39 male, I've been divorced for 2 yrs. Even with a friend with benefits, relationships are stressful. Stay single if you can't commit. I'm waiting for my 2 kids to finish high school before I commit to anyone.

You're a freaking shellfish SOB for thinking of doing that.

FWB is not for everyone. You can definitely catch feelings. We do kiss, I do go down on her too. Nothing really different.

For us. We are both very busy with work & our own kids. The term FWB can mean lots of things to other people. For us, we don't have time to date. We just enjoy our friendship together. We both agree that if we start dating & sleeping with someone else, then we both will stop having SEX. You just have to agree together on the term of your FWB.

It basically she your friend, no holding hands. Enjoy time together and in the bedroom at time.

FWB shouldn't be this complicated. My fwb was hang out as friend. Go to the movie, dining, etc and sex. Also, no sex with anyone else(we didn't want to get std or stuff from other people).

I have 2 kids, 11 and 13 and divorced after 17yrs. I'm 38 years old now. If you can stick together until the kids are out of the house, I would do it. I prefer to see my kids happy then my own.

Sorry, if you don't agree. Our job as a father is to prepare them for life and make sure they are happy as well. If they are not happy as children, they will not succeed in life.

I understand, but with kids in the pictures, it's different. We need to put the kids first. Make sure they are happy. Not good when both parents continue to fight.

My ex left me after 17 yrs (meet when I was 20) for someone else. I would rather see her happy, so our 2 kids can have the best life possible. I know it hurt, but we all need to move on as well. Be the best co-parent as possible. Do it for your kids.

It's mainly because of the kids. Not going to be easy for them. I didn't care about my happiness. It was more about them.

If there is no cheating going on, try to work it out for the kids. Trust me, you both will regret it. It will not get easier.

Thanks, my ex-wife only makes $20k & I make $70k. Now it's harder with basically 2 different household expenses.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
