I could write a whole post on how exploited my mom has been by her marriage... My parents are the perfect exemple of a boomer couple that on paper stayed married until the end but in reality was a nightmare for the woman.

We really need to have a stickied post about men's lack of empathy bc i swear we could all give so many anecdotes. This is such a deeply gender-divided issue

My mom died of cancer. In her final weeks he didn't even visit her. Before she went into coma (she then never regained consciousness) she asked if he would come. He didn't. Only when it was too late.

I wouldn't say it's only for sex. I'd say sex, housekeeper, cook, mom for the kids bc muh bloodline, emotional support...but also the social status of being a married man/in a relationship.

They are so dishonest. I'm not against paying for my part, but either a) you don't mention any costs to her and it's then assumed that you pay for both since you invited her or b) you want to split the bill in which case both partners have to discuss about it before the trip and agree on the budget, who pays what etc. You don't get to make her believe you're paying and then asking for the money.

Who cares. They'll always find stuff to screenshot and willingly misinterpret if they want to. Just don't give them attention...

Someone needs to tell men that movies sex scenes are not realistic lol. It may look hot in the movie but IRL it sounds incredibly awkward.

....That's a long way of saying "i need to take out my nerves on someone and feel 2edgy4you today". Didn't expect that in this sub but oh well. Goodnight.

No need to be so agressive 🤦🏻‍♀️....i never said this wasn't how society sees women, i'm not blind thank you very much, i mean the truth is that our actual value does not reside in our appearance.

want to look like a hot cougar, i don't want to pretend i'm 29 forever" as a look, which is a great way to rebuff claims you had work done ("do you think i'd still have all these crow's feet if I had work done?" This is sth i've suspected for quite some time, glad to see i'm not the only one! Not about her in particular but other old celebrities who have zero neck skin sagging even though they're above 70. I feel like most people are still in denial that all those celebrities "aging gracefully t…

Not a fan of this kind of post bc first off she's a celebrity and obviously has had work done (bc it's not an option if she wants to still have a career as an older woman), she's not representative of the average woman. And secondly, women's worth is not defined by whether they "age well" or not.

virginal-but-sexy archetype: Here is a girl who can perform sex for an audience’s benefit, but who, thank God, has not yet been tainted by experience. Reminds me of VS angel Adriana Lima who claimed she was still a virgin despite being a super famous sex symbol and lingerie model, back in the 2000s. I hadn't realized how prevalent this archetype was.

Kind of men that see sex as sth performed ON a woman, not WITH her. He's the subject, she's the object.

A minute of silence for those wives on tiktok that complain in a "funny way" about their husbands spending way too much time on the toilet. Do they naively think he's only browsing social media on his phone?

It's almost like the lifelong male socialization doesn't magically disappear when they transition. Who would have thought.

Also my bras are stupidly expensive i don't want a guy damaging it in the heat of the moment, "i'm gonna tear your clothes off of you" style.

Google "the myth of the male bumbler". There's another term for it but i don't remember it exactly. Strategic incapacity??

Natalie Portman said she received creepy and sexual letters too after her role in Leon, the Professional. She was like 10 or 12.

Yep. I've had literal strangers insulting me or telling me i'm ugly while i was just living my life, minding my business in a party or a public space. Always men. Feeling the need to tell me that their peepees disapproved of my appearance.

Wow it's something i've always known but i've never seen a man flat out admit it. How did he formulate it?

Reminds me of a post on the MGTOW sub. It was about a group of women friends who had bought a big property together and planned to live together in a kind of sorority. Those women were literally just minding their business but all the comments were bitter men saying women can't live without men and that they would regret it.

My brother and his girlfriend have been together for more than fifteen years. Fifteen.years. She's 35 now and he's 43. Not married and no baby, so everyone in the family assumed that it would never happen by now and that they both prefered to focus on their careers. I was flabbergasted the other day when my sister in law told me that my brother's girlfriend had said to her that she was still hoping for marriage and kids. What????? My brother does not want kids he only likes to be the fun uncle h…

I've seen the movie, there's no rape scene in it thankfully. The rape is alluded to but never shown.

Yeah it's so obvious in the way the implant sits on the chest, particularly on skinny women. And how it doesn't behave like regular boobs do when they lie on their sides. For it to look completly natural the woman needs to already have significant boob fat to cover it imo.

Wow. And Kylie Jenner is a super obvious case of plastic surgery too. Most female celebrities have more subtle work done but if they don't pick up on Kylie, you can bet they won't on those other celebrities. I see so many people saying that Kendall stayed natural....dude....no.

It reminds me of that popular tik tok of a girl dancing (she wasn't even that ripped, i mean she was no chris hemworth but she had significant upper body muscles mass for a girl). Lots of men ridiculing her, and the most popular response was a kid saying "that bitch is too strong, she looks like king kong".

In France we have famous female writers Colette (husband taking credit for her work) and Georges Sand (had to use a male name) as examples of this.

For real though. I've never had a big success with guys, i'd say i'm below average and even i have my anecdotes of being sexually harassed or having that sinking gut feeling that that man looking intensely at me with a smirk and creepy predator eyes, wants to rape me (later confirmed as the dude literally told me he was gonna fuck me, and followed me). I cannot imagine what it's like for more attractive girls.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
