As a husband and father that makes 100% of the money, cooks 100% of the meals, does 99.9% o0f the shopping, 99.999% of the bill paying, and 99.9% if the household chores, I am seriously offended by your statement.

Here So all it would take is a preponderance of the evidence for her lawyer to say he should be making more. That is not all it would take. It would take the mother(s) to present evidence that is stronger than the evidence the father presents. But running is better than presenting evidence in court.

Because you all have victim syndromes. You all want to be martyrs. While I agree there is a cause for MRM, often this sub takes a hivemind approach and takes every opportunity it can to play the victim.

Dude, both sides are allowed to present evidence. If a PERSON is not making as much as they were before, then a preponderance of the evidence will easily show why imputed income does not apply.
/r/MensRights24/02/13 11:29 PM

I do not either. It pays for someone to be a piece of crap when they are receiving child support.

So all it would take is a preponderance of the evidence for her lawyer to say he should be making more. According to you, he is not allowed to present evidence. I guess you really showed how running from the law makes sense.

what they feel he should be earning. So, the court is a group of people with feelings and not an institution that makes decisions based on facts evidence and testimony presented? In some cases, running is the right thing. OK. Have a good day.

All of you men's rights activists are wearing blinders. Your entire goal is to the system is lop sided, even when using examples where it is NOT lopdided. If a court determines that a parent is unemployed, underemployed or earning less than what he or she was previously earning to avoid child support payments, the court can impute a certain amount of additional income to that parent. The court determines these finding based on articulable facts, and evidence presented. This is not some arbitrary…

The article said he stopped paying "without explanation". Correct. It appears as though he did not bring this to arbitration and present evidence supporting a re-calculation of the support order based on new circumstances. That is the wrong thing to do. What she said is irrelevant. What is relevant is the law and how this man did not follow it. I don't make the laws, but I am forced to deal with them. This man should have brought a petition for modification of support before the court. Instead h…

Sorry, I am not buying it. Evidence in a Domestic courtr is based on a preponderance of the evidence. If you are legitimately suffering financially it is not difficult to show that to a court based on a preponderance of the evidence. In addition, it detracts from his credibility that NO efforts were made to have the child support reduced. In fact, it appears the courts found he was hiding income. Running is NEVER the right thing to do.

I was debating that and was torn. I will change it back.
/r/MensRights22/02/13 11:47 PM

This is not true. All he needed to do was petition the courts for a review of child support order. My son's mother does it all the time. The court would then take into account his current income, not his past income. Running from this was not the right thing to do.

Well, taking the side of devils advocate, feminism was a good cause back in the day. In Sociology I recall studying about the opression of women and how they fit the bill in every way as a minority race, but they were white and their race was not a minority. The problem is that laws have not been revised as time has moved on and what we see today is woman taking advantage of the lop sided laws and views. I was going to say this. It is in the woman's best interest to make as little money as possible. That way the father has to pay more in child support. In a way, the system rewards woman for being low lifes by giving them more child support the more worthless they are.

one day a woman will show up at my door demanding a paycheck. This is a very sad and painful reality. Woman have a child and see $$ signs. The fact is the laws give women more than their fare fair share of money when it comes to child support. And it is in no way fare. Take for example a woman that does not work, yet has a child 70% of the time and the father makes 100K because he worked hard. NO. I have given up. I won custody. She appealed and her parents stepped in and took over. I had to deal with her parent's on everything. if you can provide a better quality of life for rhe child and you could PROVE any of the above then, you got yourself a custody case in the eyes of your childs legal law guardian. Wrong. The courts attempt to give the child an equal quality of life by taking money from parent or the other.

I have found a good lawyer. One of the best in my state. Michael Ward. He is cited in several Supreme Court decisions setting case law for several issues. I mean we get along for the most part. I love my wife. There are good things about her, and bad things. The only thing we really fight about is when I get frustrated with stuff around the house and go off on a tangent. I could not afford to live if we split up. Well......she should have zero custody for starters. she claims him on her taxes. I cannot afford $100 a month. That is why I pay such a small amount. /r/MensRights07/06/12 11:13 AM

You are in a unique situation where you can see the double standard given to a woman and a man. I think that is a good thing because the more people that can see the double standard the more possible change becomes. I have split custody where the mother has my son 54% of the time, and I have him 46% of the time. Long story on why I settled for that, but with two kids myself I end up paying her $60.00 a month. The guy is dressed too nicely. If the photo were accurate, there is a very slim chance he would be able to afford nice clothes after paying child support.

I thought this was going to be about fathers getting raped over the coals with high child support bills, instead this is about one state tagging interest on child support at the wrong rate of interestm relative to the code.

It's called {condensed version} Claim the money as "winnings"- pay the necessary taxes- hey it sucks but its not as much as you would have lost in the divorce and better the government than her. Profit And here I was thinking the divorce laws just need to be revised for be more fair to both genders.

This type of thing teaches misandry and it teaches that it is OK. This is a main stream store offering these T-shirts, not an off beat humor store.

Am I the only one that is offended that the money is tax free? She does not pay taxes on the 55K a month, and she gets tax credits for making little money (if she even has a job) and having the kids.

Not to mention the woman does not pay taxes on that $1,000 a month, gets 100% tax credit for the children, and you get 0.00 tax credit for the children even though they are costing you 1,000 a month cold cash and you pay taxes on the 1,000 a month. Wonderful system they have.

My son's maternal parent's poured 30K into lawyers and psychologists to win custody on an appeal....then they only won the tramp split custody. There is no way I could have fought 30K in lawyers, psychologists, and social workers on an appellate level. Not to mention some appellate judges in my area are known to side with the mother no matter what....it is the luck of the draw as to which appeallate judge you get that day.

Amen brother. The system is set up for the woman. I have split custody and pay support.....because the mother cannot grow up. She assaulted my mother and got the case dismissed....it was just too hard to believe a woman could act that way. Imagine if I was accused of had assaulting her mother......
