Why is it your job to listen while pretending that you have a head injury, or that all these problems are magically unsolvable? Maybe the male brain genuinely works differently, and if she wants input from a female brain, she should find one. You are her husband. You are not her girlfriend.

Man I appreciate your gracious reply. Thank you for your civility. Having said that, they are definitely both consenting adults, so I don't take your meaning about that part of the statement being dishonest? I just don't see lasting harm based on this interaction. I'm tired of seeing people go to jail or lose access to jobs and other necessary parts of modern life for accusations that whether baseless or not, surround incidents that don't merit the harm to the accused. That's really all I'm sayi…

Part of our societal problem is that normal and playful interactions between the sexes have been mislabeled as toxic or harmful. As a human with a life and responsibilities, this interaction between consenting adults seems entirely like fodder for the terminally online.

Yep..Basically any substantial change in the structure causes her to reevaluate whether she's getting the best possible option delivered to her at that time. So if you get a chubby, and she loses a few kilos, she'll have to decide if you still make the cut. Same if you get injured or ill, or fall on financial hard times. It's why marriage is a terrible idea. In marriage, he exists to provide stability and resources for her, but if he should need to draw down on security or resources, the marriag…

Sorry all of that happened brother. Sounds fucking traumatic as hell and you're totally right to be fucked up about it all. Give her nothing in future interactions. No emotion. Not even unnecessary words. Trade nothing. Offer nothing. Want nothing from her. It's all fuckin soiled. She does not exist.

You're gonna see a bunch of comments saying "you shouldn't have done x" and "you should've done y".... But none of it matters. Set your life up so you are the focus, and let the women come and go. Don't look for "the one", and stop trying to figure out how to control them. Recognize that no matter how well you vett, the person that you're vetting is unlikely to exist in 10 years. Be "the one" and let everything else be someone else's problem. You are the only constant. Invest in that.

Litigious, hyper masculine middle-aged female seeks wealthy man with movie star good looks and genius level intellect for financial and emotional sodomy. Believers in science need not apply.

This thread is 8 hours of as I write this, so this is directed more to the commenters than to the original poster... But JFC. You guys are romanticizing this shit like a Disney movie, and that is exactly how you get fucked, and I don't mean the good kind of fucked. The societal structure that allows for stable and monogamous family relationships no longer (I can't speak to elsewhere) exists in North America. They are hypergamous by nature, you're not going to train that out of them. I am old eno…

Bro. Don't even give an explanation. Just drop this. She's a shit-salad of stupid. No loss. And don't wait. She doesn't get to fuck with you, just ghost and move on.

As a guy that was married 19 years and wound up paying approximately 500k over the next 10 YEARS in settlement of assets and child support TO A WOMAN THAT WAS PORKING A NEIGHBOR embrace this shit. Do not marry. Do not cohabitate in a common law area. Protect yourself. You can get a vasectomy for less than the cost of one months child support for one child. It is what it is.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
