere nice. It is perfect for a first date because there is no alcohol, it's low stakes, and it's easy to quickly get out once you've finished your coffee if the vibes are off. edit: yes, I've asked men out.

Ahh I though you meant a sheet between you and the blanket. We have fitted sheets on our mattresses too of course. Alright in that case your setup is indeed simpler.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 10:43 AM

That's more complicated. Two movable layers instead of one. Just get a feather summer duvet. Super thin, airy, light and breathable and add a linen or cotton cover and voila ✨
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 09:37 AM
1

What is your bedding?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 09:14 AM
1

No not all. Here it is quite a bit more minimalistic haha but you can still change things up by rotating different coloured and patterned duvet/pillow cover sets as you wash them. Some people use decorative pillows and blankets but it's far from most and seen as overkill.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 09:14 AM
2

Oh pretty! I like the colours. My mum always said: I don't understand why americans like to share farts 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 09:08 AM
2

Nope no sheets. The duvet cover is basically like a pillow cover for the duvet, so it stays in place and is as easy to wash as a sheet. I'm glad you wash your pillows! I'm sure most people do. Also we do separate duvets. That way you can wrestle it all you want without disturbing your partner. <image>
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 08:44 AM
3

It's unnecessarily complicated. Just use a mattress cover, a duvet with a duvet cover and call it a day. Oh and not all the decorative pillows that don't get cleaned frequently.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 08:29 AM
2

The layers. I just have a duvet with a duvet cover that I change every week along with the mattress cover. If I were to introduce a sheet or blanket I'd be a tanhled mess by the time I woke up. And the comforter, which doesn't get washed regularly is only separated by a movable sheet?? Maybe I just move too much but I find it icky.

I will never not think American bedding is weird.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/25 08:27 PM

Yes, I'm well aware. The reason why masking is often experienced as particularly burdensome for autistuc people is because of the extent to which they may do it and because some of the learned behaviours strongly contradict with their own needs and inclinations. One example is supressing stimming, and yes, everyone engages in self stimulating behavior, but it's about scale as well as it's emotional regulatory impact.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/25 08:32 AM

Does it count as cannibalism if you eat yourself?

Regarding neuroatypicals, it is a matter if degree. Are there more low support need autistic girls perhaps? I'm not sure. Is it easier or do they make more of an effort due to pressue? I also don't know. I sort of addressed the bias thing in another comment. Research is far from perfect, but there is a curiosity there and intention of greater understanding. Read with a critical eye and it can be immensely useful. And yes, some of it is shit. That's where we have things like peer reviewing and sy…

Anyway I'd be curious to see how gender effects your treatment too. From personal experience regarding women, I have noticed that girls tend to get heavily bullied as kids and teenagers, if they're pretty they might have a phase of being idolised and sexualised as a manic pixie dream girl in their young adult years, and if they're not conventionally attractive or old they get more silent judgement, looks, exclusion etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 07:59 PM
2

I said we don't know the cause of the masking, not that it doesn't happen more in girls. It does. Is it because it's easier? Are women just more agreeable by nature? Are they conditioned? Who knows. When surveying for masking, the emphasis isn't on how good you are at it, but how much you do it. Do you do this in that situation in order to fit in, how about that in this other situation, usually always checking how it affects them, making them tired, uncomfortable etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 07:53 PM

Can't we just make peace signs to greet eachother? ✌️ The worst are certain dutch people and their slippery wet cheek kisses 😬
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 07:49 PM

The crying is a joke lol but it's still nasty.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 07:47 PM

The control group is there to confirm the experience of masking for neuroatypical people. In gender based studies male or femalr control groups are used. Being good at masking can be an advantage, but I want to stress that it can be very harmful as well. Burnout, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, suicide, being so agreeable that you get into dangerous situations and sexually victimised, end up in an abusive relationship and so on. It isn't about men or women being better. It has simply been…

/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 07:29 PM

Women and girls are generally considered better at masking because they more often than men go under the radar for super long. Women may get mkre empathy, but there are many studies that show how little girls behaviour, especially social behaviour us scrutinised and rewarded/punished more than that of boys, because there is a social expectation for girls to be more sociable, more agreeable and more pro social. No, masking isn't limited to autism. Is it easier for girls to mask or is there more p…

Masking is basically the conscious learning and replication of social behaviour that neurotypicals tent do conform to without effortlessly without a thought (which varies from culture to culture). This mimicry requires effort and energy and is often at the expense of ones own needs and preferences. Of course people generally make efforts to be socially acceptable, but autistic people often do it to a much larger degree, very consciously, and it is strongly associated with burnout. A very stereot…

Both can be true. It's pretty well documented that girls mask more and sooner. As a result they're diagnosed much later on average. That doesn't mean that men don't face more pressure to initiate, and that this role can be particularly difficult if you struggle socially.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 12:13 PM

I feel like that's the old gen Chinese though? The young ones are usually pretty chill. But hey, I'm all for shitting on all tourists. Norwegian tourists can't shut up about beer prices to save their lives, and they're always sunburnt and too naked.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 07:05 PM

They love building little storylines and character stats for us ✨
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:56 PM

When in Rome 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:52 PM

Nah. I've been to mega lakes. They still feel like lakes, but big. I think the main difference is the air. It smells and feels different and the sky even looks different. Plus freshwater always feels at least a little murky.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:41 PM

Literally the worst meal of my entire life.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:39 PM

See that one doesn't really work because the rest of the world already thinks the US is up its own ass, so it's more of a self own.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:38 PM

No????
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:32 PM

Oh my that's rough...
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:32 PM

Yeah but it's usually just really boring. You need to get more creative! Go harder and more spesific. Hurt our feelings! To be fair we need to get better too. Most American jokes are about fatness and school shootings 🙃
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:31 PM

But it's not the same through a car window 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:29 PM

As a European I'm so used to bullying other European countries for sport and good fun (as well as dragging my own), but making fun of the US feels kinda mean 🥲 (But it's undeniably funny none the less)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:27 PM

I am starting to realise I may have a texture problem. I don't want it all piled on top of eachother like that! and then the veggies get warm and soggy 🤢 It reminds me of an abomination they have in the Netherlands called kapsalon. <image>
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:24 PM

So much wasted time. Sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:20 PM

They loud though 👀 but to be fair, not as loud as the drunk brits.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:17 PM

I thought it was mostly a joke. Like polixe officers and donuts.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:16 PM

Especially with beef. I can have a pretty big serving of chicken, but beef is so intense.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:16 PM

I thought it was just a steriotype. Like when Europeans say Americans are all fat.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:15 PM

I'd rather have beef bibimbap 🤌
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:14 PM

Some burgers are more edible than others, but I'd never choose a burger if there were other options. I hate burger restaurants 😭
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:13 PM

I'll give it some thought 🤓
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:11 PM

warm lettuce 🤮
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:11 PM

That really depends on your pizza. Plus burgers nowadays are kinda insane with all the sauce, bacon, cheese etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:10 PM

I kinda want to make one too 👀
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:04 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 05:29 PM

You're not missing out.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 05:23 PM

I'd rather just have a pizza 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 05:20 PM

I have no idea what I'd have. I don't have a particular food that I rank much higher than another food I like.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 05:19 PM

I think my issue might be a bug slab of meat between bread 🤔I also don't like club sandwiches. Just serve me a chicken fillet with salad and bread on the side!
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 05:11 PM

🤯
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 05:10 PM

I'm not even vegitarian, but a large slab of ground beef just isn't appealing, and then contrasted with the soft bland bread 🙃 just no.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 05:02 PM

Cheeseburger or pizza?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 05:01 PM

