https://ec.europa.eu/social/main.jsp?catId=1111&langId=en&intPageId=4547 It looks like single parents receive benefits, regardless of gender. All parents also receive benefits, whether or not they are single parents.

Why do you blame single mothers more than deadbeat dads? Surely if 85% of single parents are women, that means that 85% of the parents who leave their children are men.

It takes two to bring a child into the world. Single parents (of either gender) often struggle financially because they don't have that second income. We, as a society, have decided that it is best to provide support for these parents so that they are better equipped to raise these children. Why do you resent single parents so much more than the deadbeats? Surely someone who brings a child into the world and does nothing to support/take care of it is less moral than someone who brings a child in…
