I still wonder, though, if you think the problem is that people think women won't hurt men, why do so many people laugh when they know that the violence has already been committed? I was trying to say that the stereotype that men are stronger and women are weak means that people won't take an attack seriously if a man is a victim of a woman's violence. 1	I'm a girl and... I actually started becoming aware of men's issues through feminism. Not because I saw lots of men-bashing in feminism, but when I became aware of discrimination towards women I started becoming aware of discrimination towards men and realized that we have a lot of issues that stem from the same sexist ideas. 1	Another "humorous" article in the Huffington Post about a woman sexual assaulting and murdering a man, along with all the giggles in the coments. There were male commenters laughing too. I think people think it's funny because of the stereotype of men being strong and able to protect themselves. They find him laughable because he was vulnerable and it's perceived that he should have been able to protect himself against a woman. Like, "Oh, look at this pansie, got himself killed because a little lady grabbed his balls".
