And neither would they to you. It's a trade, it's like you expect access to her pussy with nothing in return from you. Nah, I don't. She's just not getting anything in exchange for it, that time has come and gone. Do you have no male friends? They come running to your aid. Nah, no one cares what happens to men Pure selfishness betrays you above all else. Nah, being helpful or useful to others just leads to people who will try to use you for it for as little in return as they can get away with.

Abundance mentality and being free to give where you can and desire is what high value masculine men do. I won't give to people who wouldn't give to me if I otherwise didn't have [thing that they wanted]. What is the point of only developing for yourself? I don't care about society, the group etc. However, I do know that as a male, no one's going to come galloping to my aid. So if I develop, it's only as far as I need and I'm interested in.

MGTOW isn't fighting anything, it's about leaving something that doesn't work for men. It's like shopping at a store. If they sell things you want at prices you like, you go and buy, if they don't, you don't.

Never really thought about it, but I guess there's a degree of shaming in demonizing a guy for not wanting to be friendly with someone he wants to fuck but won't fuck him back.

But if you want X and X is attracted to Y, developing Y as is in line with yourself is wisdom. I wouldn't give that Y to X because that Y is for me and me alone. If X wanted the Y, they had their chance. Make yourself valuable. Nah, I'd keep my value for myself, it's not for them.

It's probably more pleasurable than me. I don't really care. Exciting, I dunno, years of inceldom and porn means I have tons of pent-up creativity and savagery waiting to be uncaged. But if she happen to find it more exciting than me, she'd better not complain when I hit up porn because it's more exciting than she is.

Exerting dominance or to keep someone emotionally out of control in line. Otherwise, a lot of bullies would never get women, instead of having no problems getting women.

You are incapable of learning, growing, and making yourself better right? You can never make more money, up your social skills, give freely of yourself, become more, yeah? I if do that, it's for me and my own interests, not for someone else's sake You put women above you and thus create the false league you hold yourself down with. I wasn't born with supermodel good looks and I'm not going to go earn a pHd just for a certain league of pussy

Reddit doesn't make me feel dumb, it makes me feel thankful to be alive. Any question I can think of, I can ask, and rather than a dry encyclopedia entry (though I like those too), multiple people who not only know the answer but experienced the answer will tell me about it, from experts in the field to students learning the cutting edge. No one person knows everything, and smart people know that to know more about something, you need to go to people who know more than you in the first place. In…

He had a track record as he had divorced twice before. This is the red flag. And generally, having a child with someone you don't stay with is an indicator of someone who makes poor long-term choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/17 05:44 AM

Okay so here's the thing. Our social structures in the west are designed to have an ever increasing amount of people putting into the system. In a perfect world, everyone needs to couple-up, have two children, and then some have three. Every western country except America is producing far less than that. America is maintaining birthrates because it turns out illegal Mexicans are more likely to be poor and religious/not use birth control, both markers of people who have a high amount of kids, so …

A lot of the anger comes from expectation that [thing] will work (especially because it's a thing that women say themselves) and then when it doesn't work, everyone blames them for it not working and then shames them when they get mad about it. A good amount of the anger too is the "women are wonderful" shit where we automatically assume girls are good people who make smart decisions. I think we just need to tell boys growing up that women will idealize shitty men if they're attracted to them, a…

The people who complain about it are people who benefit from it. Society benefits when men are working their hardest and men primarily work their hardest when they're doing it for women and families. Men Going Their Own Way need much less resources to look after themselves, don't have children (our social systems are based on more children being born than there are old people), won't be socially active or active in their communities, won't be contributing as much tax money to maintain infrastruc…

This would be fine, except whenever any kind of movement about males not needing females anymore, or things like sex robots that would lower women's power to demand anything of males comes up, a high pitched shriek and angry shaming ensues. Women still want us invested, they just don't want to have to offer anything of value to us while we continue to work for their benefit.

