I am glad you are sharing your success in getting out of this mindset. I don't consider myself any sort of pill but have thought that therapy can be useful. If someone seeking therapy is having trouble connecting to or affording therapy, keeping a journal to at least getting your thoughts out could help in the meantime. Use it to look at your views, why you have them and try to consider how to challenge them. Another good spot to look at for anyone who considers themselves an incel, r/IncelExit …

A person, regardless of their sex/gender identity should ultimately take ownership of their actions.

I honestly think validation and pleasure are two possible reasons to pursue sex but I really don't think validation is the main reason someone is to pursue sex, or at least the only main reason. Some folks do derive pleasure through kinks or fetishes that cannot be obtained by just masturbating. Sure, there could be some validation in exploring a kink or a fetish. However, once that validation is satisfied, a lot of folks may continue because of a connection they have forged or able to exercise …

Pleasure can still be had while having sex with others. One thing that undermines the pleasure of having sex with others is often having too high of expectations or putting too much pressure on one's self to perform.

Instead of moving to another country, what about moving to another part of the country they live in?

Even being in the US, I am sure it depends on what part of the country you are from. Some areas, I am sure it's frowned upon but still occasionally happens where other places, it's a little more tolerated. As far as work is concerned, my example was I guess an exception rather than the rule. I try to be friendly but professional with coworkers but wouldn't look at coworkers, even if I was single.

I think having sisters does help, at least somewhat. I have 2 older sisters and I think it has helped some in terms of talking to women, even if it is just in a general sense.. As far as finding women attractive vs remembering that they are humans like everyone else, it is still tricky at times but possible. Part of what has helped me is what context are you interacting in with them? And are you able to develop some means to acknowledge they are attractive but still a person, with some means of …

Would the idea of some redpillers having misogynistic views but then not understand why they can't get laid count? Edit: added a word

Whataboutism is an attempt to distract or derail an argument with another issue by making the other issue sound worse. Even if the other issue is worse, it doesn't answer or resolve the first issue.

Average guys are often having sex. And if a guy isn't having sex, they should see about trying different things or moving to different areas of the country to explore other options. Not working because a bunch of guys aren't getting laid will ultimately backfire somehow.

I haven't heard this guy talk but sounds like he is bitter that he can't get a doormat of a woman or have that kind of money. Also sounds like a guy who can't even dare to work on themselves but puts all the blame on others. Edit: word

I honestly think a lot of women would explore kinks if they are with someone they feel very comfortable with while others are more upfront with any kinks they have. I also wonder how much of it is behavioral conditioning for women against exploring their sexuality.

I agree no wants to deal with death threats or name calling. I think some of the more satisfying posts are when some of these guys are doing such action and don't hide their identity, which in turn get humiliated by having parents find out. In lieu of a prominent figure/youtuber, any post of a former incel that speaks up is almost necessary in a sense. These guys were there. They know what it's like and can show others it's at least possible to change.

That is the unfortunate reality. If someone is able to tough it out,, I still think it is worth sharing though. People give others shit when their views are challenged.

One thing you could look into in regards to meeting women is seeing if there are volunteer opportunities in your area. Granted, these opportunities might be limited or require to wear a mask/prove you have been vaccinated, depending on where you live. The reason I suggest this is that I am sure a few places could still use the help and depending on your trade, would love to have help from someone with hands on skills. Volunteering could allow you to meet women in terms of other volunteers. At th…

I think guys who have walked away from this mindset, in the black community and elsewhere, certainly should speak out more against being an incel or following the redpill. Hopefully more incels and guys who believe in the redpill bs see this and consider getting out.

Dating a woman who cares about you/your needs and supports you following your goals is a sign of a healthy relationship. That, I can get behind. Looking for a woman that 'worships you' I disagree with because it is unrealistic. How are you going to get a woman to worship you outside of starting a cult? And if you have to guess where things stand or what she is up to, those are signs that there are serious issues with communication and/or trust. Looking for a woman to worship you is also a sign t…

Dating, whether online or irl, is dangerous either way. With that said, online dating can be useful for 2 scenarios. You are new to an area and not sure just yet were to look for dates. Sure, someone could find ways to meet people irl but it's not always too easy. Some people don't have luck with meeting someone irl for any number of reasons. Some do. Personally, I've had some luck meeting people irl and online. Edit word

SMV? Also, if you don't know anyone who has benefitted from this advice, how do you know some of the advice isn't bs? And also, have you tried it?

