Sure but this post is about age gap (older man) relationships. It gives the impression you’re giving a pass to men who are single in their 30’s either because they slept around in their 20’s or because building a serious relationship has not been important to them. Would you grant the same pass to women?

If we're worried about STD's, shouldn't everyone be selective about age (age implying body count)? By this logic shouldn't young women be equally concerned about STD's from older men? I really think this argument is a scapegoat for older women being viewed as "gross and used up".
/r/MensRights17/03/23 05:23 AM

Definitely. And part of the reason there are more singles in their 30's now than ever is because it's easier to leave abusers than in decades past. It's not all a bad thing.

I do think that outside the internet men's rights circles, those judgmental people are becoming fewer. But it's still stupid. They give themselves a pass for not having their shit together because their career is going well. Except, in my experience, a lot of those people don't have their careers together either 🤣 Just clowns.

And of course, many amazing people who are single because of shitty circumstances 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes. A lot of divorcees. I hate the undertone of this thread that men can sort of fuck around in their 20's, maybe have a less serious marriage, bring "baggage" and "STD's" into their new marriage as long as their career is going well. But women can't lmao. If a guy has put good faith effort into relationships before 35 and is now single, he's probably going to have baggage. If he has been single until 35, he has probably not done the interpersonal work to be a good partner to anyone of any age.…

Sure but there’s no reason you couldn’t do all that growth and accumulation without a spouse. If we’re making generalizations that women were leftover for a reason, the same can easily apply men.

It's not the safest option. The number of women assaulted by strangers is lower by total population than men because men go out alone much more often. If it were measured by assaults per 1000 outings it would be significantly higher for women. I don't know how many women you have in your life, but ask them how they feel about this. When I lived in a metropolitan area I walked and took public transit alone at night regularly. There was maybe one occasion in 7 years that I feared for my safety (ag…

You want so badly to be victimized you immediately compare women ignoring men on the subway to the holocaust. Don't straw man my argument. It's not hatred, it's safety. You're right, if I went through a black neighborhood I wasn't familiar with alone at night I probably would feel unsafe. That doesn't mean that I hate them. Women ignoring or being short with men while traveling alone has nothing to do with hate. Men aren't entitled to women's attention.
/r/MensRights14/09/22 05:13 AM

So you'd rather go as a woman. And if we're speaking statistically, who are you being attacked by, regardless of gender you think is safer?
/r/MensRights14/09/22 04:59 AM

What large city do you live closest to? Would you, hand to god, prefer to walk alone a mile downtown at midnight as a woman or a man? If man, why?
/r/MensRights14/09/22 12:54 AM
-10

Why call it cherry picking? It’s statistics. If 1 out of every 1000 men she meets on a late night commute would harm her, that’s plenty reason to not trust any of them. If every time she walks home she sees an average of 10 men, every 100 commutes she will get assaulted. Roughly twice per year. It’s probably safe to say that all women don’t even want to be assaulted once. So why would she trust any of the men on a dark walk home? It’s not women assaulting women on the streets. Be real.

I’m pretty suspect of this poll. It was conducted by Vox. The most recent Gallup poll has men 47% women 33% https://news.gallup.com/poll/244709/pro-choice-pro-life-2018-demographic-tables.aspx

The grouping of women doesn’t matter. Tolerance of rape against any woman is misogynist. The same way tolerance of rape against any man in misandrist.

Making women vulnerable to sexual violence by making a searchable registry of people who lie about rape, and justifying it by saying “girl cries wolf” is tolerance of rape against women. It is hatred because it is justice based on revenge, not behavior correction.