What???
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 05:00 PM

I don't understand burgers 🥲 Would you choose a burger over a pizza?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 04:56 PM

Do people actually like hamburgers?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 04:53 PM

I chewed it so good too.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 04:28 PM

Same with horror movies "Oh no, I'm scared 🥺 hold me!"
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 03:59 PM

I've never been pickpocketed and I'm not even careful 😎
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 03:54 PM

That's actually ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 03:47 PM

When I was studying I didn't have a spesific number in mind (although I made sure I had a good buffer of savings in case my laptop would die or something). I just limited my habits to reduce frivolous spending, knowing that the money I saved could be used on things that bring me much more, even in the short term. Things like travel.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 03:29 PM

They do?? wtf
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 03:26 PM

I'm having tea with milk in it and I don't feel like crap 🤯
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 03:16 PM

If I'm not willing to be there for them when they get sick I will simply not marry them. You can do whatever you want ofc, but if you care about being an ethical and decent person, then good communication and being honest about your stance early on is crucial. Allow the other person to decide if they want to invest into a relationship with you. If you don't, you're a pretty shitty person ngl.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 03:15 PM

That's terrible. I am sorry.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 03:01 PM

It used to be a hipster thing, but now it's just normal. I guess at most it might indicate that you're young, or very old. There's a couple of generations in the middle where it's not really a thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 07:22 PM

Yeah, I've heard the class argument, and I suppose it makes sense. I guess some bodytype preferences in different cultures and throughout history could also be linked to class. In some periods and places, it meant access to abundance, in others, money for healthy food and time to excersise. Mustaches and facial hair in general is so specific it's interesting indeed. I can't really think of a why.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 07:03 PM

I suppose we can see examples across many cultures. First thing that comes to mind for me is tanning. In norway it's such a big thing. People use spray-tan, self-tanning, sun beds. Some years ago young women were even taking harmful drugs that cause hyperpigmentation in order to get as dark as possible. Meanwhile in Korea the opposite is true and people want to be as pale as possible.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 06:39 PM

Can't blame norway on this one. Just not my crowd 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 05:59 PM

Not at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 05:50 PM

I wouldn't even know how to get my hands on it. Tried once, didn't like it and so I am clueless. But thank you for trying to help.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 05:41 PM

Haha clever idea. But I don't smoke.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 05:36 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 05:26 PM

Yes 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 04:58 PM

Me too.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 04:40 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 04:28 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 04:25 PM

That's very generous of you!
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 04:22 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 04:20 PM

What's the occasion?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 04:18 PM

I used to find mustaches ugly, like face breaking ugly. Then a few years ago they became trendy and I started seeing them more and more. I didn't like it at all, but still, over time I came to view them more neutrally. A couple of years passed at some point I realised I think they're hot, which blew my mind a little. Which makes me wonder, how much of what we find attractive is just conditioned by exposure?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 11:55 AM

Spotify. As for everything else 🏴‍☠
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 10:54 AM

I used to be like that, but at some point a switch turned in my brain and now idgaf.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 10:18 AM

How silly. I guess norway might be somewhat family oriented, because having close relationships with your parents is the norm here. I'm close to both my parents and I would never choose someone who didn't appreciate that.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 01:31 PM

I don't think this is a big conversation irl. At least not in my experience. Women I know see a man having good relationships with his family as a green flag. Personally I adore my boyfriend's mother. She raised an amazing son, so unsurprisingly she's an amazing woman.

Not the most important, but it's up there. It can be quite the indication that you're on the same "wavelength". Also, having a shared sense of humour is gold when life gets tough.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 10:59 AM

Call be boring, but I kinda like having sex with one person 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 10:56 AM

What kind of meetups?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 10:56 AM

Yes but styled? Idk hair.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 08:30 AM

Saltburn
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/25 09:57 PM

Those face framing slicked down little curl things that some women do is one of the prettiest things in the world.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/25 09:51 PM

Yes 😭
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/25 09:33 PM

The worst part is that I though I was so mature, "an old soul", then I read my diaries and it's fucking slop.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/25 09:32 PM

This is why I'm on PPD. I have a dark past.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/25 09:21 PM

I just fell down a nostalgia rabbit hole and very unfortunately remembered that I had a crush on this fucking twat 💀 <image>
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/25 09:21 PM

This will be you soon, I can feel it!
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/25 09:08 PM
1

Depends on what you're into 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/25 11:21 AM

When I was a kid I was devastated that I couldn't find any. I used to explore abandoned so-called haunted houses, only to find nothing. Sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 02:49 PM

What are those creepy demon things stalking her?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 02:46 PM

Thank you! I might have endo too, considering most of the women on my mothers side suffer particularly badly. I have found a way to manage it with painkillers, but it isn't unusual that I have to stay home one day a month because I'm too busy being a ball of pain on the floor.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 02:35 PM

Gentlemen! I don't have a pp, so take my review with a grain of salt, but these boxers are super comfy. They are also great for when your skirt is really short and you don't want to flash your bum in the wind.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 01:57 PM

He could have been cheeky, but he chose to be nasty.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 01:51 PM

It is actually crazy that my doctor prescribed me birth control pills for my cramps when I was 15. The awful sneaking side effects were never even mentioned as a possibility, so I only realised their cause once I went off the pill and quickly started feeling so much better.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 01:47 PM

People wear tightey whiteys? I thought they died in the 70s or something. I have never seen a pair in person.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 01:37 PM

You'd be wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 12:11 PM

Women are human. Humans are flawed, multifaceted, diverse. Do you reckon you would struggle to find men exemplifying a lack of compassion?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 12:07 PM

He looks grumpy in the pictures. People are usually attracted to a more positive demeanor. I obviously don't assume he looks like that all of the time irl. Many people look awkward in pictures, but when asking for advice online people will judge him more harshly because of his exprsssion.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 10:56 AM

Really, dude?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 10:17 AM

Shave head, iron clothes and smile 😀
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 10:06 AM

No.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 10:05 AM

Cheese! I approve.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 09:06 AM

Maybe if you're reading self help dribble 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/25 09:01 AM

Skyr is amazing.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 09:44 PM

Skyr as well, Greek yogurt and mozzarella. I like dairy.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 09:43 PM

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNdeCpYmP/ me too, bro 😭
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:57 PM

Nah. It got pretty bad pretty quick. And tbh I'm not sure how good it was anyway, because I watched it as a gullible teen.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:56 PM

bewbs
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:52 PM

it went downhill so bad
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:48 PM

Belly full, balls empty 👀
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:44 PM

I think the difference is that in france bread completes a meal. In Germany bread is the meal.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:33 PM

😂
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:32 PM

Yes. It does make sense, but before I knew this I was genuinely confused about why french people were talking about 🥖 all the time. I assumed they just really like bread. Which isn't untrue.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:24 PM

Yes! Dry cider spesifically.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:15 PM

And we love them for it! Did you know they call everything baguette? Drum stick? Baguette. Conducting baton? Baguette. Magic wand? Baguette. Chopstick? Baguette. Ski pole? Baguette. The arms on your glasses? Baguette. (baguette actually means stick)
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:12 PM

I thought he was holding a kangaroo.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:04 PM

Your friends don't sound very nice...
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:03 PM

They eat everything with baguette and wine. Tbh it works.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:01 PM

Mash them on a baguette and have some wine - french boyfriend
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 07:01 PM

That was cute.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 06:59 PM

I'm mostly get turned on by my boyfriend expressing interest. I'm very responsive I guess. When he goes away for a while for work or something I'm basically ace until he returns and then it's pretty feral 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 06:59 PM

This is normal in so many countries. Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 06:56 PM

