I feel like everyone in both threads is forgetting major points in the post. "I had always had a thing for [him]" coming from a 16 year old girl goes a long way in making it not weird. The virgin thing kinda sets it back but there are plenty of 16 year old girl virgins who don't want to be virgins. On the other hand, "so I obliged every time [he] instigated which was a lot" makes the adult creepy as fuck no matter what sex they are.

There's a difference between helping someone out with an uncommon event they might not be able to deal with themselves, and helping someone out with a common event they almost certainly can (and do) take care of. There's also a difference between helping out a neighbor you've spoken to before, and making sort of a strange offer of assistance to someone you've never met.

Things that don't seem to be well understood in this thread: It's not trolling if you do it in your own online space. Gawker actually mentioned r/MensRights in a third of a sentence, not a full article, and called it a "popular" subreddit that "sets the tone" for the rest of the site. While I am aware that the rights of men to choose parenthood (or not) are very constricted after insemination, so too are the rights of women. Pretending that this is untrue, or that buying into obsolete social protocols like paying for a woman's dinner is anything other than your choice, cheapens your legitimate complaints.