Marriage is a pretty bad deal for us unless we get things like sexual exclusivity, financial safety and emotional safety for our children out of it. It's hard to attract and keep women for most of us, so we want to attract and keep a good one who's worth the sacrifices and work and risk Most modern women don't offer any of that, and to top it off, demand more from the modern man than ever before. And if we bring it up, they have this feminism thing to shout about misogyny and turn us into the ba…

It's correct. The internet has opened us up to alpha fux/beta bux, and being the beta bux is a humiliating, disgusting, emasculating thing. It proves that working hard for the sake of the woman will be rewarded with divorce, lost money, lost children, and less sex than a guy who did barely any of the work for it. Most of us would rather be working hard for the sake of something you build together, but the risk of losing it all to someone woman's irresponsible whims is too much. TRP as a reaction…

I made a MGTOW joke earlier in the thread but: Resentment comes from unmet expectations. You expected women to be like [this] but instead they are like [that], and [that] is shittier for you than [this]. You're still young enough to realize this, internalize this, and not get caught up in it. Do things you like to do. Don't make yourself available to women if things get better for you because you remember when they didn't give a single shit about you before. Don't fix their problems for them, do…

Nono, I do believe some women do genuinely and legitimately like nerd stuff. It's just that a lot more of them who are currently into it are only into it because guys will otherwise ignore them or it's trendy to be. It may be hard to fake nerd stuff, but it's not harder than men choosing something else instead of women to a lot of women. And I actually do know a few who faked it for years, and that was before it was trendy. Just imagine what it's like now.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/17 09:49 PM

I genuinely feel bad for you. Nah, you don't. You just feel bad for whatever woman who would've used me as a soft-landing pad if I had actually bought into it.

me getting angry at your wimpy ass statement is entitled? I can get angry. so what? I'm angry because I feel bad for you. Nah, you don't care about me or people like me. Don't you want to be a masculine man? Nope. If you're not Chad, that's a bad deal. Considering how undercover nerdy women handle things, you might be overstating how much they need to talk about their nerdy things, especially if a Chad or higher social-status man is around.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/17 08:53 PM
1

Call of Duty and Marvel movies or whatever other faux-nerdy thing that modern day Chads do. I think nerdy women do want Chad, and they're not too worried about "what they'll talk about" because they have friends (and maybe orbiters) for that
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/17 08:46 PM
1

Because you get vomit-angry at the idea that women fucking bad boys is a negative (it is), but demand that a REAL man be masculine this and that. That's just classic, entitled womanspeak. (Actually you're apparently in NYC, so that makes even more sense. Some of the most entitled, gold-digging women in the world who are not having a lot of luck finding people to deal with their bullshit)
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/17 08:44 PM
1

Please, you're basically just saying "men should take responsibility for themselves" and out of the other side of your mouth, saying "women don't have to take responsibility for their actions." Classic modern-day entitled woman attitude, that is turning large amounts of men off of even bothering with modern women.

The Chads they've always wanted, or that he's more socially impressive than the nerdy guys are. A lot of nerd hobbies are solitary too, it's unnecessary for non-nerdy guys to like what nerdy girls like.

that's pretty rich. I can smell MGTOWs bitterness a mile away. Those dudes look nonchalant until you scratch the surface. They are angry af. Only when those women try to shame them into being beta providers/janitors to clean up their life mess for them. Women can't stand it when men decide to not bother with them at all. I am not mad at women for sleeping with bad boys, I am mad at you for blaming women for sleeping with the bad boys. THAT's what's vomit inducing. Take some responsibility for yo…

Nah, there's no gain to be made in the first place. We have more to lose from letting trendy casuals in than we don't Fortunately for nerdy girls, not all nerdy guys think like you. You mean fortunately for nerdy girls, nerdy guys are a minority and there's tons of other guys around.

nope. Have a life of your OWN, one that isn't fixated on thoughts like, "will women fuck me if I do this or that with my life", will actually make you into a truly masculine man, not those scared MGTOWs. Nah, MGTOW is living your OWN life without caring about women at all. If you want to fuck a bunch of desperate housewives, no one is stopping you. Knock yourself out with the low hanging fruit. But don't for one second pretend that they "made you do it." They don't want us unless we're Chad, any…

I'm 33, I've been playing video games since the 80s, there have always been women in the scene. Not as many as there are now sure, That right there is the key. I grew up with women who gamed, but most of them didn't. Maybe instead of being bitter and distrusting an entire group of people, you could instead become part of the solution and create a positive community anyone can be a part of. Absolutely not. I suffered for liking these things, I have no interest in making it easy for trendy people …

Real women don't go there. Yeah, they do. Living, breathing women do go there all the time, even when they already have b/f's or husbands. ;) Just be a masculine man with his OWN life. That's called MGTOW, and women hate that too.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/17 08:12 PM

Why take it out on the women who do like nerdy things? Because we don't believe you as a group. Women en masse only showed up to nerdy things when it became trendy and when they realized that men would choose some of those nerdy things (video games) over nagging girls no matter how hot they are. You wish more women liked nerdy things yet you admit you actively push them away. I would say "we" don't (I don't know about younger nerds, but I think it's true for my age-group). Who do you think guys learned that behaviour from? Surely not the women who hate nerdy guys.

