Are you ready to be a father right now? Do you know and like this girl enough to be fine with being inextricably tied to her for the foreseeable future? If the answer to both questions is not an enthusiastic yes, then just wrap it up.

I use OLD just to shoot my shot. I take mediocre pictures and my best feature is my sense of humor. So yeah I do better in real life. I get some matches but getting responses is like pulling teeth, usually if I get a snap, I get a date and things go well. Don't focus on all the matches you're not getting or the messages that don't get a reply, there's too many factors as to why that is. Focus on what works and put your energy into that. It's a numbers game so don't get down if it's been a week a…

She will tell you. If you don't trust her enough to believe that, the bare minimum, the relationship is doomed anyway. Cut your loses and work on your self esteem, so the next time a girl tells you she loves you, you believe her.

It cannot. You can depersonalize and 'lose yourself' but that's not ego death.

Spoken like someone who's never experienced ego death before. It ain't just "hurr durr I'm stoned and forgot my name lololol"

This is a joke right? Weed is nowhere near psychoactive enough to cause ego death. LSD and ketamine aren't even strong enough for it. You need a ton of shrooms plus sensory deprivation or dmt for that.

I'm usually in a group setting and they join the group, not necessarily approaching me, but it gives me opportunities to talk to them specifically.

This is great advice. Whenever I've gone out because I'm horny and want to pick up girls, it never pans out, but when I'm going out with friends and having legitimately good time, women seem to appear out of nowhere, doesn't always lead to sex, but get a number or an Instagram out of it and shoot your shot.

Hello friend! Am proud liberal (ie. Support Sanders or Warren over Biden), and I believe creepy Joe needs his day in court! I'm very far left, but I think men's rights are still just as important as women's rights, and are largely glossed over. This sub is very obviously right leaning, but even if we are a minority we are an important part of the movent. It discredits the movement when we get labeled as far right extremists who hate women. They're here (sorry guys but this subs quality tanked wi…

'legal paternal surrender' is the term I've heard for it. It's pretty well akin to an expecting-mother putting a baby up for adoption.

Online dating the girl will usually have a bio and/or some profile pics. If the bio is generic/non-existent look at the pics and see if you can find any possible common interests, even if it's just going to the beach or something. Online dating is harder imo because girls have a treasure trove of cock to pick from so you need to stand out. Just my 2¢

If you have to change her mind, she probably isn't the one for you. If you're good looking you should be able to find a girl who makes you feel the same way she does. Just keep your mind open and give more people a chance, some people take a while to open up so patience is key here. Sorry but imo it's time to move on.

Apparently mate. Subs ruined. Really don't want to switch over to r/menslib, r/egalitarianism is dead, and anything feminist related is just as toxic. But there's so much hate in this sub. Unironically correlating around the time if the incel ban/purge. God-damned shame because some of us aren't just bitter and want some rights we deserve.

He's not getting downvoted because people don't know he's joking. He's getting downvoted because he made an unfunny joke that is overtly transphobic with a sprinkle of racism and homophobia. Like i get it, it's strange to me too, I was born with a penis and I'm very confident that I am a man. However cultures change and not everyone feels that way. You don't have to understand it, just live your life and let them live theirs. This is supposed to be a place where we discuss men's rights, the righ…

To be frank I was beat as a child by my father, and later on as an adult by my girlfriend. Yeah it hurt more when my dad beat me, but the bruises and shit heal relatively quickly compared to the emotional and mental trauma of being assaulted by someone who is supposed to love you unconditionally. It's not a matter of force, it's a matter of helplessness. For instance as a kid I couldn't wait to be big and strong and hit my dad back, with my ex it was different I couldn't do anything it just felt…

1in6 did a video like that. People were reading written accounts of abuse and obviously the expectation was that they were written by women, some were quite to surprised to see the male victims come out, it was actually really touching.
/r/MensRights27/10/18 03:28 PM

It could be the source video and not their choice, unless I saw a trend idk if this is really a valid issue. I see the merit but this could easily be an isolated incident.

Iirc that's only in non-reciprocal abusive relationships. As far as the total number of victims go it's approximately a 40/60 split of men/women.

It's so fucked. It's apparent like half this community is mgtows and incels who just want another place to berate women. You're ruining something that had the potential to help a lot of men with your polarized cultism.

Which they have a right to do, because this is their site not ours. So it is up to us to report those users and up to the mods to ban them. It sucks that we can't vent but if it's that or losing this place as a whole, I think keeping this community together is worth it.

Agreed. People are outraged that the ban is happening and a private company is censoring things they don't approve of, which is ridiculous. They have the right to do so. In fact they almost have a responsibility to do so given how toxic some of these places are. You don't see anyone here complaining about r/gendercritical being on the chopping block, but I'm glad that place is getting the ban hammer. The more people keep replying the more I realize how complicated it would be to actually quantify the amount of boys raised by women. So as I said earlier I think the point stands on it's own and doesn't need a bullshit number next to it.
/r/MensRights25/08/18 07:11 PM
62

I don't know the actual statistics but I've heard half of marriages end in divorce (50% of boys) so that means women would have to get sole custody approximately 86% of the time, to reach 43%. I wish there were citations on the numbers, but I think the message rings true nonetheless, I understand her point.

