I guess you can start by finding a friend, preferably a female, and just engage in conversation with her. Remind yourself to smile at appropriate times. Smiling is key to come off as a guy who is fun to talk to. Also try to make eye contact, but not too intense and/or for a long time. I guess here it is mostly due to the factor of distance. If the distance is very great it is just logical that smaller factors fall into greater importance since there is just naturally more work needed to establish a relationship. So I guess it's just due to a cost and use relationship.

I guess signals were pretty clear here that she wanted more and quicker. Shouldn't have forced yourself to fall asleep and just should have gone with the flow I guess.
