Yeah the biggest challenge is the first approach for me because like you said it is all about your state of mind. Usually on my way to the bar I try to talk on the phone to a high energy person. Then when I walk in the bar I don't use a real opener on the first set. I start off with some afc stuff and just let myself get shut down. From there it is a walk in the park because I'm just in a no fucks given mood after that and enjoy myself immensely.

You have three options in my understanding. Just hold a beer, maybe sip it down to halfway, but never finish it. (This is what I did) Order a sprite and soda (this is good for classy bars because they will put it in a scotch glass) Don't drink anything the entire time. This is usually harder because for me I just like to have something to have in my hand. I guess that is afc, but fuck it. I do what I want)

Actually ran into this. You can easily make this a great negging opportunity. "You are going to have to try harder than that to get in my phone" "Wow, I just asked for an opinion and this girl already wants my phone. I bet you do some serious Facebook stalking."
