All expectations are not equal and depending on your ethics some can be justified and some cannot. To many, there is a difference between expectations because of the type of partner you need and expectations because of someone's gender. Any woman should be held to that same standard. If you didn't want a partner who dressed for attention because you don't like extra attention on you, that's more justifiable.

"Maybe as her partner you feel like you should be the only one that sees" The judgement comes from this sentiment. Because the idea that a relationship connotes a kind of exclusive control over seeing a woman's body is being challenged. One of the core tenants of a property right is the right to exclude and so it's hard to not see this as the continuation of the idea that a man owns his partner. It's different from exclusion from sex because that's a mutual agreement by both partners to only exc…

You are allowed to have preference and people are allowed to judge you for your preferences. If you choose not to date women who don't dress a certain way you are also judging someone else's choices. We all have a right to make choices but that doesn't mean there won't be consequences (socially not legally).

Agreed it's not okay to make demands and agree you always have a right (as in it should never be illegal) to date who you feel comfortable dating. However I and others have the right to judge you for what you are comfortable with, just as you have the right to judge women who dress a certain way (good or bad). If you can choose to not sssociste with women who don't dress modestly I will gladly choose not to associate with men (and I am a man) who have value judgements about what a woman wears. N…

Yeah the latter is worse but they are both rapes and if you don't like the word rape they are both still non consensual sex that should be punished strictly and severely by the law with the former absolutely being worthy of jail. And that should be the same regardless of the genders of the individuals in question. I have no problem as a man with that being the expectation.

Maybe not in each individual case but my perception is on average it evens out. Meaning for every relationship that ends because the man isn't up to par there is one where the woman isn't either. But probably a ton where its both of them.

Quality isn't income. I've made over $100K my entire career and I wouldn't have recommended half of my coworkers as partners (men and women). Most people regardless of income lack the emotional maturity to conduct a marriage and the divorce rates show that. So I mean low quality as in low quality emotional intelligence and self awareness.

Sure but you could read that statistic as meaning the people who get are left by their partners are lower quality and so they were always more likely to get divorced. They'll make a larger portion of the second marriage pool which means they are more likely to get left again because they are shitty partners. Think of it like bankruptcy. You are more likely to go bankrupt if it has already happened to you once because you have a history of not being good with money.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
