I think it's valid to be sad about height if you're significantly below average but if you're average, it's really not a big deal as it's made out to be here

5'8, I actually didn't even know about people caring about height that much until the internet. Sometimes I would hear that people preferred their boyfriend being taller, but that's it. Never any of the 6' stuff. It does seem very culture based. I've been called tall (lol) by other Asian people since the average Asian height is way shorter
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 03:00 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 08:47 PM

Yeah, nobody feels threatened by it - that's pretty much just incel revenge fantasy, or somebody confusing women feeling disgust/pity with feeling threatened. It seems like a win for everybody. Less lonely men + less harassed women. Technology sure is neat.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/24 12:06 PM

Nah. There's nothing wrong with somebody with more experience, I just find it really important to be able to relate with my partner so it's not for me personally. Regarding men being insecure over it... I would say it's often true and it makes sense, but I don't think that really deserves ridicule? Kinda fucked to make fun of somebody's insecurities - it's not like they want or choose to feel that way

Real. Depression actually made me more of a leech and I hated it. Took a while but I cleaned my act up a lot so my partner doesn't have dead weight. I got no hate towards those living a stay at home life, it's just personally not for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 07:16 PM
6

Yeah now that you mention it, outside of maybe a few manosphere spaces, I've never already heard of somebody near my age wanting a stay at home wife specifically. They usually want to be a provider but not necessarily a sole provider
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 07:03 PM
2

Yep, exactly. I don't think a lot of people catch on that the blue pill is satire and making fun of the pill thing in general. The idea of becoming "enlightened" and "pilled" from advice on the internet is silly to a lot of people, so the blue pill subreddit was made to make fun of the idea. Like, there's pretty much nobody that's anti-exercise or anti-eating clean lol

Yeah, Isekai manga is exactly the answer to your question and it's extremely blunt about it too. Japan is lonely as fuck so I think they're pretty popular too. The protagonist will look as generic as possible so the average reader can self insert. Their personality will pretty much just be meek nerd for the same reason. They will also somehow have a harem of women despite this, usually 1 of each cliche for the fans. 1 shy girl, 1 mean girl that secretly likes him, 1 ditzy girl with huge badonker…

I agree. I'm Gen Z and most of my friends and myself are dating people we met in our social circles. I think a lot of people are too either too scared of getting rejected, afraid of resulting drama in the friend group, and/or can't read the social situation to see if it they like them back. It's risky, but that's the point. It takes nuance and varies per person. You're supposed to take calculated risks in life to make a lot of progress, but some people are so afraid of failure that they never su…

And it's usually life simplified to only a small handful of stats... It's like being given a really complicated physics equation and being surprised that you can't just plug in 2 variables. If somebody is going to break down life to math, they could at least be good at it, y'know?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 06:06 AM

Completely agree. I don't think they missed much anyway. I was in 2 relationships for 90% of high school and it really wasn't anything to be envious of. I mean sure it might've helped me mature but acting like it was like I was living some teenage dream is crazy. I can literally relive all of the positive parts of that as an adult, without all the negative stuff like having to deal with crazy & strict parents (worst part imo), no car, no money.

Oh man, there was actually one big moment where this exact realization hit me. For context, I moved out from an extremely tiny town to a big university in the bay that had much more Asian people. I pretty much just no-life vidya and stayed home all day before college, so I ended up getting a lot more attention than I was used to. At a grad party, a stranger locked eyes with me and said "oh wow you're beautiful" which was the nicest thing I have ever heard. Granted, she was drunk and we probably …

All we know is that he had 3+ failed experiences (ex, OP, forum lady), he cheated on 1 of them, and 1 of them gave him herpes and/or a kid. There's nothing that suggests anything impressive. Even if the terrible qualities don't count, 3 dates is not that much.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 11:05 AM
1

Huh? I never mentioned his age, or that he's an incel. I just said the OP is likely 30, and the dude is like the opposite of chad because he has so many conventionally undesirable traits. If a cheating single dad cop with genital herpes is chad then I don't even know what to say to that man lol

WhatsApp is a huge red flag and is used by catfish and scammers; they start off by sending nudes and they leave if you aren't biting by sending money / blackmail material. Usually scammers want you to message them off the main app that you met on so they can dodge bans. Source: Me and my friends liked messing with them lol

You have to date somebody of the opposite sex in this sub of your choice. You can't force them to like you or do anything they don't want to do. You have to try your best to make the relationship work. If they genuinely really like you after 1 month, you get a morbillion dollars. How fucked (or not fucked at all 😔) are you? Edit: If you currently have a SO, they die when a nearby pie factory explodes. They become a force ghost and tell you to date other people. Edit 2: no you can't kill yourself…