Rice cooker. With chopsticks?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 06:46 PM

Not even pad thai?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 06:33 PM

These are hilarious. I can just imagine all the strangers coming up to kindly let them know that their underwear is showing 😂 "Oh no, it's ✨fashion✨"
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/25 10:49 PM

Even if your intent is mockery, the collateral damage is greater than any impact your target will feel.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/25 10:45 PM

That looks amazing. I'd eat it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/25 10:28 PM

Holy shit that film was fucked. I should have expected as much with a title like Red Rooms but I'm happy I'm not sleeping alone tonight 😨
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/25 10:00 PM

I struggle rolling Rs more personally, because my norwegian dialect uses the french R. I did some Italian lessons in elementary and I was pretty terrible. I think the R sound might be one of the most difficult sounds to master. It was difficult for me when I first started learning English too. 7 year old me saying refrigerator was hilarious.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/25 08:57 PM

Americans usually sound like sims when they speak another language. I think it's mostly because of the R sound, being very unique. It's like nails on a chalkboard when used in other languages.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/25 08:51 PM

I had a maple syrup flavoured tea that my friend brought me from a trip. That shit was amazing and I regularly miss it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/25 08:48 PM

Ah I see. I guess you just don't have a strong ear for accents.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/25 08:47 PM

Some simply find it amusing. But yeah, if you speak Canadian French in France they'll definitely bully you.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/25 08:42 PM

You really can't hear it? Are you Québécois?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/25 08:41 PM

I'm watching a Canadian film. Canadian French is hilarious. Like normal French but with a frog in their mouth.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/25 08:34 PM

That's so lovely! The tulips are very pretty.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 03:15 PM

Bring your sexual fantasies elsewhere pls.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 03:00 PM

Go for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 03:00 PM

You're just jealous that men here get approached by women ✨
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 02:54 PM

Tell me you're bad in bed without telling me you're bad in bed.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 02:52 PM

Boooo
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 02:51 PM

Nice!
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 02:20 PM

I wonder how big of a factor this is for dead bedrooms? 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 02:20 PM

If he's not concerned about my pleasure I'm not concerned about his. No sex for him✨
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 02:18 PM

Some people are insane.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 12:56 PM

You too 🤗
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 12:41 PM

I'm gonna celebrate by being the "cool aunt" to my lovely little niece.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 12:28 PM

So many dudes have weird churchy fetishes. I guess it's the taboo of it all. One time I was on a first date with a guy, we went to look at a church (I love gothic architecture). At one point he tried to cup a feel under my skirt. The way my hand slapping across his face echoed through the church 😘🤌 It's one of the few times I've been able to stand up for myself like that. Still proud 😌
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 12:02 PM

I agree. Using vulnerable women as incubators is thoroughly fucked up.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 11:56 AM

Our national cutiepie.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 11:30 AM

<image> Happy international women's day lol Cunt Party Of course we're celebrating International Women's Day! With oysters and other treats (Norway isn't very pc)
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 11:12 AM

I should be jailed 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 12:53 AM

I think that matters less than how you express your grievances.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 12:17 AM

I use the men's room all the time 👀 The queve for the women's is always so fucking long ! I don't do it when there are urinals though. Only normal ones, where each toilet is in its own room.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 12:16 AM

I did that lol. But we have what's called a co-living contract. Most couples have one of those. It outlines what will happen in the case of a breakup and it is legally binding.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 12:10 AM

Not beautiful, because, but in my city most men are attractive. Too blonde though ☹️
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:32 PM

It isn't unusual to have kids and then marry. I wouldn't do that but I don't do a lot of dating/relationship stuff norwegians do.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:30 PM

<image>
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:25 PM

Oh, is it? I wouldn't have guessed. Scandis usually live together, buy a house, live together some more and then marry. I guess Scandis want to feel as sure as one can that this is forever before committing like that. They also like to be stable, finished uni, solid career etc first.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:20 PM

For me, yes. But I'm so happy that my friends have dogs, so I can play with them when I want but I don't have to get up at 6 to walk them or pick up their poop.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:18 PM

First guy gives rasputin vibes 💀
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:15 PM

Love that 🥺
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:13 PM

Tbh that sounds wholesome and adorable, so I'm happy for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:13 PM

I have no idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:11 PM

Same
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:10 PM

I think one of the largest relationships related culture shocks being on a sub with Americans is how young some of you marry. In Norway marriage is something people do in their 30s. Not teens and early 20s
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:10 PM

What breed is it?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:05 PM

I think so too. Being in a relationship with the wrong person is miserable.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:04 PM

I'm sorry 😅 I'm sure you don't align with my ignorant and prejudiced vibe checks.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:03 PM

As long as she doesn't live in your handbag you don't give pomeranian vibes lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 09:35 PM

Yeah. I figured pretty much everyone would say 2. I'm mostly curious about who would say 1. Unsurprisingly bmi guy, but he's a troll so 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 09:34 PM

Yes. The border collie girl and the pomeranian girl are not the same vibe at all. When I think dog person I default to border collie girl, probably because I prefer bigger dogs. (I'm a cat person btw)
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 09:31 PM

Stereotypically in my mind, a dog person is fit and smiley.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 09:26 PM

Yeah. Pretty bodies are nice, but without a good brain (for me) to fill it, it looses all and any appeal.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 09:24 PM

Based.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 09:23 PM

Yeah, I know. I just didn't want posssible dead bedroom or infidelity to factor in.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 09:22 PM

Her bmi is 22.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 09:18 PM

Not the middle ground... I've been a bit of a serial monogamist since I was 15 😅 Not lots of relationships but some very long ones. I did have a 10ish month long break from dating after a particularly hard breakup. But then when I started dating again it only took a few months before I met my boyfriend, so the longest I've been single after 15 y.o. was 15 months, and that was exceptional. Can't recommend my ways. The heartache has been intense af and I was super co-dependent in my teens and earl…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 09:14 PM

Q4M: Choose a girlfriend. Stacy, 10/10 to your standards looks wise, drop dead gorgeous, but with a bland and somewhat off-putting personality with whom you practically have nothing on common, and a lack of connection. Becky, average lookimg, not ugly but very plain, but she's "your soulmate", you vibe like you've never vibed with anyone, your values, goals and hobbies align/compliment eachother, you make eachother better people. 1 and 2 have the same libido and sexual preferences. They're also …

/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 10:03 PM

Silver lining 🙌
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 05:50 PM

That terrible timing 😟
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 04:54 PM

Oh no 🥺
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 04:44 PM

Maybe it's the lighting, but they look greasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 04:43 PM

Hormones are so weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 04:41 PM

😳
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 04:04 PM

That man is the scandiest looking scandi.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:58 PM

Did you get hard?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:55 PM

Classic. I also like my coffee to taste like coffee.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:52 PM

Probably jazz. Hbu ?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:50 PM

Follow up: How do you take it?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:48 PM

Tea or coffee?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:42 PM

I wonder if you can play guitar with the tendons.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:41 PM

Do you even read, bro? 🤣 I'm stealing that.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:15 PM

Not a gore fan I take it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:13 PM

It's not a flower. It's a potted plant.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:10 PM

I talked to one guy who studied medicine in an Eastern European country. Can't recall which. Anyway, every student was given their own corpse to disect and learn from unsupervised. They kept them very cold so they could keep carving at then for weeks. Sounds kinda interesting, ngl.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:09 PM

I think that's a cute idea. Go for it!
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 03:06 PM

Girl who made this probably discovered classics recently. I'm pretty grateful for being forced to read them in school. Opened my world.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 07:12 PM

