Cheers man! I love the 'idea' of having a child one day. But the change in a mother after kids scares the shit out of me. However, I live in VN and I would most likely be with a VN woman with traditional family values. Not sure if that would make a difference. AWALT and all.

I'm a big fan of the Bigger, Leaner, Stronger book by Mike Matthews. He lays out the science of eating and gives you simple equations to figure out approximately how many calories you should be consuming for cutting, maintenance and bulking. It also comes with a one year work out plan that you can follow. I have been following it quite religiously and I've seen really nice gains. YMMV but I really liked his approach. It cleared up a lot of the misinformation out there.

She wants to figure you out but as soon as she has to she doesn't want to play the game anymore. Whether it's a test or not doesn't matter, if she's gonna act like this now, imagine how it will be down the road. I'm in a language center, which would be different from a private school. But it's the most expensive of it's kind in the city. The company operates throughout the world too, so it has some 'prestige' to it. It does take a little bit to get into though. i.e They usually want CELTA + 2 years. I'm sure everyone wants to know about salary. So for those wondering, I make about 45k a year here in VN. But since everything is half the cost of the US, it's like making 80k to 100k back home. Plus I live in HCMC which is arguably the most expensive. I save half my paycheck each month and invest in my Roth and other investments back home. I had never thought about living in VN before I arrived. I was actually just traveling through SE Asia planning to do an around the world thing. But when I got here, my mom had a VN friend from the states who still had family here and they hooked me up. The lifestyle was easy going, the food delicious and the women are gorgeous. So I just never left.

I've worked my way up into a Coordinator (middle mgmt role) but I started off teaching. I first got my CELTA which got me into the top language centre and then my school paid for my TYLEC (young learners) and my Dip-TESOL (Advanced training course) It also counts 1/3 toward a masters degree. I recommend you get the CELTA at a min. All the other ones won't help you. Even better if you have your masters in education. Then you can teach at international schools.

I have lived in Vietnam for 7 years now. I make more than enough and I save half my paycheck, send it into the Roth and do some other investing. It can be done for sure. Thing is, no one will be hiring for a while with all the COVID stuff.

If you haven't already, read a book called Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker. The best book I've read all year. He goes on to say that men who get less than 8 hours of sleep a night end up having smaller testicles. No more sales pitch needed. The benefits of are immeasurable, of course, but that was my favorite. But in general, all of what we do here, the self-improvement, lifting, money, women etc., is worthless without adequate sleep.

Thanks, man! If you have a chance, I highly recommend it. I know not everyone's situations allow for such a change, but hell, just the simple lack of traditional stress propagated by Western societies is fairly non-existent here - if you play your cards right. And as you've said, it's a heavenly paradise of beautiful Asian women who have a much longer sell-by date.

This is why I've lived in Vietnam for the past 5 years and I have no intention of moving back to the U.S. The girls here are naturally beautiful, slim, nurturing, submissive & they expect you to be alpha. My biggest fear is that western culture will continue to affect eastern mentalities with eventually more than just fashion and pop music. Great post.

I agree with that. In the culture here, I see the Vietnamese men as having much more beta type personalities / relationships with the women here. The divorce rate is only at 9% so I'm guessing that a lot of times, the women just stay. I'm wondering if I need to keep in mind that fluctuation in Beta while living here. If that will ultimately prove more successful.
