My only issue is that, as others have said, there may be women who work out in the community space. If all of one type of equipment is being used there and there are free ones in the women's only area, that kinda screws me, doesn't it? Not only that, we're paying the same membership dues yet they get special treatment. I even said in the OP that I understand their need/want for such a space.

Depends. Sometimes alimony can work as some sort of "deductible" towards child support, so they're kinda one in the same. And yeah, her excuse was ridiculous. "I have three children!" Maybe she should've changed her claim, "I don't need a man's money" and changed it to "I don't need a man's money except to pay for my responsibilities in life".