YES. I've seen them live, collaborating with my favourite Susanne Sundfør. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-s_6LjSmZqo
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 07:05 PM

You could be forced to read them in school. Kafka is so much fun though, even if you're forced to read him as a grumpy teenager.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 06:50 PM

Ah Portman! I was a little obsessed with her when I was younger.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 06:41 PM

Classic.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 06:33 PM

For most it's about them being hot. For me I don't want to sleep with them, but I find them very charming, intriguing and I like to hear them talk.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 06:33 PM

Oh Newton is cute!
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 06:31 PM

Yes I think so.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 06:30 PM

Nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 06:06 PM

Wow. Yes, she's hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:58 PM

Roman is almost old enough but he doesn't look it!
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:58 PM

Who's your middle-aged celebrity crush? Mine are Benedict Cumberbatch and Cate Blanchett (she's so great I made an exception to my no blondes rule)
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:52 PM

"Embarrassing" Genuinely funny coming from an American right now.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:47 PM

Temporary solution until things get sorted. As of right now I see no reason ti trust the US government more than the Chinese. Lesser of two evils
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:35 PM

There are talks of using the billions of Russian frozen assets. Maybe some Chinese loans too. I bet Trump will love that...
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:30 PM

I agree. I'm just trying to find some light and humour in this shitstorm.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:29 PM

At the end of the day, the ones left to suffer will be working men in women, Americans very much included. A few narcissists will continue to play with the lives of young men in their pointless proxy wars.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:17 PM

He never cared about the American people, unless they're his billionaire friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:14 PM

How does it feel to have a president that cares more about sucking the dicks of Musk and Putin than he does about the people he's supposed to represent?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:13 PM

It's kinda funny that Trump is making Europe great again by uniting us against him.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 05:04 PM

Not very comradery of you 😒
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 04:59 PM

Would you help to adjust our bra straps?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 04:53 PM

Nah. Just you.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 04:50 PM

I am so obsessed with Cabaret rn.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 03:15 PM

It would be great if everyone was. Way less effort spent vetting.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 03:11 PM

No.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 03:10 PM

Petty for sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 03:09 PM

All I can say is good luck.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 03:06 PM

That's fucked. You're the most wholesome person here.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 03:03 PM

So positive. Love to see it.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 02:59 PM

I have some Japanese friends. Tiny sample size ofc, but they told me that it isn't uncommon for married men to go with their colleagues to red light districts etc...

I have never been to Turkey so it is hard to say. If casual sex is normal there I guess it wouldn't be that hard to believe. I was a bit surprised about that one though, because I thought a significant chunk of the Turkish population was conservative. Then again there are conservative cultures where men cheating is pretty common (japan).
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 02:32 PM

Lots of places. Cozygames sub is one.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 02:28 PM

Why would you lie in an anonymous survey?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 02:20 PM

I just wear what I want. Sometimes I dress like a grandpa, sometimes I wear tiny skirts. Usually a combo of both. My boyfriend is happy either way and I would honestly get so annoyed if he tried to dictate how I dress. As for the jerking off thing, people do that??? Jerking off to random people?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 02:14 PM

I think one of the things I find myself missing is enthusiasm. Everything is so polite and surface level. But I refuse to believe that neurotypical people are shallow. I probably just haven't cracked the code yet. I used to not even be able to do the basic smalltalk shit, because I didn't know what I didn't know. So might just be a skill issue on my part.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 07:20 PM

100%
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 07:16 PM

I am happy to talk about TV too, if it's interesting. The subject is less of an issue than the lack of depth. I know nothing about geology for example, but one of my closest friends is a geologist and I love mostly listening to her enthuse about it, asking questions I never knew I had, linking it to entirely unrelated topics in stupid and fun ways etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 07:15 PM

I'm very happy to have a good back and forward banter on something serious. People don't do that much though. They talk about such mundane things like work being boring or even the weather. I'm all for diffusing the tension of a datk subject with humour, but so many people seem hesitant to even touch it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 07:13 PM

Yes 🤝
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 07:11 PM

All my most intimate friendships are with neurodivergent people. Why is it so hard to get close to neuroatypicals? Whenever I try to delve into deep topics with neuroatypical folks they get awkward, or I get awkward idk. But it rarely works. They seem to think it's too serious, be it personal, political or just going into a subject like literature, art or culture, they're constantly trying to make it more smalltalky. They also typically don't get/like my dark humour or teasing (but loving) bante…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:51 PM

Almost 28 ✌️
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:44 PM

He was amazing. I miss him, even though he'd mess up my room sometimes and then have my mum make me clean it 😡
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:43 PM

No. I read the book that the movie is based on. I should probably try it though! I watched the series, but it was cancelled ☹️

Living the dream.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:39 PM

Blasphemy.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:38 PM

I read the book and I feel you, yet somehow the childhood parts felt oddly nostalgic? 😰 It reminded me of my imaginary friend when I was little. He rode a flying bicycle too, which was v cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:38 PM

<image> Sexy hair.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:35 PM

Parmesan, because I use it in so much of my cooking.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:21 PM

What a wonderful way to go 🥰
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:19 PM

Ew.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:19 PM

Mayo is sad sauce.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:15 PM

Inflation will be inflating.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:13 PM

Too many tears!
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:12 PM

lol
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:11 PM

That works too. I miss Belgian chips 🥲 minus the mayo. I hate mayo.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:11 PM

That's literally an entire mozzarella cheese.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 06:09 PM

Potato wedges are much easier and I honestly prefer them.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 05:57 PM

Yes on women. Men should tan naked.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 05:43 PM

<image> Cheese.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 05:38 PM

Charcuterie is never wrong 🤌
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 04:28 PM

We're like fairies. We exist as long as people believe in us.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 04:28 PM

It's literally cheese for dinner.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 04:18 PM

None of those in our area. Though his work buffet is crazy, so he might still be stuffed from lunch 🤭
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 04:14 PM

European chickens are a little smaller. Are you sure that isn't a turkey?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 04:09 PM

We live together 👀
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 04:08 PM

love that shit
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 04:07 PM

He eats bread on the side 🤷‍♀️ What's wrong with cold?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 03:56 PM

Nah. He snacks like a pro 🤭 Heaps of Greek yogurt with walnuts and honey, cheesy omelettes, or an entire grilled chicken! He'll survive.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 03:44 PM

I have officially converted my boyfriend into a girl dinner lover. We had caprese yesterday and he wants caprese for dinner again today.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 03:38 PM

🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 03:24 PM

Is that so? That's pretty clever actually, for making people swipe more mindfully. Psrhaps it would be more effective if users were clearly informed about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 03:16 PM
1

Sure but you have to look at what the numbers represent. For an individual the difference between 6 and 10 isn't much to speak of. On the other hand, the difference between 0 and 1 is.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 03:12 PM

it's more even in Europe than in the US. Apparently Indian tinder is just a sausage fest.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 02:50 PM

They all blew it though. No dates for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 02:48 PM
1

I didn't expect it to be even of course, im just curious about the extent od the skew. 6 v 10 isn't that dramatic.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 02:47 PM

Grip strength is so difficult! It's my main hindrance when bouldering. Good luck with the physical therapy!
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 02:29 PM

Yeah. Body image gets so messed up during pregnancy too. Be supportive first and foremost.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 02:28 PM

He didn't need to say that, but it isn't unreasonable.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 02:22 PM
2

I know, but the distribution could be somewhat even. We don't know based on this.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 02:19 PM
2

You think that's what's going on?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 02:13 PM

And usually girls lose theirs younger. How old is the average Icelandic girl her first time??
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 01:46 PM

