If it weren’t for the legal age requirement being 18, he wouldn’t have waited that long 🤮🤮🤮

“You can learn to love a man with money” is what my great grandma always said.

After the 4th date my now husband was dropping me off at home. I got out of his truck and he yelled “I’m gonna marry you pettles!” before I closed the door. They know.

Yes! This bleeds into real life situations too. My dad has a buddy who gives me the absolute CREEPS. He’s married and has kids and a lot of friends in their circle. My dad thinks I’m crazy for being so weary of his friend for “no reason”. He even told him that I think he’s creepy. So now he avoids me. Kind of a win I guess?

I don’t think men should be openly invited by our members to come browse. It’s not for them. The majority of them will never understand it. I think inviting them = inviting problems.

Embrace it and own it! Don’t sabotage it or act weird to maintain your comfort zone. The phrase fake it til you make it can be applied here. You DESERVE to be treated excellently. I do relate though. I came back from a Caribbean vacation with my grandma and my fiancé had bought me a new outfit while I was gone. It was strange because it fit and I loved it. It was totally my style. I had to text my friends a pic and ask “is this weird? I feel weird?” I was so used to LVM before him I didn’t know …

Don’t engage. Men who gaslight are attempting to manipulate. If you engage it evolves into a power struggle, a cyclical argument, or him lying to try to cover for himself. Gaslighting is a LVM trait. Don’t even entertain it. Just leave. If you’re forced to be around him at like work or something I would just say something like “Pretty sure I’m right, but ok” and WALK AWAY and stop responding.

He has the audacity to mistreat you (in apparently 2018, I’m wondering what he did...) when he’s the one with all the baggage? Then get mad when you decide to make him the option that he is instead of a committed partner without the commitment? He also said during this break period that he “found people who would value him”, meaning he hooked up or was “talking” with other people. Then tries to bait you by saying he has something nice to give you and would marry you next week. He’s lying and eve…

Wow! I’ve seen these tactics used before by multiple men! Makes me realize there’s really no end to how they can shamelessly make themselves look shitty. Negging and sending mixed signals is their “trick”? We can all spot that a mile away. And that tic tac thing? 🤮😂 The author also conveniently leaves out that the only way these will work with an intelligent, attractive, and confident woman will be if HE is insanely hot. Which in that case, if a woman chooses you for (just) sex it’s not because …

He really just wrote “I work at a pizza shop” with tons of fluff around it in hopes you’d be distracted by all the additional info. I can definitely see this being the type of guy to just talk so much during an argument he assumes he won because the other person was too worn out to continue.

Makes perfect sense to me. When my ex mistreated me and shamed me for making sure my own needs were met (when he couldn’t get the job done) I physically couldn’t bring myself to be with him intimately much after that. Time to kick him to the curb.

He should definitely give up on trying to have kids. He’s 70. I’d put money on him just bringing in the bare minimum social security check each month. He’d probably die before his kid gets their first car. Who wants that? It’s a selfish “legacy” fantasy.

She keeps saying she can’t divorce him over it but it’s so much more than that. He’s not meeting her needs and that’s a valid reason for anyone to end a relationship.

Agreed. He is clearly the asshole but even stated that she hasn’t tried very hard to figure out where the money is coming from. If I had given birth to his child and had to drop out of school I would demand answers. For all she knows he’s selling drugs on the side. She sounds like she would benefit from some FDS.

I’d be cautious with the word “casual” as most men tend to view it as having sexual connotations. But if they’re respecting your boundaries then it sounds like you’ve got a good set up. 🤷🏼‍♀️ As for not knowing “what to do with” them... If they’re fun to spend time with on dates, talk to, and add value to your life I don’t see an issue with keeping it at just that.

I would say keep texting to a minimum and keep it as face to face as possible by going to nice dinners and other dates. Stay mysterious and keep it light and fun! I’m sure he really enjoys your company. If he asks you what you’re looking for, and will not let you dodge the question, just be honest and say you’re looking for someone to take you out and spend time with. I would exclude that you aren’t looking for an LTR, not to be deceptive, but because you never know, you could end up changing yo…

But on the other hand... If I send my man to the store for something he hardly ever comes back without flowers. Not gonna lie, I’m not choosy about the type because it’s so frequent. I have a fresh bouquet of pretty flowers at all times. Every now and then he splurges, but I don’t think it’s realistic to expect $70-$80 bouquets each time if you’re getting them weekly.

This is a really valid point I didn’t consider before. If my HVM had a close friend who behaved like this I wouldn’t be happy about it.

I agree with never throwing away friends. I keep going back and forth between the idea of just going low contact and ending the friendship altogether. I love my girl friends.

I was just explaining to one of my girlfriends how much of an energy vampire Lacy is... I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said here. It’s out of my hands at this point. The relationship has met its natural end.

Outside my boyfriend and aside from her mistreating men, being mistreated by men, and fishing for attention from men, she’s a good friend. But I have spent a lot of energy on her the last 4-6 weeks because she’s pretty high maintenance and has been going trough this “break up”. It has been incredibly draining.

She is currently in therapy. Other than her choices with men she really does work hard on being her best self. She just doesn’t listen to me or her therapist. It’s more than exhausting at this point. My choice to end the friendship isn’t based solely on my relationship with my boyfriend. But it is a part of it. I just don’t think I want to have people like her in my life anymore.

Before I realized my worth I did this. I needed attention and validation and they were an easy source. It’s taken me years to build myself up into the woman I am now. Once I realized that I am, in fact, a very high quality woman, I started living my best life and then found my HVM. I felt no need to keep any LVM (including 2 guys friends I had for over 8 years) in my life any longer. My HVM just got me an engagement ring. I kind of wish I could have skipped the phase where I didn’t know my worth…

This man has been a temporary stepping stone in development for yourself but it’s time to grieve, block, and move onto bigger and better things. Aren’t you ready to be someone’s first and only choice? You’re better than being someone’s back up. You deserve actual fulfillment. He will never amount to what you actually want.

This is the first relationship I’ve been in where I set the boundary way up front and made sure he knew he would never know my body count and I’d never ask his. It’s also the first relationship where I’ve been treated like an absolute queen. My number is high, and I fully believe that being open with my exes had much to do with how shitty they treated me. The one time in my current relationship where I confessed to hooking up with someone relatively close to the time we started dating it hurt hi…
