/r/AskReddit thread about make rape victims sharing their experiences. Very disheartening to see the number of victims who were told "men can't be raped."The post is a link... | /r/MensRights | 21/04/17 05:17 PM

TFW your own national leader doesn't know the actual statistics of his pet cause.Me too. I'm not saying anything against what this sub stands for because I support it all. I'm just saying that it's called a narrative because that's what it is. The word gets used in a negative context a lot, I guess, but that doesn't change its meaning. | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 03:48 PM
| -16 | TFW your own national leader doesn't know the actual statistics of his pet cause.I'm sure you can find them if you try. I support the same idea as everyone else in this subreddit. I was just being pedantic. | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 06:52 AM |
| -8 | TFW your own national leader doesn't know the actual statistics of his pet cause.Regardless of its truth, its still supporting a narrative. He only chose stats that show bias against men. There are stats that show bias against women too, but he didn't show those because he's trying to make a point. Just because it's true doesn't mean it's not a narrative. | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 06:10 AM |
This University Cleared a Male Student of Rape, Then Re-Tried and Convicted Him Via Insane SystemI don't get that. It's a public school and it's a constitutional right (5th amendment). What gives them the right to take away those fundamental rights? | /r/MensRights | 06/04/16 06:50 PM
Woman had sex with underage boys, falsely accused them of rape, but the DA says the BOYS' conduct was 'reprehensible and wrong'You are correct, but a woman having sex with a minor still falls under "serious sexual assault." | /r/MensRights | 26/02/16 02:41 PM
Woman had sex with underage boys, falsely accused them of rape, but the DA says the BOYS' conduct was 'reprehensible and wrong'So the question is where do we cut it off? Mental development is different for literally everyone, so should we judge it case-by-case? That would take forever, and how can you scientifically determine if a person understands right and wrong? I wish it was super simple, but it's not. Minors get tried as adults for rape anyways, but the system doesn't work perfectly all the time. The important thing here is that they were falsely accused, so they didn't even do it. | /r/MensRights | 26/02/16 03:44 AM
Woman had sex with underage boys, falsely accused them of rape, but the DA says the BOYS' conduct was 'reprehensible and wrong'Oh yeah, I know the details of this one. I was just asking generally. | /r/MensRights | 25/02/16 08:41 PM
Woman had sex with underage boys, falsely accused them of rape, but the DA says the BOYS' conduct was 'reprehensible and wrong'It's worth noting that the kids in this case were 14 and 15 years old (that doesn't excuse them from rape, but it's definitely different than 17). I'm not really sure how the law works when a minor rapes an adult. It couldn't possible be still tried against the adult as statutory rape, could it? I guess the minor could be tried as an adult, but I don't know enough about it. | /r/MensRights | 25/02/16 08:21 PM
Woman had sex with underage boys, falsely accused them of rape, but the DA says the BOYS' conduct was 'reprehensible and wrong'Weren't the kids the victims of statutory rape? Under 16 in English law, which they all were. | /r/MensRights | 25/02/16 05:59 PM
Woman had sex with underage boys, falsely accused them of rape, but the DA says the BOYS' conduct was 'reprehensible and wrong'Apparently they are Edit: I searched UK but it gave me US, sorry. Here it is I think the relevant section: Young victims of rape and other serious sexual offences will have automatic anonymity subject to the provisions of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992. | /r/MensRights | 25/02/16 04:37 PM

Guy goes on feminist's talk show and defends us, leaving her speechless many timesYeah he's not a MRA, he's definitely anti-feminist. He brings up some valid points, but it really wasn't fair at all to bring someone unsuspecting and inexperienced onto his show to make himself look better. | /r/MensRights | 08/12/15 10:05 AM
Guy goes on feminist's talk show and defends us, leaving her speechless many timesYeah she's obviously not a very combative person, it seems almost unfair for him to bring her onto his show and then destroy her. | /r/MensRights | 08/12/15 10:02 AM
Guy goes on feminist's talk show and defends us, leaving her speechless many timesYeah there may be more, but the point is that it's wrong of him to generalize and say "all government employees are lazy slobs." Maybe a lot of them are, but there are obviously at least some who genuinely care about their job performance. | /r/MensRights | 08/12/15 09:59 AM

