Smith talks about this stuff extensively in the Wealth of Nations. 15	Men consistently outperform women in Oxford exams. Solution: ban exams If anything, wouldn't the preferment go the other way? If men are outperforming women on the exit exams, wouldn't it follow that the women admitted are, on average, less qualified than the men that are admitted, and therefore given preferential treatment at these interviews?