I could never do keto.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 01:36 PM

<image> Thoughts?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 01:33 PM

French and Dutch cheese >>> the older the better.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 12:54 PM

I've got those cartoon genetics.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 12:51 PM

Cheese should be pungent. Flavourless cheese is for children.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 12:50 PM

Fig jam and blue cheese.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 12:36 PM

Careful, or she'll break yours 😇
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 12:35 PM

<image> I've got a long road ahead 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 12:30 PM

<image> Bacon wrapped dates! Though I guess that's a dried fruit.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 12:18 PM

My wrists are so weak, I sometimes worry they'll snap. I need to wrist-max.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 12:14 PM

<image> Average norwegian police.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 12:02 PM

Define a lot. When you say player, that's a different conversation. It implies manipulative behaviour to obtain said sexual partners, in which case it's a no even if the number of partners is average.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 07:56 AM
1

I don't have sex until I feel safe, ready and somewhat attached anyway, but I wouldn't wait just to wait. The right person wouldn't leave you because you had sex on the 3rd date instead of the 5th, 10th, 20th etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 06:59 PM
5

I'd feel very proud of him but also concerned as hell. Makes me sad just to think of him getting beaten up. I'd nurse him back to health and make sure he has everything he wants.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 06:52 PM
20

It's not a deal breaker. It can be an indication of other issues, but that's not guaranteed, so it would entirely depend on the why. I am the first partner my boyfriend has lived with. He's also quite a bit older than me. His reasons made complete sense however, so that didn't put me off.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 01:55 PM

Or a stripper.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 12:42 AM

What about a woman who's just had sex with another woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 12:40 AM

Maybe because it's also kinda sour? I love that part, but I was snacking on grapefruit and lemons when the other toddlers were eating oranges.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 12:22 AM

Maybe. More likely it's because I am bloated. I think the yoghurt I ate was off 🙃
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 12:21 AM

True. It's mostly funny how different people are different can be a mind-blowing/controversial statement here.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 12:19 AM

Taken people are sexually repulsive to you? Based.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 12:09 AM

I feel you. I periodically delete various apps too. Take care!
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 12:07 AM

I have no idea, but I don't really care as long as we can acknowledge that attraction is complex and making blanket statements about everyone is silly.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 12:07 AM

There's a difference between thinking someone looks good and feeling attracted to them though. If I see an attractive person it evokes about as much arousal as a pretty landscape painting.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 11:57 PM

Bitter is a top tier flavour.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 11:55 PM

I hope you'll feel better soon. I support your decision to leave (even though you seem cool). You should do what's best for you, especially in the long run.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 11:54 PM

My comedic skills are mostly accidental and work best in person. Come here.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 11:52 PM

Party pooper.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 11:48 PM

I'm in a disagreeable mood today. It's kinda funny.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 11:44 PM

Nah. I don't feel "raw attraction" the way it's described here. With time however a person can become irresistible to me. Some say that makes me demi-sexual, but I think it's pretty common and hardly requires a label or explanation.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 11:40 PM

Yes, not salmon lol
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 05:27 PM

One of my favourite treats!
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 05:27 PM

<image> yummy snack.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 05:10 PM

5'8
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/25 05:04 PM

I might be stupid and get one of those flip smartphones next because they're narrow. I'll probably break it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/25 01:59 AM

I don't wanna be pregnant, period. (hehe)
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/25 01:40 AM

mini iPhone. 13 I think. It sucks. I only bought it because I have small hands 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/25 01:38 AM

You're wise for a 20y.o.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/25 01:28 AM

I just realised my phone screen is short.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/25 01:27 AM

My dad uses the same password for everything that I helped him make when I was in middle school. He's not trolling anyone. Whenever he likes a story I post on IG, he doesn't like it. He forwards it to me in DMs with no comment. Weirdly ominous. Maybe he's trolling me 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/25 01:18 AM

He's an old soul.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 10:58 AM

We also have trolls.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 10:53 AM

A minidress from the 60s. Kinda Twiggy style.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 10:52 AM

Housing marked is fucked, bro.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 10:42 AM

Norge 🇳🇴🤓
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 10:42 AM

He looks so sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 10:40 AM

One time I was wearing a vintage thrifted outfit and and an old man came up to me and said I looked like his late wife 🥺
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 10:39 AM

It's not as nice,.but I got used to it. Better than ads. If you have an android I think you can use smarttube or another adblocked version.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 09:45 AM

You might be thinking of Lithuania.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 09:44 AM

I have an adblocked version on my tv. I think it's called smarttube. And on my phone I watch YouTube on brave.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 09:41 AM

Wow she's angelic.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 09:22 AM

The expression pumped and dumped makes makes a lot more sense with reversed genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 09:12 AM

My nerdy friend is only dating Stacys. Nice. None of them are serious or want long term. Sad. Are Stacys Chad in Norway?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 08:59 AM

How strange. Well you're not behind and if it makes you feel better, divorce rates are high for people marrying before 25 😛
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 08:50 AM

I mean, yes, good/real friend is implied I think. Shitty friends are draining wether they're a he or she.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 08:45 AM

Your peers are already getting married? Are you from a very religious place?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 08:41 AM

It's really handy when you plan to move somewhere. During lockdown it was free for everyone. A friend of mine was still living in france, but she was planning to move to norway for work, so for fun she changed her location. She started talking to a norwegian guy and they're still together today. They bought and renovated a house together, got cats and are currently planning for the wedding and eventually kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 08:39 AM

<image>
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/25 08:32 AM

The way I was obsessed with him at 12 isn't even funny.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/25 02:40 PM

That entirely depends on the type of person you'd like to attract.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/25 02:31 PM

Indeed it's our collective responsibility to hold people accountable. That's a different conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/25 02:30 PM

Abusers don't see themselves as abusers.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 08:20 PM

I mean, yeah? Feeling desired in a relationship is important. I don't think that's controversial.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 12:21 AM

I always ptefer ambiguity.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 12:07 PM

Damn. That takes dedication. I only watch miniseries.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 12:07 PM

Is that the show that was canceled or the show with the good ending?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 12:03 PM

It's more that people need to be drunk to eat there 🙃 You'll get better fries at a Greek place.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 12:03 PM

Is this from a show? Probably 3 because of his hair. I love curls.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 12:01 PM

Basic city fast food place haha. Notice the lack of people. If you walk down the street to any of the local cafes or restaurants it's packed.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 11:54 AM

It looks so sketchy. And it's empty, because people aren't drunk yet. Also the food...
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 11:52 AM

Ew.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 11:40 AM

If I eat burger king and jump in a ball pit afterwards the burger will make a quick return.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 11:39 AM

You never know.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 11:27 AM

<image> Big no.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 11:23 AM

But then I'll accidentally jump on children :(
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 11:21 AM

I just passed a burger king. This is what they're like during the day. Taking someone there for a first date is madness. <image>
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 11:18 AM

That's fucked.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 11:16 AM

Right? I kmow they have high rates of crime but this is ridiculous. Are they arresting people for speeding, jaywalking or parking incorrectly? If so I'm a bad bitch. I jaywalk everyday 😎
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 10:23 AM

40-50%???
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 10:17 AM

I always wanted to be Laa-Laa because she has big ball.

