Thats actually a pretty good summation. Here lately work has been a drag in a way. Im doing 60+ hours (work basically exploded and were understaffed) but every sunday i still get up and at least do 1 thing just for me. I rest do my chores etc but I do one little thing to give myself that time.

When I go golfing its my opportunity to unplug. Even if Im just on the driving range I usually leave my phone in the car. On a course I have my phone with me for my course map app but thats it. Helps me navigate new courses and makes club suggestions. When Im on the green or the mat its just me and the ball vs the course. By the end of a bucket or 18 holes it feels like a weird purge getting all the crap I sucked up even inadvertantly during the week.

Stihls are great but not my choice mainly due to price. My step grandad had a really old handlebar style brushcutter that never gave any trouble till he left it out in the rain and it needed a carb kit. Other than that never had any trouble at all from it.

Favorite mower is my Massport 21” push, two-stroke stuff I lean towards Echo/Shindaiwa... own a PB580T blower and a T344 trimmer. No troubles out of either and my trimmer especially has power for days. Favorite chainsaw(s) I wish I had was both an Echo CS590 Timberwolf and a CS800. My previous job I was a mechanic at a dealer and unless it was severely abused (usually commercial customers) all the Echo/Shindaiwa stuff just came in for a routine service. Damn my condolences. Its heartwarming to hear youre recovering though. Thankfully I havent gotten that deep into a relationship, but I feel the taught need for a relationship had become very damaging to me. Thanks for sharing a little of your story man. Feels a little less lonely in the world with the MGTOW crowd actually.

This exactly. Seeing celebrities on TV spouting off “Were with you!” while sitting cozy at home living their lavish life. I feel i pretty closely agree with this. The truly sensible voices fighting against this trend are buried or silenced. I could be completely off base but this whole quarantine is pretty telling of the trend. Im not saying people shouldnt practice common sense as far as staying safe, but it seems theres a fair handful of liberal leaning places that want to keep pushing the shutdown as far as they can. I think it really may just stem from what you already touched on. Guilt or insecurity tends to project. Feel bad about yourself? Lets bully someone to feel better. Cheating partner? They tend to point the finger the hardest.