I would 100% want to be broken up with if they felt that way. Much better to be single than anchor somebody down that doesn't want to be with me. That's sounds like a loss for both parties. This doesn't really seem like a gendered thing at all. Men and women both move on from relationships (and screech about it I guess) all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/23 04:34 AM
5

It would hurt in the short term of course, but I don't think that guy is in the wrong. Yeah, he fucked up by getting that far, but it would be even more fucked up to keep it going and stay with them out of pity.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/23 12:24 PM

Yeah, I don't think anybody can just lower their standards like that. Why would anybody wanted to be dated out of pity or because somebody lowered their standards? That sounds so depressing, I would much rather be alone
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 12:41 AM

Also, TikTok & Instagram always have the shittiest comments pushed to the top because they get engagement, and a lot of users are literally children. Basing your life around what others think is sad already. Having your love life dictated by a bunch of edgy teenagers who don't even know you exist is even more depressing.

Yeah I always found this complaint odd because 1) Being nice barely takes any effort because it's how good people act by default and 2) I guess kids can interpret that being nice gets girls due to stuff like Disney movies, but you should really know otherwise as an adult

Snap is an okay sign IMO, it's structured in a way that's easy to be flirty. It's more socially acceptable to send random photos of them doing stuff = much higher chance of a decent conversation. IG is probably less so, since it's like the "main" one for a lot of young adults and less personal. *This is assuming you met IRL ofc - if they ask to use Snap/IG quickly when you guys are already messaging then yeah that's a sign of OF / scam stuff. I got a girl's number this morning at Trader Joe's Da…

unironically uses the term soyboy complains about men not being direct, even though women's dms are filled with men immediately asking if they wanna fuck complains about feminism, aka advocating women's rights... even though they're a women yeahhhh either this woman is a fake fantasy or this woman is extremely rare and bizarre
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 01:38 AM

It's pretty fucked up, considering most of their audience are either... 1) young impressionable children (think about how many people have an edgy phase they regret) or 2) people not happy about something in society and want answers or the feeling that they aren't alone It really doesn't help that controversy gets views.

It's pretty nice. All the stuff people already pointed out like worse decision making, etc etc. Also, this sounds weird, but nobody has pointed it out: being horny during the day is suboptimal lol. Finding a private place -> having sex -> shower -> possibly nap or be tired afterward burns a lot of time.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 08:52 PM
14

Yes, you have to go through trial and error to find out social cues, and knowing how far you can push a boundary before it turns creepy isn't simple a lot of the time. The unfortunate part is that people are expected to learn this by the time they're out of high school, but some do not. It might not necessarily be their fault - some people have trouble grasping nuance or didn't get the experience they needed before they're suddenly hit with the adult world. It's not the worst thing ever, though.…

Male. Personally, I think it mainly stems from the fact that I'm really eccentric and being able to completely relate to another person is very difficult. For most of my life, I felt like I was surrounded by people who couldn't understand me. I can't describe how comforting it was to find somebody who does. I think neurodivergent people kinda know what I mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 11:50 PM
6

Is it weird that a partner who's extremely similar is exactly what makes me happy? Initially, it seemed obvious to me that people would think the same, but it's less common than I expected. This sounds narcissistic but being with somebody who has the same beliefs, tastes, personality, mannerisms, hobbies, etc sounds awesome???
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 11:18 PM
15

It’s pretty hard to do this as an adult because most people have found their friend group in school/work by now, people have less time, people are scattered, the age range is pretty large now, etc. Definitely not impossible though, here’s some ideas: Hobby groups: tabletop rgs, book clubs, cooking class, etc. Generally the best since you have a common interest so it’s a not so “cold” approach anymore. Plus you can have fun regardless of not finding a match. Fitness: yoga, running, cycling, marti…

Most of them keep to themselves but in my experience, the ones that make it their personality are definitely some interesting characters. I was close friends with one and also ran into a few. Typically disgruntled over something unfortunately out of their control (not conventionally attractive, disabled, short, neurodivergent, bad luck with women, etc.) Unironically referring to people as beta/alpha/chad/based/etc. Most people around my age (late Gen Z) know what they mean but don't say it serio…

If the intent of the experiment is to show that hot people can be really shitty and some people will want to fuck them: This is common sense. Everybody already learned that early on in life. If the intent of the experiment is to make a statement about an entire gender because of 8 people, then... lol.

I might be missing something obvious since I just skimmed the article, and I can't tell which color is which on the graphs since I'm on mobile. It looks like they only have a sample size of ~130 and ~250 women over 2 studies. Every single one was a woman in university so they're way more likely to have high standards. So I don't think it's really doomed for us as it looks, but still kinda sad. Interesting stuff though. I wish we saw the faces.

