You have to start somewhere man. I had a roommate in college and could barely afford rent and my car payment but I made it through just fine and I'm sure you could do the same.

He's saying it's his fault for getting into the college debt in the first place. If you get out of high school and want to be a pharmacist. You agree to pay the ungodly $150k degree to go to school to be a pharmacist. You get out, can't find a job as a pharmacist. Whose responsibility is it to pay the loan? And why/why not should they have to pay it?

True, but I said it's not that much more. As in, I know it's a little more difficult for some, sure. But not impossible. If you have any common sense, it's fairly easy.

Not sure how old you are, and I'm not trying to shit on you. When you go to college, you control on what you want to do and IF you want to pay. Most of the $100k degrees are for jobs making almost twice that (doctor/lawyer etc...). I'm an engineer, make more than that and my degree was around $45k so I agree that it's pretty much on YOU and it is your fault if you manage to rack up that much money in a degree.

Ok fair point. The point I'm trying to make is it's not that much more difficult (as the way man-childs today are putting it) in paying for school/house/family etc... than it was back then.

So this guy/girl is basing the fact they can't get a mortgage because their parent's house is worth almost 20x more? This argument is retarded. He/she also failed to mention the wage their parents were making in the 80's. Minimum wage was about $3 an hour (and now it's $10/$15). The value of the parent's house has nothing to do with anything. There are plenty of $100k +/- houses out there. I fall under Gen-Y so I'm not sure what this dipshit is complaining about.
