Men raised in a barn absolutely seething right now

As a chubby guy, you can still get women if you're not some sort of Adonis, but having a fitness regimen shows people that you're dedicated, motivated, and healthy without you having to say it. If actions speak louder than words, then a habit is a national broadcast.

He only succeeded in dodging the argument. The definition of "patriarchy" is more centered around "men get preferential treatment in certain important areas of life," which isn't necessarily untrue. You can easily see examples of this wherever women try to enter classically male-dominated fields. IIRC, Scientific American published an article reporting more gender-based workplace discrimination against women in STEM fields, as opposed to otherwise. Furthermore, their discussion of "patriarchy" a…

Have you listened to the guy? He barely attacks the substance of an argument. His method of debate is a glorified version of attacking a strawman he made himself.

Ugh Peterson is such a hack.

Honestly, this sounds a lot like one of my first few, only on my tenth (and after several dates) I found a girl I really connected with and we've been dating for nearly two years now. Keep at it!

I'm not even Indian! A lot of my friends are, and that's how I know these things. Living in Little Punjab, ftw.

OP, you're so beta, I bet even your dad calls you "beta" when referring to you.

Latino guy here with long hair. I get laid more frequently than the vast majority of my white friends. I don't aim to pickup chicks. My goal every night is to enjoy myself. If that involves talking to a cute girl, I'll talk to her for the hell of it.

Holy crap, I never thought of that. I just go to the cougar bar in my town.

Just mention that you like traveling and see yourself doing business in foreign countries in the near future. Leaves it vague but interesting.

Now I just need to learn how to dance and I can bring my alpha to the dance floor. Time to watch some 70's Disco flicks. Thanks OP!

Eh... I think it all comes from being able to set goals for yourself. We all want to be an idealized version of ourselves (to an extent), but we also have to understand that change doesn't come instantaneously. So, the secret to getting from point A to point B is dedication and patience, slowly tweaking things to get there. Greatness isn't born, it's made.

You gotta try Slavic (Russian), Scottish, Irish, Cockney, and Mexican accents too, I love switching them up on people.

Not necessarily, but I figure I might as well take some more responsibility and accountability on my shoulders now, you know?

Well, this is the thing. I had a negative opinion of myself for a long time, interspersed with periods of extreme positivity. I decided that it's time for me to nut up and put myself out there to create a baseline for myself, while I focus on making myself the man I want to be, and there's no time like the present.

Sometimes, you have to beat the concepts into the learners though. Rephrasing them helps.

I feel like the best time to do it would be if you're running as well, and she just happens to cut across your line of sight.

She's gotta be cute. She has to be available to talk for a bit. I don't approach girls wearing headphones or girls who seem really wrapped up in what they're doing as it may be important and interrupting them would be impolite (although if she's really attractive, I'll go for it anyway). (For me) If we share something in common: a book she's reading, an instrument she's carrying, we're in the same class, etc. it makes approach a lot easier since I have a base to jump off of.

I think a large part of this is in learning what you can and can't control, then mastering your domain to the point that living is effortless.

So almost quite literally, chat her up, get a little touchy, then subtly build until either you go to town or she boots you?

Here's a half-decent opening line: "Hi, I'm threenil. How are you?" Then again, tonight was of my first times going out to party so I really only started talking to chicks after about 6 beers and a few shots of vodka.

More like a hipster. Flirting with chicks is too mainstream, I'm gonna go paleo and just drag her to my place.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