False equivalence there my friend. Point of the the OC was that going to the gym (which OP may or may not actually need to do) will likely help in attracting female attention, not that it will necessarily make the gay men stop. Or even just going in with the mindset that men are trash. You're going to be predisposed to think negatively of their actions and question their motives at every step of the way. I'm sure they have personal experiences they can recount to you that we're simple matters of over thinking of miscommunication, but they're blinded by what they've been told to believe about men.

Don't forget schooling my dude. Boys (at least here in America) are falling behind drastically. They are the majority of high school drop outs and are far less likely to pursue higher education. Yet there a still thousands of grants and scholarships specifically for women even though they've out numbered men in higher education for years. That is actual systematic oppression, no patriarchy bullshit, the government is actually making it more difficult for men to get a degree. The only thing I don…

Right? Like it's not even a bad idea, but why on Earth would it only apply to women? Because men can 'handle' prison and women need to be pampered? I don't think either side would agree to that.

I can't believe there wasn't immediate full disclosure on all those messages. Perhaps the prosecution didn't do their due diligence and read the all the messages, but currently things are so bad with this shit we have to wonder if it was done with malicious intent. I agree there was no need to include the hashtags about women, the issue here is that public view of men is negative, not that the view on women is positive. I assume it's just to show that it is specifically a men's issue. As far as the women being treated as subhumans throughout history, please understand that this happened to men too, maybe not as egregiously but the power and wealth throughout history has always been held by a very small percent of aristocrats, oligarchies, and royalty, not …

Valid point! I'm not saying we should ignore the internalized demonization of men, I just think this is a bad way of going about it. If you look in the comments around, a lot of it is expression of negative emotions (not that that's unhealthy). I would much rather empathize with a SM post displaying one of us discussing the use of these terms with the people using them, only to be berated by #maletears and #fragilemasculinity, instead of showing the differentiation of search suggestions on a hea…

Not that this is permissable, but social media (especially Instagram) is kind of dominated by women. So what were you really expecting to find? It's not like the MSM is a bastion of love and acceptance for men. Looking at this type of shit is just looking for outrage and the more credence we give it the more harmful it is to men. Just write it off as shitty people being shitty and live your life, do your best to not be affected by this type of negativity. That's how we win as men.

Personally I don't like the MGTOW philosophy. I believe everything in life needs parity and I need women in my life. But I certainly don't pass any judgement on those who do feel that way because I can see very clearly why they do and it does make sense. But I could never go through with it.

That's actually not true in a lot of places if you cohabitate (usually for at least 6mo-1yr), a partner who has "disadvantaged" themselves by being in the relationship with you could be entitled to alimony. Which is fucked.

This is a forum for men to discuss men's issues. Of course it's going to be focused in favor of men, because well that's what we're all here for. The BBC employs writers, releases articles, etc... Next time you're around here try to casually mention your girlfriend, especially in a positive way. Hopefully she will read this signal and leave you alone. I'm aware that men are much more likely to be raped in prison (along with being much more likely to go to prison, for the same crimes) and are more likely to be sexually abused as children. But I've never seen a study that compounds all this information to see who is more likely to get raped. And tbh I was for something more concrete than an extrapolation.

/r/MensRights06/04/18 04:15 PM

I just wanted to exemplfy the fallacy of their logic, not trying to act smart. If we have the technology to help someone, why not use it? Both are personal choices, no one's forcing you to have sex, and no one's forcing you to smoke. Also if a someone died of cancer (a slow painful death at that) it would most certainly affect others, their friends, family, co-workers etc... So basically everything you said is incorrect.

I feel like this is felt on both sides. I support women's rights but as a man obviously I prioritize men's rights. I hate to sound like and echo chamber but this is so wrong. A bunch of uniformed extremists are going to tarnish their reputation forever. Poor guys were just having some fun, did everything right, and the world will remember them as rapists.
/r/MensRights29/03/18 08:03 PM

How can you be so sure it was rape without out actually knowing all the information? If all the court information isn't public, then who's to say that the jury was wrong? It's also appalling that the alleged victim remains anonymous even after all four men were found completely innocent with all charges dropped. These guys have had their names drug through the mud for weeks and someone who thinks you can retroactively withdraw consent and attempted to put them in jail, gets off scott free.

Drugging, kidnapping, rape, torture, and then murder over the course of 2-3 weeks against a 62 year old man doesn't sound like a life sentence to you?

Worked with a girl who would get black out drunk behind the line and get progressively more handsy all night. When she grabbed my dick I told the chef and owner that she was an alcoholic and all she's been doing. They told me I was lucky and should "hit that". It wasn't too uncomfortable for me (she wasn't unattractive just a shitty person) but it did bug me that if the roles reversed I probably would've gotten fired.