I think a lot of men here have their expectations very warped by social media and OLD. OLD has you competing with way more men and gives you way less chances to express yourself. Of course attractive people will dominate. There's often not much more to work with. Social media displays a highlight reel of people's lives, and usually the most social people will post the most. People are only going to post the highs in their life which makes being "normal" seem less attainable. People here also kee…

Yep, def agree with that. I'm just saying it's easier than having multiple dates, y'know? The rush sounds exciting at first but it's going to get expensive and exhausting pretty quick
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/23 05:59 AM

If you really only cared about getting laid, constantly dating is actually really suboptimal in terms of time and effort. Being with somebody who has a high libido is way more efficient. No need to jump through hoops courting them, getting to know them, etc, just wake up next to them every day.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/23 05:15 AM

I mean you can take it up with the professionals or look into it, I didn't just come up with it myself lol

A lot of the times it's genetic. Easiest way to find out is to take meds and realize you were playing on hard mode the whole time

I kinda agree with the overall message but this really depends on the rating scale. If you've been to truerateme, you know what I mean lol Anyway, I don't really think about competing in dating in general; it's not news and dwelling on it accomplishes nothing. I just go out there and serve

Yes, I agree they usually benefit from things that are easier in a relationship. Women support each other, which I genuinely think is great for them - I'm not the type to see one happy group of people and get bitter and turn it into a competition. So the natural solution is to do the same as men. A lot of men (rightfully so) complain that they don't get the same respect, but not many actually support other men. ex) I like leaving a positive comment when one of my guy friends posts on insta. Yes. It's a bonus ability that comes with being born as a woman, similar to how us asian people can secretly read minds so we can tell if you're having gay thoughts. They can read the 5g radio waves in the air to see if your vibe is off. You can combat this by wearing underarmor made of tinfoil to add an extra layer of defense for your virginity.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 10:33 PM

So if they go to the same school, or go to the same workplace, or are your FWB, or they're gay, or they have any attraction towards you, they aren't your friend? Damn... Regardless though, if you have any social hobbies, it's usually not too hard to have 1 friend of the opposite gender. Even back when I stayed inside and no-lifed LoL all day, there were a few women in some of the friend groups I would play with. /r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 07:36 AM

Yeah, I hope this doesn't offend anybody but I'm going to be real here: I can't imagine being happy with somebody who sees you like this. Not only was that a super fucked up thing to say, but even if you forgive them, they can't take back how they really feel about you. I'm in a relationship because I love them, not because I thought "Eh, good enough."
/r/RedPillWomen02/10/23 09:47 PM

This is very normal but for some reason this is the only sub I'm in where people would deny this. Like yeah, there's some people with high standards... then just don't date them?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/23 04:55 AM

If you include that phase where you're seeing somebody but you're not official and don't have a title? Then yeah, most people are going to go through that phase at least once or a few times. If you mean FWB then nah, that's pretty rare. If you means situationships plural at the same time, then that's even more rare.

IMO, it's usually very socially unaware people that take "all men are bad" literally and say "not all men" without reading the room. You know how "ACAB" goes over a lot of people's heads? You're not supposed to think literally all ~700,000 are bad; the point is to pressure the actual good ones to not be complacent about the status quo and to do something to reduce the amount of police assaulting others. Now replace police with men. Also, if somebody was raped or murdered, you would have to be co…

/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/23 07:27 PM

I agree that they missed out because there's a lot to learn through being in a (bad) relationship, and high school is a good time to learn. It's early enough that you get experience to prepare yourself for adulthood, but not too early that it doesn't matter at all. You still have to go a lot of pain, but it's better to learn before your prime.

Keep in mind that people are more likely to share negative experiences - they're less likely to tell you how great it is. Especially if you're single because that's kind of inconsiderate. Besides, facing adversity is often necessary for growth. The most emotionally mature people usually have a lot of experience making close bonds with people, not even necessarily a relationship. Personally, I would say I grew a lot after every serious relationship and situationship that I had.

Are men more willing to please their partner? Probably, I don't have any numbers or anything to argue against that. I dunno about using a survey here, though. The average Redditor would already fuck anything that walks. Now imagine the average man in PPD. It's not just a dry spell at that point, it's a whole ass desert. Many would do anything to get some. We were playing some party game (Never Have I Ever) and when the "body count" topic came up, I think his answer was somewhere between 15-30. So yeah, not a death sentence.

