I worked in Florida for a bit. Everything is poisonous and everyone has a gun.

Yeah. Wisconsin here. I move out of the way for women, they move out of the way for me. We both say "ope, sorry 'scuse me" and go on with the day. I wonder where op is from.

This scares the hell out of me right now. Wife left after 17 years together (10 married). Had a date 2 days after moving out before we even started divorce. Hardly seems to matter if she was cheating or not anymore (yeah I got tested). Now I'm seeing a wonderful woman who I can see a future with. Problem is, she's in her 20's. I could easily see a repeat happening again. But hell, I spent 7 years dating to make SURE it would be a good marriage. That sure didn't work. So I'm torn between wanting …

Well... My bpd pushed for a separation. She was dating within 2 days of leaving the house. We're divorced now. "separation" to a bdp is often code for "its over." I would push for therapy and every other available to you first. Good luck.

Oddly enough my drive was at its lowest point with my ex and got better after she left. It seems constant criticism wasn't a turn on for me. Go figure. I used Tinder and Bumble mostly. Thing to remember, is women get to pick and choose in those scenarios and tend to swipe right on about %10 of pics. Men have to swipe right a LOT more to even have a chance at matching. So if you go that way, remember it's a numbers game, and also, be willing to but in the miles. Again, many women have their radiu…

Well, first I burned through friends who had apparently been eyeing me up while I was married. It might be a regional thing, but Tinder worked out really well for me. I was also not looking for casual hookups (but I did find some). Most of the women I found were looking for a relationship. In order of successful dates: Tinder, Bumble, OkCupid. In order of times I was ghosted or stood up.... same order. Also, coming from a smaller town, I had to be willing to drive. There's a metro area about 1.5…

Well... I found out my ex was dating someone 3 days after our separation and the divorce wasn't even started yet, so I.... went a little wild. I would have sex with anyone willing. And being in my late 30's, the divorced single moms were everywhere. It was maybe a month in when I started having sex (again, after she left, before the divorce) and I did it out of spite for her. That was a huge mistake. I hurt some people who got feels when I wasn't ready yet. I was not stable or sturdy in any way.…

Hey man, it was the same for me. Luckily she got fed up and left me. Wish I would have seen the signs and left her years before. Heck, she started showing emotional instability while we were dating. Good on you for seeing the signs.

No advice, but it sure feels good to stand up for yourself. Well done.

Fear of loneliness kept me in far too long. In fact, until she got so lonely she left. Now I am alone... and lonely, but it's so much better this way. I don't know your situation, but my ex and I were tearing each other apart. We couldn't keep going like that forever.

What helped me... realizing how many times I doubled down. How many times I recommitted... and how little things changed. Then asking myself "Can I live the rest of my life like this?" Loneliness is a very powerful deterrent.

Thanks for the reminder as to why I got out. Still stings, but at least my depression and anxiety are lifting.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