Glasses are hot. Most people in relationships look average.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/25 04:57 PM

How times have changed.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 07:12 PM

Norwegian with a spelling mistake haha It should say slutt (the end)
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 07:11 PM

Maybe? I liked making little books with stories. This one is about a princess who's apparently a slut.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 07:11 PM

<image> I was a judgemental little shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 07:06 PM

Hahaha that's good girl bunny.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 07:05 PM

Omg I found a comic I made when I was in elementary school about a good girl bunny and bad boy bunny. It's such an intricate story too. <image> Here's teacher bunny feeling exasperated at bad boy bunny's illiteracy 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:52 PM

Wholesome. I like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/25 08:27 PM

I wish I could live in a commune minus the cult thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/25 07:59 PM

🤭
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/25 07:54 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 10:53 PM

Get well soon :(
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 10:49 PM

If the article is reporting on a study then the study might be open access and if it isn't there's always sci-hub 👀
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 10:48 PM

For me it's the difference between seeing that someone is attractive versus feeling attracted to them. I can acknowledge that a bunch of people are beautiful, the same way I can with a piece of art, but I don't feel attracted to them. I don't want to throw my arms around them and shower them with kisses like I do with my SO.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 10:31 PM

Isn't it incredibly dangerous and excruciatingly painful?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 08:38 PM

A volcano 😭
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 07:53 PM

Tbh my dating life got better as my standards increased 🙊
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 07:49 PM

I meant to write wouldn't 😭
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 07:47 PM

So, fruit oil?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 07:42 PM

Nah fuck that. I want him to make an informed choice, so he fully appreciates what he's getting.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 07:41 PM

*in Norway. I wouldn't feel very lucky if I was born in Afghanistan.

I guess the best way to learn is being exposed to good role models. Some things I find sexy: Passion(about almost anything), well tailored clothes, good posture, well groomed, nice cologne, smile, expressive face, comfortable eye contact, open bodylanguage, non-sexual touch, confidence (not cockyness), charisma, being good at uplifting others and making them look and feel good in a social setting, being helpful, cheeky humour, bantering, good listener, able to be open and vulnerable, curious and…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 01:52 PM

My brain is on battery saving mode today. I read "I strongly dislike D" and immediately thought: you could just say you're straight :(
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 06:01 PM

So you won't chill with her?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 05:54 PM

Yeah, but it's hard to see because of the colour. The base is a mix of crème fraîche and goat cream cheese, seasoned with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 05:54 PM

It's basically german/french pizza.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 05:50 PM

She has good taste in flowers too. Definitely wife material.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 05:48 PM

How do you treat gold diggers? With gold?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 05:47 PM

<image> Tarte Flambée ✨ Edit: Also known as Flamcouchen.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 05:43 PM

<image>
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 02:52 PM

<image> laaaazyyyy. And tarte flambée is almost as good.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 02:27 PM

I'm too lazy to make pizza tonight so I'm making tarte flambée.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 02:23 PM

Good point. We do love our stats.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 08:52 PM

Oh definitely. Those couples that find out after marriage that they have different ideas about having kids or how to raise them😬
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 08:50 PM

Yes. And I did talk about that stuff on first dates. It's a really good way to filter people not only for compatibility of values but also communication style.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 08:38 PM

Suddenly scandinavia isn't so happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 08:29 PM

Damn 😳
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 08:22 PM

My boyfriend didn't say anything. But he's parisian so I'm not sure it counts...
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 08:09 PM

<image> yum.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 08:00 PM

The sisterhood?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 07:22 PM

It's truly impressive.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 06:36 PM

My group of friends is like that. And their friends are like that, so when we all get together it's great fun.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 06:30 PM

White Lotus. The character is Shane.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 06:28 PM

<image> fuuuuuck this guy! Cudos to the actor. I haven't disliked a character this much in a while.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 06:25 PM

Hosting is so much fun though.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 06:22 PM

What the hell am I doing here?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 06:13 PM

In my experience the best parties are with people from a wide variety of countries working in an equally wide variety of fields. You get good conversation, good food, some actually know how to dance and the music is as varied as the people.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 06:12 PM

You're not wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:44 PM

I take it back. He looks like someone I know now. I don't like that someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:39 PM

Yes, but he'd be cuter if he was hairier. Bushier brows and some stubble.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:34 PM

Right. I have heard that sexual assault and harrasment is a problem in Japan. It's strange, because overall they have very low crime rates.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:32 PM

It's better in every way. Aubergine is a magical fruit. So mane great aubergine dishes.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:21 PM

That sounds fun!
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:19 PM

It's the best.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:17 PM

That's very considerate of you! Personally I've never personally craved a female only space, just a chill one. As long as people are positive and relaxed I'm happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:16 PM

It probably is. Then again, the Yen is weak atm.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:00 PM

But the decor ✨ I agree on the pasta. That was some sad looking pasta. The cakes looked good though.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 04:38 PM

A friend of mine went there. He said the food was bad because the food is not the point. He got rice with ketchup or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 04:37 PM

Honestly makes zero sense. Sweets are just good. It's beta to deny yourself good.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 04:35 PM

I'll have three cakes, please.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 04:31 PM

Who's side eying you? Fuck them. I don't wear glasses or contacts when I'm out and about so I can be blissfully ignorant that people can see me ✨ I cannot see you, you cannot see me. I am hidden.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 04:29 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 03:11 PM

Thank you for the thorough answer. He is not my cup of tea, but I understand the appeal. I appreciate the thought and time that you put into this.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 03:10 PM

Hahah I like your moustache philosophy. But it isn't strictly about moustaches, I just had a moustache induced epiphany that made me question certain looks based aspects of attraction in a broader sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 03:04 PM

I googled it and it looks great. Love the jars. I have never seen it here (norway) though.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 02:55 PM

Fair point. I tried it once, disliked it, and never gave it another chance.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 02:49 PM

Remind me to ask a moustache related question when the looks thread pops up.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 02:34 PM

To me it tasted oddly oily?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 02:31 PM

I feel like American bakers should just become crafters and artists instead. They make pretty things, but not appetising things. And it tastes exactly how you'd think it would.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 02:06 PM

Lwt me ask you this then, what do you like about his ideas? Which do you personally adopt?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 02:04 PM

Hot take: American cakes are superficial. They look cool but they taste bad and they're always too sweet.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 02:00 PM

Blasphemy! (Unless you're vegan. Vegan yogurt isn't nice)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 01:58 PM

He was hostile against a spesific movement that called themselves the Antisemites. His writing about Jews isn't borderline. It's beyond crossing it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 01:58 PM

Nothing beats fruit and yogurt. I eat it every day, usually twice.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 01:50 PM

Nietzsche was into eugenics and was a massive antisemite.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 01:47 PM

Well I don't have and don't want children, nor do I have big boobs. I wasn't made for men with mommy issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 01:45 PM

Maybe... Across an entire life for myself I guess anywhere between 3 and 10? Less than three would make me feel inexperienced and more than 10 means A LOT of heartbreak, since I don't do casual.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 01:17 PM

Idk. Never thought about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 01:13 PM

Alright. Good to hear.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 12:59 PM

Oh...
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 12:52 PM

Do you take baths?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 12:48 PM

Sure, and I'd support that, but I think he should probably learn some basic adult life skills first..
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 12:31 PM

Oh definitely. But I don't think it would be healthy for him to get into a relationship with someone that would just enable him. He needs to take charge of his life eventually.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 12:27 PM

Giving advice is easier than following it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 12:23 PM

Trust your gut is good general advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 12:20 PM

It's worth a shot!
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 12:19 PM

Very naive and sheltered rich boy. His father died when he was a teenager and he inherited an obscene amount of money. As a result he never worked a day in his life. He had half a medical degree and called himself a doctor none the less. Because of being sheltered, largely due to his money, he developed a close bond with his mother but basically no-one else. His mother dies when he's a young adult, which is tragic and I genuinely feel terrible for him. Fast forward, we met at a jazz concert, ini…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 12:18 PM

