They probably didn't really have a quota to fill and just told you what you wanted to hear so you wouldn't take it personally.

Yeah, like I said, sometimes there are some very interesting behavioral science articles and whatnot.

I subscribe to this subreddit just out of curiosity and for the occasional interesting behavioral science article, but I don't really care about it. To me, a bunch of dudes giving each other tips on how to bang chicks is the most hysterically beta thing I can imagine. It's like the platoon of bros that scours the bars for loose women, only to end up at the pizza place emasculating each other with jokes at 3 AM... only it's on the internet. The internet!

I'm pretty sure more women in towns like Rolla, MO might slightly improve the lives of male engineers whether they dilute the talent level or not. That town sounds depressing as fuck because it's like 85% male due to the engineering school. I also think the end goal may be to attract intelligent women to a field they wouldn't normally consider. Who knows, some of these ladies could turn out to be phenoms. I agree that it's dumb on the surface, but it should have long term benefits.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
