very little thinking involved Old comment but I'll say this anyway. This is a pretty big statement, and a good way to push us out. It's made a certain way. You think people here would be asking how to get out of it if they could just *think * about the fallacies and then get on with things? You think they would move to an im perfect alternate view of the world if they didn't hate aspects of the current state of affairs culturally? You think nobody found these alternate viewpoints, questioned it,…

So this was sarcastic and rude. I'm sorry.

I've been opening myself up to people about this for over a year now. I'll continue to do so.I feel it's more complex than just not believing in people, because I feel that I've come to. I'll keep trying, I guess

I can't get therapy because work has me traveling and I'd suffer occupational by getting it. I'd have dropped several grand in a heartbeat to rewind to the point before I opened that subreddit. I'm trying. I'm not going to stop. Thank you for your kind wishes

I actually own this book and brought it with me, but stopped reading it because I felt that depression wasn't a condition but a continuing byproduct of all this. I've found someone who's helping me reprogram piece by piece, but I hadn't realized how deep this still was

so relax. All you really need is to admit that you fell for some stupid ideas and believed some stupid stuff. Good to go. My year-long crusade of trying to rid myself of the deep-dug falsehoods and of the cognitive dissonance I feel as a result of my shattered views on myself and society can just end when I admit to myself that I was wrong and made a mistake. Like would anyone even be here if they weren't honest with themselves in that pill was something that manipulated and deceived them? I'm s…

I believe you've misinterpreted my response, sir (ma'am?). My coworker, who maintains a minor harem, was the first to tell me of Jordan peterson. That coworker never made the implication that Jordan himself participated in that lifestyle. Since he goes into psychological differences in sex, men's rights, etc and it came from someone who lived a pretty mgtow lifestyle Ive just been somewhat hesitant.

I'm really hesitant to get into Jordan Peterson. I first heard of him through the pill's subreddit. I heard of him later through a divorced coworker who has a minor harem of women in other countries he travels to. And then as a refute to the feminist movement, which I don't really agree with either but which is also a rather constant topic within that community. I'm concerned that, if anything, this might be more reinforcing negative conclusions with positive things, like the community does with…

From one of two customer reviews on amazon: 'Pook was an active user in sosuave.net around 2000 to 2006 . his posts are eye opening for Netizens who don't have a clue what is woman. Pook's posts focus on not women but on men. he said every women's guilt is men's fault. instead of trying to figure out what is women it's our job to find a way of how to be a man. "Be a Man!" is the mantra of pook' That piece alone kinda scares me. It sounds a lot like the justifying cheating/AFBB deal pill has goin…

your girlfriend cannot be your therapist. You need an outside party that you can vent to Our marriage is so much stronger since he's cinfidel in me and talks to me about it This confuses me. I'm not trying to be an asshole. I really want to understand. This seems contradictory, and I dont know why you wouldn't use a partner to vent. Like obviously there's scenerio where you're needing an expert or something and things are more complicated, but should I not be getting support from my life partner…

First off, thank you so much for giving such thoughtful and intentional feedback despite how old this is. I absolutely value your opinion as a woman. My social group is extraordinarily male-dominated by nature of my profession, and you make up the other half of the equation I have been trying to solve. I think this point both applies and doesn't, in equal sense. On the larger scope of depression, which I do acknowledge as being exasperated by my dealings with the RP community, I understand that …

First off, I really appreciate your commenting on this despite how old it is. Super cool of you. I don't feel like my psychologist friend was influenced by my mentioning of the pill. The issues I had with it I brought up more subtly in previous talks before I straight name-dropped it, and when I did she claimed she didn't know of it. Yeah she could have been faking and deciding to be noncommittal at that point, but I feel like when I brought it up I did so in a pretty fair manner. "This is somet…

First off, I appreciate you responding to me. I don't think I've mentioned the thing you've quoted, though it has been a phrase so heavily repeated that it's become a postulate. I am confused though whether or not you're actually validating the trp way of thinking though. I've actually considered therapy and whatnot, but I don't think there's many individuals in that field that are even aware of this sort of thing, or how to reconcile something like that. Especially with a biblical backdrop. And…
