I guess I'm lucky then. Two parents (early 30s maybe), as far as I know, had no problem letting me look after their two boys all summer. I was often alone with them for hours on end. I'd let them play in their treehouse, swim with them in the pond, take them for walks in the woods (the house was in the country obviously). I realize now that I should probably be grateful for having had such an easy time getting the gig, when I hear stories like this. I guess it helps to be able to tell people my …

Some truth to this. Girls where I grew up would often get pregnant (with or without the guy being aware of what he was doing) in high school so they could use the extra welfare to not have to work during and after high school. EDIT Downvoting? What? You don't like the reality of the place where I grew up? I said there was some truth, I didn't say it was all true, or that I agreed with all of it. I'm not a butt-hurt sexist pig, I'm just sharing an anecdote.

As a guy I've always thought it was totally unfair that guys get high fives for sleeping with lots of girls, and girls get a bad wrap for sleeping with lots of guys. The extent of it is so sever, that even though I totally see the double standard and wish it didn't exist, I, like everyone else, have been brainwashed into thinking automatically that if a girl has slept with more than a handful of guys (I'm still young, people don't have much history yet), she's a slut and therefor less attractive…

Good call man, shit, why didn't I think of that!

No I know I can, I usually even put them on Facebook because that's what my stepmom does with the nice pictures she snaps, but its just the fact that I get that feeling at all that makes me feel, :/

Oh shit, I'm seriously crying, I hope that she enjoyed as much of her life as she could. ='(

Ugh, I hate this. I'm 17 but my little sister is 4. I often see her doing the cutest things, and go to grab the camera and take a picture, but then think: "What if my stepmom (her mom) comes in and thinks I'm being creepy?". So I usually just try and commit her cuteness in that particular moment to memory and get along with my day. It really sucks because given how much older I am, I've helped raise her so far, and I hate to not be able to capture those moments, which may never happen again give…

Yes, but then who would do those less exciting or more dangerous jobs?

hate=/=being bitter Also, bitterness tends to be about something someone has done, an will wear off. Hate tends to be a deeply rooted loathing of the actual individual, and persists through time.

There's a difference between hate and being bitter towards while the feelings are still raw.

sorry, I was listening to a conversation my dad was having with his lawyer friend from there a little while ago when I heard this, I was in the room and all, so I know what I heard, but I'm not in any position to confirm this, and wouldn't know where to start looking for a legitimate case of this

as a Canadian I usually feel pretty safe, but when it comes to this stuff it's pretty fucking retarded. in some parts of Canada, if a man moves in with a woman who already has kids, or she has kids and moves into his house, and this situation persists for 12 (or was it 24?) months, and the man decides to move out or break it off with the woman, he must pay child support for the kids for the rest of their pre-18 lives.

Like I said. Nothing anyone says is going to shift my mindset at this point. The damage has been done, I'm not going to ever be the virtuous little boy I used to be again.

Your right, except I'm not talking about killing her am I? Look, this argument is impossible for you to win. You know why? Not because I'm right and you're wrong. No harm justifies another harm. But you know what? I've been fucked over and tossed around so many times, that I've become a bit of a hateful prick. It's not even possible for me to picture myself being treated lovingly or fairly by a girl other than those that are in my family (mother, sister, etc). In my mind, no girl could ever find…

The point I'm making is the complete opposite of that. In my view, emotional pain like that is more sever and more damaging than physical pain, do you honestly not understand that? Would you not rather get punched in the face than broken up with? Emotional harm is way more sever than physical pain. Cheating on someone, or doing something else terrible emotionally, is a conscious decision. You've chosen to hurt that other person. It would go the same way if the offender was a guy. If a guy cheats…

I consider myself very lucky to be in a healthy relationship now. Good! All my friends (yes, all) are in steady relationships, except one, but he doesn't want one, and he gets plenty of what he wants, anyway, so it makes it weird for me to hang out with them, cus they're all always paired off, so now I'm single, and can't hang out with my friends as much. What gets me the most is when they complain about it, as if they'd be happier single and miserable. At least you realize how lucky someone is …

She did hurt me more. How did she not? If someone were to punch me repeatedly, until I had a broken nose, I'd be fine as soon as the nose was healed, at most a couple of months, maybe slightly less attractive face, as far as long-term damage goes. Family/friends feel bad, show support, I get to be the guy who broke his nose. Girl cheats on me, I am a wreck for months, I may never fully get over her, or regain trust in women, and therefor jeopardize other relationships, or become depressed, lose …

The pain she'd cause would be orders of magnitude more sever, more damaging, and more long lasting than anything I could physically do to her in public would be. Food for thought. lol

I dunno, there probably are. But, to be honest, I'm not directing this at 25+ women, because I don't know them relationship-wise, but girls in my age group (15-25), are almost always the ones screwing over the guys where I live. I'm just seventeen, and I've been fucked over by at least 6 girls off the top of my head. Three of those were serious, albeit short-lived, relationships. So here I am now, a mildly hateful good-looking virgin college-boy, who spends all his time at home alone on Reddit, …

I can tell you right now, if I came home to something like this going on, or saw them in a restaurant, I would cuss the shit out of the girl, possibly hurt her, and, assuming the guy knows, beat him up. I'd beat up the girl too, but for some reason our society forbids equal retribution upon women. That, and I take her keys to my place, cards linked to my accounts, etc, and destroy them. I wouldn't break her stuff or anything, I'd just keep it or sell it.