I agree that people should stop complaining, mainly because it's a self fulfilling prophecy. This isn't a gender specific thing. Constant complaining is not a desirable trait, especially if you're complaining about the same people you want attention from. If somebody compliments me or makes a move and I'm uninterested, I say thank you for their kindness but gently reject them. She said I "looked like one of her Tinder dates but wasn't sure" and I said no it wasn't me, but then she still kept talking to me. Abusive? Definitely not. Manipulative? Only in the short term, before they found out who you really are. It's usually not sustainable. That's why your examples say these people complain about their ex. It might've been better for a little bit but it clearly didn't work out in the end.

I do agree with you that physical attraction is one of the most important things in a relationship. Attractiveness will make your SO tolerate everything more, even if just slightly or subconsciously. There's some problems attractiveness won't fix much, though. Communication: They will be more patient but it's not suddenly going to teach you how to communicate like a mature adult if you've never learned how to. Availability: They might put in time to see you more but it's not going to make you an…

IMO university is a major privilege for meeting everybody, not just women. I'm very happy with the amount of friends I have but if you exclude college, I would be so fucked because that's like 95% of the people I want to talk to. I wouldn't have a gf and my only friends would be from high school that I would occasionally play video games with. Outside of that, pretty much just OLD for me. Like you said, I would only try something in my friend group / coworkers if they were like, marriage materia…

Nah, but IMO the numbers aren't as bad as a lot of people say it is here. I would guess that roughly like ~95% of people can find somebody they can be happy with. If you see yourself as a part of that small % that can't find anybody, you will ironically have a higher chance of being right, because it will often show.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/23 05:12 AM

Isn't that assuming you have an unlimited amount of guys lined up 24/7 and absolutely nothing goes wrong though? Like nobody argues, gets violent, ditches, stalls, etc, just pays immediately and leaves and then the next customer immediately shows up.

Whoops, my bad. I'm not sure why you're so angry, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 06:02 AM

I'm not "chad" but I don't really find it annoying. The thing is, men (usually) don't have to worry about women harassing, raping, or killing you. So I'm not going to compare my experience to a woman's.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 04:25 AM

Usually no, because On average, even considering STDs, drugs cause significantly more overall harm than sex Drug buyers are often manipulated or pushed into a corner where they feel like they need drugs because drug withdrawal can be hell, but you pretty much never need to have sex with a prostitute People aren't interchangeable with objects
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 04:15 AM

Prostitutes make roughly $27k a year. Not something to really be envious of. Even then, they should be mad at the men creating the demand in the first place, not at the women providing the service to survive.

I pretty much agree with everything here, but being bitter towards sex workers for making easy money is irrational because the vast majority make less than $145 per month. The top 1% take home about 33% of the money made on the entire website combined. So 99% of women cannot just "fall back" on sex work, you'll make almost nothing and you have to deal with the social stigma, with the chance of your next door neighbor or your relatives or your children's bullies finding out. Most guys don't know …

Yes, there are some women that like dirtbags or have unreasonably high standards, but I feel like the most common reason they're with assholes is because they didn't know they were like that at first, they have low self esteem, or are just being manipulated. Most people in abusive or toxic relationships didn't start out that way, it's usually a gradual decline. A lot of people hide their worst traits, you don't discover them until you live with them, or they even straight up lie. A friend of min…

One of my friends was swiping on Tinder in front of me to show me what it was like and I was appalled at the men's photos. Is the average participant here bitter? Yes, definitely. It's not exactly a reach to say that people that are more likely to come here have trouble with dating, and that obviously has correlation with being bitter towards women. ...I forgot the obvious solution of working on yourself because it's considered heresy here by a lot of people. Working out, learning social skills, maturing emotionally and mentally, even getting surgery are all valid. I agree with what you're getting at. If a women's standards are too high then that should be a them problem, not a man's problem. So what's the issue? Why would men be upset with the same women they want to hook up with or date? The problem to these upset men is that if there's too many women with higher standards than they "should" have, then it becomes a man's problem, because nobody will sleep with or be in a relationship with them. 90% of married couples marry in their own race. If you're not the same ethnicity as your tastes then yeah, you're going to have to appeal to a niche. That's not a white person unique thing. I'm in an Asian dominated area in the US and most Asian people are with other Asians, to nobody's surprise.

I do think there's a few unfortunate people that might have to settle with somebody they don't find attractive or risk being alone forever, but I think that's really rare. They would have to be some combination of really unattractive, uncharismatic, or unlucky. And once one considers themselves to be one of those people, their odds get worse. I think most everybody can be happy with somebody they at least find attractive, though.

Yeah, a lot of the most sensitive opinions often come from a place of trauma.
