The problem is the entire basis of his argument is that conservatism is an identity rather than a way of describing someone’s political beliefs. It’s like Americans think if you have certain beliefs you must be lumped into an ideological identity.

I'm not religious either, but that doesn't mean there aren't useful religious principles which can apply to your life.

So you're saying that whenever an Asian actor is cast in a role it HAS to be for political reasons? Okay, at this point I have to question your reading comprehension. No where have I ever implied that. You're really missing OlanValesco's point. chance to prove their worth We're talking about objective reasons for hollywood to include Asian characters, and giving Asians a "chance to prove their worth" is not objective. How much pull does this Asian have, can he/she generate revenue and audience? …

Will smith already had a large audience which could contribute to the success of the movie, and I'm not really sure how it's even relevant to this discussion. It's very distinctly different to changing a white character to a black character. It's not like Independence Day casted will smith for political reasons?

How did you come to the conclusion that you needed to be tested? And who did you go to for the testing? Sometimes I wonder if something is amiss because my energy levels just seem so low, but I'm probably over thinking it.

I have a theory that weed doesn't make you lazy, it just makes being lazy much easier. i.e. Sitting alone all day is boring, but if you're sinking those cones all day it's pretty fun being lazy. I only let myself smoke as a reward now, not to enable laziness.

Just wanted to add that I think meditation really solidifies a lot of what you're talking about. Definitely recommend it to people who have difficulty remaining calm in high stress situations.

I'm pretty sure being a beta has more to do with your attitude and frame rather than what group you fall under. I mean these stereotypes usually hold up but that doesn't mean there aren't alphas with pony tails haha...

I feel like they are 2 very different things. Your "fantasy" is destroyed. What you built in your mind, your ego self worth etc. In divorce cases their "reality" is destroyed, on top of their fantasy. Everything they've worked for, for their whole life, can be taken from them. I don't think you can measure how destroyed someone is by their emotional state. There's a lot of tangible resources and relationships that you can measure. If you're strong minded you won't be destroyed at 20ish by a rela…

So Alpha bro. Seriously people go so over the top on this reddit. What are you trying to prove? You know you can just tell him to man up cos the results are worth it. You don't have to be an over-dramatic "ALPHAMALE" by involving dumb shit like suicide.

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Ultimately they're not the same. TRP motivates you to improve yourself and further yourself, and it tries to teach objectivity through meditation and other methods. It's not as much of an echo chamber as Feminist forums. It does still bare similarities. Both groups are generally upset with the way society is run, both groups do see society as "sheeple" as you mentioned. However, TRP creates internal methods to try to enhance their own lives within so…

Well it might not be a problem for that person. So advising them to stop, when it's not harmful, I mean, what's the point? That's all I'm saying. Take it on a person to person basis. If this guy was like, "yeah I smoke weed and I'm lazy and do nothing to further myself" then by all means tell him to stop. The OP never mentioned anything like that though. Seems to me like he's doing fine. So it's just really un-needed advice.

Eh there are tons of highly motivated people who smoke. The drugs not the problem, it's the mentality of the person smoking it. I literally smoke before gym because I love the feeling of working out high, usually I can push myself a bit harder. Started smoking at a similar time of finding trp, and my life style has become dramatically better. I attribute this to trp, not weed, but weed definitely hasn't hindered me in any way. All anecdotal, but I don't agree with "stop smoking it's bad for you …

I started smoking shortly before finding trp, I still smoke and at the moment I am a much more productive person than I was pre-trp. I don't think weed has any negative effects on me really, in fact when I gym I love to smoke up beforehand cos I love the feeling of lifting while high. I think it's important to examine how weed makes you individually but I'm not sure why trp so often makes blanket statements about it. Michael Phelps smokes weed and god damn that guy has to have some of the highes…
