I don't think I'm being controversial saying that. You clearly have a problem with accesibility to guna by people who shouldn't be anywear near those kind of weapons. I'm telling you how I think and feel. And I think it's fair to say a lot of Americans defende that right to bear arms.

Yes. Most Brits see why that's reasonable. And my Trump point was just a throwaway comment on how he talks about the UK and places like Birmingham without knowing what actually happens here. Shows when he talks about "no go zones".

Yes. Knowledge of martial artsnis pretty common in the UK. The vast majority never need to protect themselves. Also that's we have a police force. They're far more trustsed than their American counterparts and the size of the UK means they can get to danger very quickly in most instances. In the UK no one carries without intent. Arming every one would only escalate the scale of the violence.

It's sexist yes but inherently men and women are different. And personally I don't have a huge problem with focusing on rehabilitation rather than just punishment. If it's effective why not roll it for men as well. Also that's basically my point in itself. Those in glass houses...

It has to do with Trumo cause he like lotsnof Americans runs his mouth a lotnwith minimal knowledge of the UK. I don't care if you vote for him, not my country his jurisdiction is limited. In this country no one carries a knife without intent to use it. We dont think bad guys will stop carrying because its illegal but it makes them incredibly easy to spot. Also gives us a law to put them away kn the spot just for having a weapon. No one ever suggested it was a final solution to stop all baddies.…

Trump also makes these kinda off handed, bullshit comments about the UK/Europe and it's just irritating. Especially as someone who actually lives it's clear to see it's scaremongering bullshit for his own agenda overseas. The potato peeler thing is one instance. If you habe an actual reason to have it on your person there's no issue. However in a country where no one carries any kond of weapon. If you walk around with a blade on you, the law will see you as the aggressor. And rightfully so imo. …

As a Brit I hate when Americans say stuff like this it's incredibly patronising. Ues knife crime is a problem here but it pales in comparison to the extent of your gun problem. Trump only seems to talk about the UK and Europe to further his own agendas. Usually with super inaccurate info as well.
