This why all these stats are pointless (an unwelcomed view for sure here). She's trying to live her own twilight fantasy: two guys fighting over her. You have two choices: Go along with it, knowing that as soon as she feels you aren't "fighting" to keep her, she's going to go out whoring for male attention so she can feel like a prize. Dump her. Either she comes crawling back to you and fights to get you back, or she falls back on her Plan-B guy.

While it started out with good intentions (i.e. read up what is already there and work on the basics before anything else), I agree it has become quite a toxic "let's beatdown on the new guy"/"demonstrate superiority" most of the time these days. Really successful men I've met in real life have never sought conflict out when there is nothing to gain or to defend. They're usually polite and if they're not willing to help, they're just unavailable. Picking fights is usually reserved for those who …

Lol that is a far better use of time than stalking someone's posting history

That actually makes a lot of sense and is more balanced than most theories I've read here

got to second this. if anyone does this to a partner, he's a total faggot or she's a controlling bitch. nobody cares that your way is the "best way". shut your trap and let her learn and do things her way. totally stifling her oxygen ffs, i would pity your children if you ever procreate.

I know what I want now, a bit too late, to not cause collateral damage. Unfortunately, it means excluding people from it. People who I've invited in and who invested in it :(

Thanks. I agree a lot with what you guys say. The only problem we can solve is ourselves. So no need to harp upon what the world is. Yes, you're right that I'm in control. Those three options are up there for me to choose, and I guess I am a coward in not being able to decide which: 1. To leave for my happiness, and to live with the guilt of ruining the life of someone I love 2. To live with my mistake and pay for it with staying in the relationship. 3 isn't really much of an option because you …

Thanks! It has been a really good read, and I discovered so much about myself from it. I think it describes like 90% of my issues, not only wrt relationships, but how it affects me socially and professionally too.

thanks for the link. the comment there about health vs love of beer put it in perspective. i don’t profess to be different of course. i’m sure many men face this same problem. just that it’s not the other half of the “my wife is not giving me sex” problem. i would be a lot happier out of any marriage (young and stupid then), but i feel guilty if i get out of it.

The problem is my wife isn’t searching for another tiger. I’m searching for another. I can’t contain myself from searching for more. This is not the typical MRP problem I realize

I do agree with your three options. Thanks for pointing out the third. The only problem is I’m afraid to face the consequences of them. 1-Fool around on the side. I’m going to get caught again. She has installed gps tracker on my phone, limited freedom for me during evenings and weekends. And she’s going to be more and more mistrusting and snooping. 2-I wasted the best years of her youth. And I feel immeasurable guilt for that. Especially in an Asian society where women’s youth is highly valued …

insights, experiences, solutions (no perfect ones i’m sure) but perhaps something to enable me to gain a new perspective. making her happy for the short term would just be postponing the problem, as i have done the previous times i got caught.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
