2	How does a man wanting to split the bill have anything to do with respect for women? Never paying for anything is wrong, it’s good manners to take people out after they’ve done the same for you. Not texting or calling first is just shallow, if she wasn’t that interested I would understand, but otherwise both should put in the effort to make the relationship work. When a gentleman wants to take out a girl he likes on a date he shows how he’s taking care of himself and it gives her a peek of what a future with him would be like. Him paying on the first date shows that he’s willing to take care of her(which most women notice) and can provide for a family. Of course if he doesn’t want to, they could just split the bill.