Mommy issues is a deal breaker. Been there done that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 12:04 PM

They probably will.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 11:55 AM

I don't think you can get it from kissing. But it's the smell/taste for me 😰
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 11:53 AM

I guess it's different when you smoke yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 11:45 AM

That's genuinely concerning... Do you have a therapist?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 11:45 AM

Is it fun at least?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 11:32 AM

I kissed a smoker once. Never again 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 11:31 AM

Ok cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 11:29 AM

Is celibacy an option?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 11:27 AM

Nice house.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 11:25 AM

Oh boy, sti rates are about to explode.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 11:23 AM

Do you want to mandate casual sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 11:20 AM

I personally see no problem with it. I think we're making a mistake when we compare people to toys. It isn't the same, and while toys might have some fun features it doesn't compare to the intimacy of being skin to skin with someone you love. I'm all for men exploring their sexuality, what they like and desire. I think it makes sex with a partner better too.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 10:59 AM

I'm not against it morally, I just personally don't get the appeal. Without a strong connection and trust (which for me takes time) sex isn't interesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 10:41 AM

Oh definitely. People do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 10:40 AM

48% of young norwegian men and 42% young norwegian women have had a one night stand. It is also a very common way for relationships to start among nordics. Another reason I haven't been interested in dating norwegians 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 09:46 AM

It's not about individual interest as much as it is about having the option. Not much of a toy person either, but I think it's cool that they exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 08:55 AM

It's strange how the tone is so different. Among women it's often framed as "self care".
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 08:45 AM

It's weird because I remember in middle school boys talked very openly about masturbation and girls didn't. Then at some point it flipped.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 08:40 AM

Among women it's not very taboo to use toys in my experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 08:38 AM

It's not fair. Ladies get good toys.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 08:37 AM

Sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 08:19 AM

<image> Peak translation, google. Anyway, are men's toys good now?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 08:04 AM

Ew :(
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 07:56 AM

No, that's dumb.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:55 PM

Do you always do whatever is the easiest?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 01:39 PM

"He's too nice" might be a gentle way to turn him down instead of saying what actually put her off. Disingenuous, but probably not ill intentioned.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 01:28 PM

Her neck is so long.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 01:23 PM
1

Sure, but my point still stands. It is cheaper and easier to come by here, so we eat plenty of it without a thought.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 07:21 PM

Banger.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 01:24 PM

Fair enough. I remember watching Alizé when I was a little kid. Then I saw it again as an adult knowing she was 16 at the time and jesus christ...
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 01:19 PM

I thought they were teenagers? And it doesn't feel like it's meant to be sexy to me. Just silly fun?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 01:16 PM

But it's cute.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 01:09 PM

Damn. Korean stage production is something else.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 01:02 PM

That's perfect. I remember seeing an interview with them, where the journalist was trying so hard to find a deeper meaning in the lyrics, and one of them said "No, it's just about being frustrated that you can't eat as much chocolate as you want without getting fat"
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 12:53 PM

What's a favourite live performance? Here's a super nordic one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpiFmZLICgM

/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 12:39 PM

Ahh I see it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 12:28 PM

Team Edward or Team Jacob?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 12:26 PM

Apologies.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 12:14 PM

Why do I feel like his veins are about to pop and make a huge mess?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 12:06 PM

Hahahah 😂 Well, there's nothing wrong with a little bit of fun.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 12:03 PM

Yeah there's zero chance I'd be able to keep a professional face on for that 🥲 French music is actually one of my main motivators for me to continue learning the language. Because French people are so stubbornly French, they've developed a very rich and unique culture in music that I've really grown to appreciate.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 12:02 PM

Glad you liked it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 11:46 AM

Damn... Well I failed. It reminds me of this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txI7pyrmb2c It is in French, but Brel is singing about his best friend who died, recounting their shenanigans, finishing every verse in denial "You're still singing" "You're still hoping" "You're not dead", over and over again until he finally finishes with "I love you still"
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 11:45 AM

No. This https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-uRyOu4YV4 Try not to cry.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 11:23 AM

Indeed, but since Freud is a founder of psychology as a field, his claims have been studied to death and for the most part been debunked. He is seen more as a pioneer of talking about the mind and it's development, and he is respected for that, but his theories are hardly in use anymore after being tried and tested vigorously.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 11:18 AM

Victorian and modern psychology is hardly comparable. Nowadays you need to do double-blind studies repeatedly in different institutions with different demographics and so on before anything is even taken a little bit seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 11:11 AM

wiiii✨
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 11:01 AM

You're an angel 🙏
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 11:00 AM

nooo
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 11:00 AM

There are modern scientific theories about sex though. Freud basically went: I think it works like this so it must be true
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:59 AM

Not to open a restaurant, because often times the owner doesn't work in the kitchen. I thought to work as a chef you had to though, but I might very well be wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:58 AM

But basically Freud is what they teach you in first year psychology to show you what happens when people do psychology without using the scientific method. More funny victorian stuff: Did you know that the vibrator was invented because doctors used to treat "hysteria" in women by rubbing them to orgasm, but their hands got tired so the vibrator came to be
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:56 AM

The pink inside her eyes is making me uncomfortable.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:52 AM

I think I could do it if I got to listen to audiobooks and music all day.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:50 AM

Oh boy I wish you the best of luck. His mommy issues are quite funny though. Sigmund, just because you're desperate to screw your mum doesn't mean we all are
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:49 AM

<image>
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:45 AM

Fair enough. I know a guy who went to culinary school. Learned all sorts of things Then his first job was in an almost industrial kitchen and he was given the most basic and monotonous tasks imaginable, nearly driving him nuts. Still, when he later got a job at a fancy restaurant it wasn't even that much better.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:38 AM

How Freudian of you.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:36 AM

You're very well behaved.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:34 AM

(lol my reply got deleted because I attached an image to show what I'm talking about. The illustrated "people" looked like colourful gential-less barbies, but too sexy for this sub apparently) Anyway, Torch should be called Reverse Backpack imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:31 AM

Brb, getting an English degree.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:28 AM

Don't tease us like that 🥺
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:18 AM

Don't you have to go to culinary school to work as a chef?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:17 AM

How fun if this was a paid gig. I can think of silly names.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:14 AM

Also to anyone doing the pisces/ standing 69, hats off to you 🫡
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:13 AM

Who comes up with the names of sex positions? The bow? Spiderman???
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 10:10 AM

There's a difference between being able to cook and being good at cooking. The bar for the former is low. Basically with or without a recipie you're able to put together a variety of balanced meals.