You can thank your fellow women for that one.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/17 07:43 PM

The male to female ratio is so tilted for nerdy women that they'd still be plenty visible even if "not super attractive" etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/17 07:33 PM

Behaviour is learned. Nerdy women should blame fellow women for anything, they're the ones who created most of their problems in the first place

Sure they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/17 07:24 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/17 07:24 PM

Two things happened: 1) Most guys started gaming, women couldn't shame or ignore it anymore because guys will choose video games over naggy girls 2) Phone games and facebook games became popular.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/17 07:23 PM
1

And if any of that was true, women wouldn't fuck bad boys/criminals etc, but they still do. So, no. Your justification for women rewarding shitty things and expecting men to go along with it just fine is weak.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/17 07:22 PM

That's why even though I don't like the word, "cuck" comes to mind. You'd rather be humiliated by giving up a lot and getting very little in return than getting nothing.

Yes, yes it was. It was built specifically by women and their reaction and rejection to me, and seeing how women operated in relationships I saw growing up. What do you want out of women? To either be wanted for being me, or to not have my time wasted by them. The point of my post was to say, "Drop your mythology, it's just wrong. When women see this: that you're authentically trying to help them reach their highest happiness, they go completely out of their way to do the same for you. This level of reciprocity is built in to their nature. No, it isn't. They are the choosers and gatekeepers, and modern women are super entitled. What I'm saying is that it's the principal motivator. Not everyone reacts to motivation the same way, not everyone is 100% certain about where the "line" is for reaching that motivation, not everyone cares where the line is. Some men are fine and reach a good spot with it, some aren't, and it's the ones that aren't are the ones who get complained about, or told to change their ways, but they're being told to change their ways by the people who are encouraging those ways in the first place. But w…

Is this your way of saying ideas of masculinity are still lingering and having negative effects? They didn't have freedom to be whatever appeals to gay men, so they had to pretend to appeal to what appeals to women in order to fit in. Toxic straightness?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/17 07:39 PM

Shit, gay men still felt pressure to show they are 'manly men'. To be fair, it's only been recently that they've been allowed to freely live in a world where they weren't expected to hide behind the facade of being a straight man appealing to straight women. So this concern isn't in the mind of that guy when he's getting ribbed on, he just wants the approval of his friends. He may not care one bit about the bitches. Maybe if he's in high school? Or even middle school? The approval of other men r…

Well, put it this way: If a man catches his wife or g/f cheating with another man, he might kill that other man in a rage. Men still take the risk to fuck her anyways. If men are willing to risk their lives for pussy, doing anything else for pussy is pretty small-potatoes, or doing anything for any other reason is even smaller potatoes. I don't discount that men do things for other reasons, but the primary and overarching motivating factor is vaginas.

You're being too literal. Parents generally want their kids to be good adults, and adult women want/reward unemotional men, so they're going to teach them that "boys don't cry" to make sure they become a good adult male.

If there isn't pussy as a reward for the behaviour, men wouldn't bother with behaviour that gets labeled as "toxic masculinity." "men not going to the doctor for fear of being ridiculed" It's due to showing weakness, because women find weakness in men unattractive, so an overly competitive man will try to show he is the toughest and doesn't show weakness, lest he lose face and/or potential access to the women who reward toughness with their vaginas. Lastly, boys with no real masculinity at all (…

/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/17 04:21 AM

I said it if it's "serious." Most locker-room talk is just banter. I think you're confusing status itself as what women find attractive instead of the qualities that led a man to that status. They're the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/17 04:12 AM
0

Earning status and recognition of being further up on the hierarchy means women are going to react better to the guy, because more people listen to him or think he's cool, making him more "powerful." And that's only if anyone takes lockerroom talk seriously. That shit's mostly just dumb banter, no one really believes it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/17 03:54 AM
1

What? Have you never seen, or been a part of, a group of guys shit-talking each other? Sure have. If it's serious and not just for laughs, then they're trying to establish dominance and/or hierarchy... which leads to more women. Who do you think locker room talk is for? Trying to sound cool to earn status, to get women.

