Questions for you then. Why was a person that doesn't produce insulin said to have had "wasting disease"? This violates the CICO theory. Now what is the difference low insulin based on if it's disease or caused by diet? Both have a result of allowing more CI than CO. (and you admit it is possible to control insulin release through diet in a previous comment above) Additionally , as an example, fructose is metabolized entirely different from the other sugars, it's naive to believe that these proc…

Didn't you just say WHAT you are didn't matter? Now you are suggesting complex carbs over refined? Which is it?

So just say the "the odds of an other child having x is 1 in 1000". If the guy / parent figure it out r not is on them. No fraudulent reporting involved.

You can't exercise your way out of a bad diet.

Duh, carb fuel performance. If a person's goal don't require high level intense performance then their need for carbs are much less. You can't compare your need to fuel 2 hour BJJ session with a person trying to fix metabolic issues. Challenging people to "roll with you" as some sort of proof speaks on how little you know on this topic.

Didn't watch it, he is a great start and still read his blogs, I refer a lot of people interested in weight loss (or people who think it's just a willpower issue) but I have moved into a much more paleo approach. I've lost a bunch of weight since I cut out gluten and reduced the admit of other grains I eat.

Nice to see you didn't read the link. Ever hear of epigenetics? The role of insulin and how current conventional dietary advice is backwards and basically makes people fatter. But yes with proper diet and barely any willpower a person can lose weight.. But it's more using intelligent\proper eating than just the retarded and outdated "calories in calories out" and seeing fatness as JUST a moral failing.

Just claiming to be a hard gainer as is bitching and moaning about genetics, that's the reason people use the term. But that is neither here nor there. There is a HUGE chemical-biological component involved in weight loss. Yes some minor amount of weight loss is about willpower. However "shaming" based on some assumption that it's pure willpower without being educated about the chemistry involved is just ignorance. No, not because some is driving a Ferrari. I would say the same about a person who was born rich talking about how easy it is to become rich. You are a confessed hardgainer..meaning it's genetically hard for you to gain weight... Then you claim being overweight is NOT genetic. See the issue there or are you too busy feeling morally superior to overweight people to spot your own hypocrisy?

Countered with: http://www.fathead-movie.com/index.php/2014/02/24/character-vs-chemistry-part-five/ It's not really a question willpower.