I am sure this has been mentioned but one major difference is that you are no longer in school. In school, whether in college, hs or even grad school, dating seems to be easier since you may have more opportunities outside a professional setting to meet women. You don't have classes, school organizations, school based sports teams or other related events that come with different levels of your academic life. I imagine that you meet a lot of folks working as a dr but it's in a professional settin…

What kinds of advice exactly does the redpill offer? Have you tried it? If you haven't, know anyone who honestly have and been honest with the results?

I would guess cold approaching a woman on the street is not going to work more often than working. It could work under the right circumstances but not likely. However, meeting women in certain contexts, such as in a cafe and asking what book they are reading, would have a slightly better chance imo. Showing interest in something other than the possibility of sex and allowing them to get to know you a little better could work a lot better. Besides, dating apps can be depressing if you are not usi…

You could find a polite alternative, such as tea or a casual lunch at a good but inexpensive casual lunch place. Alternatively, you could offer to get a drink and then if the night goes well, you could get a bite to eat. She is being upfront with her preferences but understand if there is red flags.

It is possible she dated a few losers. It is also possible there is a theme or she made a few mistakes of her own. Anything in the past should be taken with a grain of salt.

I think these are exceptions but not necessarily the rule. Sure, some women may explore casual dating until they find someone to settle down with or explore open relationships, but that isn't every woman out there from my understanding.

You have to remember both men and women can be shitty human beings. It's a matter of how you can be more ethical in your interactions. This person isn't encouraging that.

Some women like tall guys. Some women like taller than they are guys. Some women probably don't care about height.

I also agree with taking a break from dating videos. Are there hobbies or other interests you could explore? Worst case, you could find music you like if you find yourself habitually opening Youtube (as lame as that might sound).

The only time I dated/slept with a woman who had a kid and while I was in my 30's, the kid was already in college and had that paid for. The woman was a fwb that was looking for a good time and was willing to occasionally pay for shit. This included paying for a hotel room and a 1 day pass for NYC's Comic con. As far as dating when I was in my 30's, I like to think I have learned a few things, including being done with certain toxic relationships.

Was trying to say that when some folks read a static, they think it is the same as probability. In other words, if something happened 50% of the time, there is a 50% chance of happening, which by technical definition, isn't the case. Something may have happened in the past at least 50% of the time but that is not guaranteed to happen 50% of the time in the future.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 02:02 AM

Add to this, some folks do not understand that a statistic is not guaranteed probability, let alone how flawed a statistic might be. Furthermore, some accept that a higher percentage might as well be 100% if it feeds heavily into a preconceived notion without trying to test irl if whatever statistic actually applies to them.

Having preconceived notions of what works/doesn't work on top of preconceived notions of what the outcome will be prior to even asking anyone complicates a lot as well.

When you find yourself going through your loop, ask yourself what feels right to you? Ask yourself what flaws are hiding in your parents logic? As you are working through things, remind yourself that you are ultimately free to explore things, especially if you are no longer living with your parents.

This article I think shows co-relation but not necessarily causation. In other words, without asking about what the 'sexless' men are doing or not doing to get sex, it just shows who isn't getting laid. Additionally, the article even points out it doesn't confirm why some men aren't getting sex, just points out who about 4 or so paragraphs in. To further illustrate my point, the survey shows both men getting laid and men not getting laid in each group without explaining why.

Firstly, it sounds like you have done a lot to improve yourself and should keep going, even if it is to simply better yourself. Nothing wrong with trying to take care of you. I say don't shoot for perfect, shoot for better. For the loose skin, next time you get a physical or talk with your dr, if it is something that will go away on its own. Are you looking to go to college? If so, there could be more opportunities to meet women, even in ways not so obvious at college and even after.. For instan…

Tell yourself you are worth it, for one. Why? Because you are. If there is anyone in one of your classes you maybe interested in, you could always start conversations regarding class work, probably one of the easier ways to strike such things up. If they seem nice, you could ask about getting coffee or studying together. Just a thought.....
