| 1 | From one alpha to another...It's not about picking apart and/or degrading other people. I still have a lot of respect for people who I consider to be alpha-minuses or beta-pluses. | 0 | From one alpha to another...I don't think that asking for external validation makes you any less of an alpha, it's just a different style. Someone who does stuff without external motivation is more goal-oriented (and statistically more successful), but those who do thrive on external motivation (task-oriented folks, like myself) and achieve success do not inherently have that success tarnished by their m.o.