A daddy-issues girl is never going to feel safe. She never received that structure from her father as a child, and no matter how strong your frame is, her ability to outlast and wear that down is endless and relentless.

Men are already on the receiving end, we know no one's going to gallop to our rescue if something's happening to us. We're just paying it forward (by not paying it forward) and giving women what they want, equal treatment.

"Trouble" is never a safe situation. Someone could be packing and not know it until you intervene.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/17 08:41 PM

I made the distinction. A normal shit-test is just a thing you have to pass once in awhile, a daddy-issues girl with a shit-test is something you have to pass every day, all the time, relentlessly, until you inevitably fail it because no one is "on" in every single situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/17 08:19 PM

Disagree. A regular person, once you set a boundary, they're only going to accidentally bump up against it once in awhile but will make efforts to avoid it. A daddy-issues girl is going to poke, prod, needle and relentlessly hammer up against the boundary all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/17 08:15 PM

I don't agree. We don't get anything out of it socially, you can't be certain of the situation beforehand and if you're assisting the "wrong" party, and you never know when it could cost you your life.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/17 08:04 PM

You never know when something like that can cost you your life. You also don't know the full situation, who started it etc. You could be assisting the person in the wrong. More specifically re:protecting random women, we're not getting anything out of it, so nah.

As a '90s kid, I find it kind of funny arguing about things like this. When I was a kid, any man who was well-dressed and groomed was considered gay (when gay was a bad thing socially). The post you linked is a valuation. "Women are not worth it, so only use them for sex. Don't bother getting to know them, don't go any deeper, just use them to get off." Nowhere is that calling for violence, legalized oppression or segregation. The only part of that that's maybe hate speech is the domestic violence part, and that would require argument to prove it. 1: How can men become smooth? It's about comfort. When you're comfortable, you're not worried about fucking up. Smooth isn't necessarily "do everything perfectly" but "act like fucking up isn't a big deal if it happens." 4: There's still hope for guys like me who are a bit further to the left on the bell-curve, though, right? Yup. Think about those painful/awkward/uncomfortable pauses in the conversation that happen all the time when you live a boring life; they will no longer happen once you're…

Why I don't go full red: I don't really want it to be true Even if it's true, I don't value a lot of that stuff anyways. Why I don't go full blue: Seen a few too many divorces and negative situations Also had bad experiences with feminists, both with their attitudes and how they justified the attractions of women while downplaying the same reasons for men.

Would you want a woman who shows "vulnerability" to every other male to show you vulnerability? It doesn't matter to me either way, women are allowed to show vulnerability. It takes vulnerability to flirt It really doesn't, a lot of girls do that for fun
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/17 09:41 PM

If for whatever reason the man takes advantage/rejects her she can't just move on to the next guy and display her vulnerability again Yes, she can. Because women are allowed to show vulnerability.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/17 09:15 PM

Difference, women have entire mainstream social movements advocating for that and them. And no, not because they were nice, but to stop positively reinforcing criminal behaviour or shitty and bullying behaviour.

Feminism is trying to shame men into doing just that anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/17 08:30 PM

Not a prize, it's positive reinforcement. It's saying "keep doing this, because even though it's a shitty thing you're doing, we're still going to reward it." As long as that keeps happening, men are going to continue turning towards things like TRP.

I only think it's unhealthy if you physically start stalking someone. Otherwise I'd just say it's a waste of energy and emotions. It's easy to transfer the feeling of obsession to someone else or just shut it off entirely, and it's easy to "follow" people now because of social media.

In fact, the desperate level of thirst of men for women today directly contradicts this assumption. You're mis-reading. We're not thirsty because women are hard-to-get strong-and-independent, we're thirsty because we have dicks and feminism teaches women that being a slut is empowering. Once difficulty or disagreeableness enters the equation, we're way less interested because it's too much work for too little guaranteed outcome.