/r/MensRights22/07/22 05:39 AM

Of course not. But it’s not a sex crime. Sex crimes are defined: "a crime to knowingly cause another person to engage in an unwanted sexual act by force or threat". There are plenty of sentences fit for first world justice systems that are well beyond slaps on the wrist. Making accusers vulnerable to real sexual violence is not one of them. Revenge is a justice tool of the Taliban, not the United States.
/r/MensRights22/07/22 04:13 AM

So revenge is we’re looking for. Hallmarks of a first world justice system.
/r/MensRights21/07/22 07:16 PM

This comes up every few months and every time the answer is: it’s unfeasible because creating a registry on known liars of sexual violence makes them targets for real sexual violence.

Of course. But they aren’t absolute. From Webster: gender: the behavioral, cultural, or psychological traits typically associated with one sex. Gender is the expression associated to sex. Not the sex itself. But I don’t know why we’re arguing about this. That guy changed the topic to gender/sex in the same breath he said not to change the topic.

Men and women are two different genders. Males and females are two different sexes. If people are going to hyperventilate about biology, they should use biological terminology.

So let me get this straight. This guy filled out 400 job applications. At a lightening speed, half-assed job filling them out, he could do 10 minutes each. Maybe more for the tech jobs, less for the others. That would CONSERVATIVELY put the time in at 67 hours. All culminating in one little Reddit post? Surely someone taking on such a large project would want to make a bigger deal of it. A post at the beginning, updates, ending, conclusions. Not to mention it was a screenshot, not a link, and ha…

Some birth control is damn near 100%. Vasectomies are too, but they do fail occasionally. Sex is consent to pregnancy, not to having a child.
/r/MensRights26/06/22 03:44 PM

Exactly. And people will say “well she shouldn’t be having sex”. Much of it boils down to controlling women’s sexuality. I don’t want to live in a country where both women and men don’t have a right to have sex with consenting partners. We have the technology to safely prevent having unwanted children. Intentionally restricting access to that is about nothing but controlling people’s personal lives.

So a woman has responsibility in 99% of cases, but of those 99%, should half the blame fall on the men that chose to ejaculate in her? Or only punishment for the women

I think you're confused? I'm arguing against OP's claim and the article's claim that women and feminism discourage men from becoming heros, and vilify those that already are. I'm not saying that men who aren't courageous are assholes.
/r/MensRights04/06/22 10:22 PM

Didn't say they should. The title implies that it is women, feminism specifically, that is keeping men from courage. I'm saying that's not true because women support courageous men. They do not support assholes.

Yup, I promise if it would make the companies more money to charge women more than men, they would be doing it. They would have figured it out long before some buttfuck on Reddit. “Marriage is considered oppression by feminism” no it isn’t lmao. It is if you’re married to an asshole. Feminism wants to give you the freedom to leave if you’re married to an asshole. No woman in the history of the world having a hard time raising a kid thinks that the easy solution is to do it alone instead. Did feminism eradicate standards of sexual morality?? It seems like moral degradation would have to be a joint effort, wouldn’t it? The men who gave in to their supposed lasciviousness ar…

So they’re anti-marriage but also want to marry to take advantage of you or divorce and collect alimony/child support? 😂 That’s grasping at straws a little, don’t you think? 21st century men are just as averse to marriage, if not more-so than 21st century women. Feminism is about giving women a choice about whether they want to marry, rather than pressuring them into marriage which has been the status quo for centuries and still is in many parts of the country.
/r/MensRights06/06/21 04:30 AM

There are. And there are good men out there too. But I don’t think there are somehow less women “built for marriage”, whatever the fuck that means, than there are men like that guy is implying.

It’s just statistics. If 1% of people need emergency care, our hospitals get overrun. Many of them did and it affected those work forces, particularly men negatively. Health care worker suicide was at an all time high last year. It doesn’t matter what you think of the virus or how your friends feel.

This comes up on this sub every so often and the answer will always be: no, because then actual rapists will know where they live and commit a crime that the woman will have difficulty reporting credibly.

Late to the party, I’m sure this will get buried, but I don’t see anyone talking about the enormous gaping flaw with this idea; real predators will seek out women who are known liars and assault them. They will challenge the woman’s word if they are charged.