If you don't have a car or access to decent public transportation then not having a good shop within reasonable walking distance (considering you have to carry the groceries back) is a problem. Also fruits in the US are more expensive and less flavourful. When I buy fruit it's not me being good. It's because the fruit is fucking good and cheap and I really want to eat it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 09:04 AM

Whale went 👁️👅👁️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 08:50 AM

Americans are set up to fail, so it doesn't make sense to be surprised when they do. As a European, and spesifically a norwegian, I have a lot of advantages over the average American. 1. I live in a walkable and bikeable city. 2. We learn basic nutrition, about whole foods, that highly processed food should be a rare exception, about how the body responds to various types of food such as simple versus complex carbohydrates etc. 3. We cook at home It saves money and we avoid accidentally eating m…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 08:26 AM

People sometimes pop into your life when you least expect it. It could be soon or in a long time, but personally I think it's worth the wait. I wish you the best of luck!
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 05:48 PM

I think it'll happen less and less. A friend of mine just broke up with a guy because the sex was bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 05:36 PM

Hey. I know this is painful, physically excruciating. I remember it felt like someone had taken a massive dull ice-cream scoop and grotesquely carved out my chest. It will hurt for a while too. When they say it gets better they're right, but it fails to acknowledge how fucking hard it is and how long it feels. My advice is to not hold it back. Let yourself cry and process, reach out to someone. Eventually you will feel better, but until then, give yourself patience and don't think that you have …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 05:29 PM

I don't think you're right. To be blunt, and excuse me for the potential TMI, but I've never had better sex in more unstable and uncertain relationships than I do now, feeling secure with someone. I never knew it could be this good and I've never been this sexually active before either. Safe does not equal boring. As for those hypothetical guys, the second guy doesn't sound like he wants me spesifically. It sounds like he lacks options and just want a girlfriend, any girlfriend. Meanwhile my par…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 05:14 PM

I actually think men are in far less of a risk of being settled for today, than they were a couple of generations ago, when women were more dependent on them. When women don't need men, they're less likely to settle for one. Of course nobody wants to be settled for. I don't either. So I chose someone that wasn't desperate for a girlfriend. Someone who was happy with his life before he met me, where I certainly added something to his life, but I wasn't some sort of saviour from his meaninglessnes…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 04:32 PM

It might just be a problem of definitions? I certainly think raw attraction or chemistry is a thing. I do not however think it is just about looks, as some have a tendency to imply. That doesn't mean that I don't think looks matter, but rather that it's a piece of a more complex puzzle. Then we can argue about the size of that puzzle piece, but I think it varies a lot from one person to the next.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 04:26 PM

Of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 04:18 PM

I mean, it can be nice, but if you exclusively go for that it feels borderline fetishy ? 🙊 Matters little in the end anyway. I've dated my height and much taller. The height was never why it didn't work. Usually it was boring logistical things like location and life goals.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:56 PM

Teachers let you use those? I wasn't allowed until Uni 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:52 PM

To join what?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:46 PM

I had limerence once (though not from a hookup). It sucked. But it only lasted for three months and then when I stopped caring he started chasing. People be weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:45 PM

Did he cork screw someone? 👀 Edit: Nvm. That's a girl.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:43 PM

I am a neutral party asked to choose between China and America. I chose both because I'm fucked either way. Sold my soul to instagram and rednote 😎
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:42 PM

I want to be a little fat bird.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:40 PM

I'm trying to accommodate the Americans 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:39 PM

Oh wow... I assume these are US stats? I wonder if height matters more in dating over there. Here I typically hear "as long as he's taller than me" as a commonly stated height preference.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:32 PM

Being European I know that China and the US couldn't give a shit about my privacy, so it's been a lost cause forever 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:21 PM

It can go up to 85 on a good day, but yes, pretty much. The main difference is the length of the day. The sun simply doesn't fuck off, so you end up staying outside enjoying the forever sunset with friends for hours hours.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:20 PM

That's like three centimeters difference? 😭 It's funny how the threshold is arbitrary based on the measuring system. In the US it's 6ft and in Europe it's 180cm. Ironically shorter, though there's a big difference between the average greek and dutch.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:14 PM

A hit of both. A lack of sunlight makes me tired but also the cold makes it easy to stay inside where it's warm and cozy, while in the summer I pop on some shoes and run outside without a second thought.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:09 PM

3 in the winter, 8 in the summer.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:04 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 03:43 PM

I forgot their names, but I like the brunette one better.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 03:40 PM

Bliss.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 03:39 PM

Ooh she's pretty
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 03:12 PM

The ceramic ones are cheaper, prettier and less wasteful.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 03:10 PM

I don't. It's not your fault that anime looks the way it does.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 03:06 PM

Coincidentally 9 is the age when I started receiving sexual attention from grown ass men 🙃 I remember my mum explaining to me what a pedo is.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 03:02 PM

Just telling you what I see 👀
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 02:59 PM

Tbh this reminds me of myself when I was a wedding guest at 9 years old...
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 02:56 PM

so edgy
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 02:43 PM

Idk the laws where you're at, but that's illegal here.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 02:18 PM

Girl, same.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 02:09 PM

Commando club ✌️
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 02:06 PM

Yes. I will treat myself with overpriced passion fruits.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 02:03 PM

Fuuuck I'm sore. Feels good though.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 01:58 PM

I guess you're right. Still, I want to make sure that I stay fit so that I'll be like my dad when I'm old. He is fitter than most 20 year olds in his 60s.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 01:51 PM

I have some super fit friends. One of my girlfriends is doing those iron man things. She's shorter than me and she can squat me.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 01:33 PM

That's good to hear because after 10 I'm on my chest lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 01:27 PM

Makes sense. I am weak.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 01:22 PM

<image> why do these little shits make pushups harder 🥲
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 01:20 PM

Hahah well I'm not touching anyone 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 01:11 PM

Really? But they're already skin-tight and washed after every use anyway 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 01:05 PM

Do people wear underwear under their workout tights?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 12:52 PM

I've seen it done. You can have challenging times without becoming unhealthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 12:50 PM

Maybe ask him about it? Maybe he's thought about it and changed his mind. Maybe he could explain why he looked though your phone too.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 12:47 PM

No. I don't want kids. And I am not going to stay in a dysfunctional relationship for the sake of it. That brings more harm than good.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 12:44 PM

(I replied thinking we were on the previous thread)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 12:42 PM

That's a little concerning tbh.. I probably know my SOs pin, because I assume it's the same as on an iPad that he let's me use, but I've never even thought to look through his phone, because I trust him.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 12:39 PM

Nah. I've never been suspicious or jealous in a relationship before, so if that were to happen I'd be better off with someone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 12:36 PM

Precisely. Young men shouldn't be reduced to canon fodder for rich people's bickering.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 12:33 PM

I don't like the lack of trust. It isn't even just about my privacy, but the privacy of my friends and family. I respect what I'm told in confidence. You're allowed to have some things to yourself whilst in a relationship. My SO doesn't get to read my journal for example, nor does he want to. On the flipside, if I didn't trust my partner and felt the need to look through his phone, I would simply break up. If you lack trust you have nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 12:30 PM

Ooh pretty! I like the choker.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 09:45 PM

Shit happens. I like the beard.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 09:44 PM

V cute !
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 09:43 PM

Your shirt is too small, sir.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 09:38 PM

It looks like the cool and quirky side character in an anime.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 09:25 PM

Cheeky. I like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 09:23 PM

Did you know that there are more than enough empty houses to house every homeless person?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 09:17 PM

Some do because they're passionate about their subject. Others because they love children, but lack the tools to do a good job in the current system.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 09:17 PM

I'm not flirting with you, but this is my type.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 09:16 PM

Do you think the current housing prices are fair?

Parents freak out if you correct their children.

Yeah. People say I eat a lot, but it's mostly large portions of vegetables. And berries. I eat an obscene number of berries.

No need. But challenge accepted.

That's what matters most. Your spirit is cute!
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 08:54 PM

Absolutely. Money is a man madd concept. We've built a system that encourages hoarding it ie hoarding resources, which is inherently unethical.

I believe all human beings deserve to have their basic needs covered. That isn't a radical thing to say in most of the "developed world"

Only temporarily until we can get the house prices down to a reasonable leave here anyone working can afford one in the city/town that they live in. The state should represent the people, so these temporary rental properties would be indirectly owned by the citizens of a country.

Piccrew is fun. I found a pretty versatile one for boys and gurls. Make yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 08:30 PM

Ahh fair. Indeed. Housing is a basic need and shouldn't be subject to speculation.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 08:28 PM

Nope. The state can organise affordable rentable properties, affordable enough to save for a mortgage.