Attractive girl or childhood friend slowly grows in love with some guy possibly devoid of personality for reasons that don't seem convincing to normal people or especially RPers. It's a personality conflict. Adventurous is risk-taking, stable guys aren't very adventurous, they're too busy building on their stability. It is too much to ask, women just don't understand this because the burden of being stable and adventurous doesn't fall on them. It's basic entitlement.

Men without access to women leads to a more dangerous and violent society. Except video tape was found afterwards and it turns out she was absolutely in on it, people were just more likely to believe she wasn't because she's a woman, and the fact that she was with an evil man was enough…

It's more that we have different definitions of assholes. For guys, assholes are bad people, people who are bullies, commit crimes, lie and cheat etc. For women, assholes are guys who give them unwanted attention. It's fine if they're criminals (as long as the woman themselves aren't the target of the crimes), it's fine if they lie and cheat (as long as it's not to her), are bullies etc

Physical crime is risky and women aren't socialized or equipped to do as much violent or risky behaviour, unless a man is coming along for it.

Yeah, but most of that money still is in the hands of men, and women of all types flock to rich men more than non-rich men flock to rich women.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/17 10:08 AM

Rich men can still get away with more than western women as a whole can. Part of it is because women let them, part of it is because lots of money and protecting high-status goes farther than even a lot of women's ability to punish can go.

One thing I notice and like in Japanese cartoons is that female characters, even badass asskickers, are still allowed to feminine and it's not considered a negative, it's just considered normal. If they did that here, there'd be screeching to the high heavens.

There's that cliche where if she's not happy, you're not happy. Notice that there's not a cliche the other way around, it really doesn't matter if the guy is happy at all. The marriage might have functioned perfectly for her, but we don't know his side of the story.

"Just be yourself" only works if you're an extrovert and you're otherwise holding back on traits or behaviour that people would consider cool. People who generally give the "be yourself" advice are people where "being themselves" just meant being a cool normie (even among geek circles, there's chic geek, which is a normie who happens to casually like some nerdy thing, and the actual geeks, the autists who go way too into the details), so of course it was successful advice for them. Star Trek. Star Trek TNG. Star Trek DS9. Star Trek Voyager. Dragon Ball Z. Various other anime. Drew Carey show but I forget when that was. So yeah. I think some "nice guys" are assholes, but not all of them. The asshole nice guys have been lumped in with the actual nice guys to the point where the actual nice guys are deciding to be assholes because if they're going to called it anyways, they might as well go along with it. And since women actually reward actual asshole behaviour, they may even get rewarded for it. Good one, women.

You "solve" it by making it worthwhile to men. For some guys, having a kid or passing along the family name is worthwhile enough, but that isn't enough anymore for a lot of guys. A full day sounds a little long, but it's normal. The time immediately after is called the refractory period. Also depending on your sex drive, a lack of interest afterwards is probably normal. Your body is satisfied that it has spread the seed, interest in lust/women etc will go back up once your body hasn't had any for however long is normal for you to recover from it.

I think feminism implies that they're least well-off of the two genders. It creates a bit of a problem because women do have privileges that men don't, but mainstream feminism seems to teach that women are always the victims and each individual man is always better off. Unless you can go so far as to say, "if women lower their standards, relationships will be happier and last longer" I don't think that it's something that needs to be pushed for. Maybe they should adjust to changing social dynamics, which involves having to lower their standards, much like men do.

Most of us found flirting came naturally, and any improvement was in the area of losing our inhibitions + style and safety pointers. This is why getting advice from normies tends to be useless. And perhaps why people can't understand why others go for TRP. TRP actually offers practical advice in terms men who have a lot of problems understand, normies can't really see beyond their own experience because it was never too difficult for them in the first place.