There can be no Male Spaces: Girls fight for their 'right' to join the Boy ScoutsIt shouldn't be different, and maybe if everyone could be that mature it would work out nicely, but your case example isn't how it's always going to work with every person. | /r/MensRights | 23/11/15 06:16 PM
There can be no Male Spaces: Girls fight for their 'right' to join the Boy ScoutsI'm curious as to what people think about this reasoning: I think gay people should be allowed to participate in the same activities as anyone, but one of the reasons Boy Scouts is separate from girls is to reduce relationship drama and sexual distraction to allow boys to focus on outdoor and life skills. Boys Scouts sleep in unsupervised tents together, and this could be solved by requiring single person tents, but that might alienate gay scouts from the rest of the troop. I don't think there's… | /r/MensRights | 23/11/15 05:15 PM

A mother who left her sick, three-month-old baby alone to die while she had a whiskey fuelled sex marathon with a man she met at a bus stop has avoided jail.I too was confused. Is prison somehow different than jail in this context or what actually happened with the sentencing? | /r/MensRights | 15/08/15 07:08 AM
A mother who left her sick, three-month-old baby alone to die while she had a whiskey fuelled sex marathon with a man she met at a bus stop has avoided jail.I think the point is that the post itself doesn't get at the fact that a man wouldn't have gotten away with it because just saying that is speculation. There are good examples of men going to jail for neglect in these comments that show this far better than the original post alone. | /r/MensRights | 15/08/15 07:07 AM
A mother who left her sick, three-month-old baby alone to die while she had a whiskey fuelled sex marathon with a man she met at a bus stop has avoided jail. This is a better example overall than the original post. The original post doesn't really show the trend all that well, just one example. | /r/MensRights | 15/08/15 07:02 AM
A mother who left her sick, three-month-old baby alone to die while she had a whiskey fuelled sex marathon with a man she met at a bus stop has avoided jail. While that may be the trend, this article is a single case. One woman didn't go to jail. The article alone doesn't prove that men go to jail for neglect and women don't. There are much better examples of articles that show the trend better in this comment thread. | /r/MensRights | 15/08/15 07:01 AM
This woman is literally a psycho (x-post from pussypassdenied, cringepics). I know a women like this, this is sad.To be fair, they've gone below -60 as of now, so I doubt that comment is representative of people here. | /r/MensRights | 13/08/15 08:56 AM
This woman is literally a psycho (x-post from pussypassdenied, cringepics). I know a women like this, this is sad.I think the major point is that we shouldn't let the movement be about hating feminists. Sure, lots of us do, but it's not about that. It's about making sure the public is aware of men's issues. | /r/MensRights | 13/08/15 08:51 AM
This woman is literally a psycho (x-post from pussypassdenied, cringepics). I know a women like this, this is sad. You're totally right here. Part of the reason we don't see feminists that agree with a men's movement is that the feminists we do hear, being the loud ones, are often radical and non-representative of the whole of feminism. For example I know a non-vocal feminist that supports selective-service for women. She seemed very egalitarian when I challenged her on things that seemed weighted in women's favor. | /r/MensRights | 13/08/15 08:47 AM

'Feminist hero' who publicly shamed Tinder date for voicing his body-type preference is a hypocrite. Women are just as vocal. Not to mention that disgust is usually a hardwired reaction and not something people get to choose. eg. I can tell myself all day that eating an insect is the same as eating other food, but I just can't bring myself to do it because it disgusts me physically. | /r/MensRights | 14/07/15 02:01 AM
Misogynist Tantrum Officially Drives Ellen Pao from Reddit (screen shots)What brought you here? Hypocrisy mostly. Feminists who preach equality while upholding ideals that work in their favor and are certainly not equal, affirmative action, etc. Edit: Nothing in my personal life, really, if that's what you're asking. | /r/MensRights | 12/07/15 03:37 AM
