The fact that you are comparing choosing a lartner to getting a job offer kinda proves the other guys point. I know this study and I think it is actually called back, but the idea stands. Men define attractiveness much more based on physical attractiveness compared to woman who rank man’s attractiveness dependent on their status more than physical appearance.

I think the sad part is that you are (like most of the people) willfully ignorant to the fact that there is a double standard here. Preferences are preferences and there is a bunch of things one can decide not to pursue a relationship. And no, I would not think that it is ridiculous if a women leaves a man if they are not physically attracted anymore because something about their body turns them off. Frankly this happens all the time, and no one bats an eye whatsoever.

Haha because I like the conversation. But I think about it like this. JP is really popular and incredibly useful not because he is an incredible philosopher with original ideas. It’s because men are really suffering and treated as disposable, and he spoke about this issues in a very articulate manner and put out a lot of content online and passionate about it. There a bunch of philosophers who talked about the similar things in a more sophisticated manner like, Schopenhauer, Bertrand Russell, Immanuel Kant, Nietzsche, Jung, Erin pizzy. But for more contemporary people who is also good at speaking: Christopher Hitchens is my favorite.

I remember the moment, but maybe it’s because I have so much context because of watching MD, I know why he was being frustrated. But also JP trying to prove god with DMT and psychedelics was just weak, he was also making a word salat to answer simple questions and it was obvious to me that he still wants to appeal to his audience therefore was not answering to Matt’s proving honestly. I am on the left and I follow MRM, also slightly cringed at JP crying. It’s not about the emotions showing and I like this guy a lot (except his beliefs about religion). Point is all of these can be true and that doesn’t mean that men aren’t treated unfairly in this society.

That is really unfortunate though. Fundamentally this is the same thing of discriminating against a person because they are atheist in a muslim society. I would know, because it went through it.
