I don’t want to project at all, because you haven’t alluded to it. But is it possible he watches porn more than you are aware? My partner is a porn addict and it took years to get to the bottom of his “low libido.” He would always softly (and eventually angrily) project back on to me but it was never me. Yes I turned into a nag about it, but not being a nag resulted in years of dead bedroom as well, because it was never my issue. Pop over to subreddit loveafterporn and see if any of it relates t…

I didn’t say that he was considering her for his wife. I said the only thing that has changed since they got together was how she feels about herself because he broke down her self confidence. No need to be snarky. Women also get into FWB situations willingly. The issue here is that she began to feel like she was not good enough where she didn’t before.

You have to stop this negative self talk

That is how he perceived you though. You thought yourself worthy when you met him. He treated you a certain way and tore down your self esteem. This is not a person you want to have any further entanglements with.

But what changed between when you felt you were in the same league and when you decided you were not good enough?

If you thought you were in similar leagues to start then decided you weren’t based on how HE treated you…. Sounds like he just broke down your self confidence. Your looks and status likely did not change in the time you knew him (you didn’t change leagues, you allowed him to change how you saw yourself).

Could be. If you think he might be worth it you can give it a shot and try to confirm. Worst case he either says he changed his mind or ghosts you. I’d prefer that to getting all ready and wasting my time. Maybe he will turn out nice and it’s just getting off to a slow start.

My experience was always if there was no follow up to see if I was going to come the day before the date, the date did not happen. Even if I had the place and time and showed up, I would be alone. The interested guys always follow up the day before or early the day of. And typically you will exchange numbers and have some texting interaction prior. I would not bother going personally.

This is ridiculous. I have had hobbies, worked on personal development, and gained a professional degree and completed residency during my 20’s and 30’s (I also got married and had several children during this time). Most women know that the aging process will happen. And most women cannot count on their looks to provide for them in a meaningful way, and even if they can for a while of course there is an expiration date on that. Most females know they cannot bank on their looks taking care of th…