They would be more demanding, because they no longer "need" women to have sex, throwing away one of the major reasons men chase women in the first place. You can absolutely have a great marriage, but you have to be attractive first. There's a ton of hard work you will have to do for your entire life to have a good marriage. And there are a ton of fun cute women who badly want a good marriage as well. And if you falter in that hard work, you're going to lose …

It's almost asking to get cheated on. I'm not rich at all, but if her money is a significant part of our lives, she can hold it over me whenever she does whatever she wants to do. Also generally women use themselves as the bar, I would be below a rich woman's "bar" as a non-rich, non-alpha, non-attractive man, and I don't trust that kind of thing to be okay with a woman indefinitely. Also, depending on the kind of rich, if they like going to high class restaurants or hob-nobbing with their socia…

So men who want to be alpha, which basically means be attractive, are getting sucked into ideas like all women are divorce raping abusers who will always cheat and leave you for another guy, because they have to actually provide value to their girlfriend if they want her to still want to be their girlfriend? Not quite. The idea is that women overvalue themselves, and because they are the gatekeepers to sex (something that men do want), they can afford to demand more, dole out less in return, and…

(anyone wants to date rich, not just women) I wouldn't want to date a rich woman.

If this alpha is working but not too hard then how is he getting "it" for free? And what do you even mean by it? A sexual encounter? Higher quality sexual encounters, basically the "best" of a woman without having to deal with her worst (her entitlement, her demands, her problems and drama etc) not even wife, left him for another man after he lost his job, his house, his car, and turned into a total loser. In older times, she would've been more likely to stick by him as he figured out how to get…

I don't live in a big city. If they made what they made here in a big city, they'd be lucky to live in a condo (Unless that big city was Toronto or Vancouver, then they're just not owning anything)

Other way around. The alpha doesn't has to work too hard to get it for free from a woman, and arguably is not even expected to stick around. He's getting it for free. A beta has to constantly maintain whatever it is that's keeping her around or she'll leave him and won't otherwise be interested in him at all. He has to work harder for what the alpha gets for free.

I know a few middle class (or even lower middle class) people it's happened to. Though, I will say, they were comfortably middle class/lower middle class, in that they didn't have the same lack of middle class job security that people today have issues with, and they more or less owned their homes.

You just have to be younger than him by a more than normal amount.

I don't think it quite works like that for men, youth isn't as important to women as things like money, game and social status are, which you don't need youth to possess (and likely won't have in your youth).

And they get super confused because providing for a woman isn't the same thing as being attractive. A beta is someone who's used for their money but would otherwise be considered unattractive by the woman using him. An alpha is someone who gets it for free.

And barely any women were into him when he was alive (though again, the whole gay thing probably played into that)

I almost threw up after reading "My Friend Dahmer" because it gave a sense that he was a fucked up person but a ton of people sort of just ignored it instead of directing him to somewhere that could've potentially helped him.

After wiki'ing a few of those, it makes a little thankful that forensic science probably makes those kinds of sprees a little more difficult these days.

The somewhat tragic thing about him is that if he was born a little later, and grew up during the era with the internet and when homosexuality was a little more accepted, he might've ended up being fine. Part of his cannibalism was based on a deep fear of being abandoned or left alone, which he probably would've been able to form close relationships with gay men in a world like ours. But he also had a gore fetish (and not just a "fetish" as a weird interest, but a fetish in that it's one of the …

Yeah, but we can't really prove either. And women are more likely to say the socially acceptable thing than the things they're really feeling, so you can't even trust them to know if enough of TRP works or not

It's apparently worked well enough to get a number of men what they want, so I'm not sure it is necessarily a step in the wrong direction.

He was also gay, so you don't have that working for you either

No, he wouldn't. Men don't need women to be able to build status, he can likely get the things he wants without needing her extra wallet (kids being the one difficulty). It's also a lot easier for a woman to decide a man isn't equal to her, so a man isn't going to go for his equal, he's going to go for someone who's below him to give himself some protective leeway
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/17 11:08 PM

She wouldn't be using him for money, but she'd still be using him for other things (status/extra wallet to get to the lifestyle she wants etc) and more demanding of him than the younger woman would be. That's not "peaceful."

That's how people end up divorced or cheated on, by assuming everything's fine and everyone's a good person who would never do that.

I think enough of them are "like that" that you should assume they are from the start and then be pleasantly surprised if they're not.

Expect that people can leave you, you don't own them. It's wasted work, money (especially if you get hosed in a divorce) and time if someone leaves you. Men like building things that last, not building things that are temporary. If the idea is that it will fall apart if you build it, they won't bother building it in the first place, or they'll do a shoddy job because who cares, it's going to fall apart anyways. It's the opposite of a motivator.

Seems almost self-defeating, their standards start to go up just as their ability to command high-standards starts to go down.
