You're introducing way too many variables based on what we were told. I'm over discussing it, and I think we're approaching it from totally opposite directions, but I respect your point of view. Look dude, there's obviously more nuance than two dudes on an internet forum are going to deduce from this, so I'll concede that he didn't exhaust all of his options before pulling the safety nets out from under this guy. But having been in situations similar to his, I'm happy if the company deems to hir…

We're really stretching the metaphor here. They're both parachute packers. He's been fixing the other parachute packer's mispacked mistakes for a while, and got no satisfaction informing the company that the new packer can't pack parachutes. So he took a holiday, and the third parachute packer took a day off on the day of the big jump. Someone who was moving up the ranks of parachute packing, and was talking smack about the other parachute packers, had an opportunity to prove that he could do th…

He let someone hired to do a job, do their job, and came back before it caused too much damage. You're not responsible for masking other people's inadequacies, and you're probably better off bringing their shit to light sooner rather than later. I've done it before in my own job. Help those who ask for help, but those that are gunning for your position and talking shit about you, don't feel any need to let them know their parachute is packed wrong.

Counter with this: Hand job = The hot water stays on for another week. Blow job = You sleep under the roof I pay for, for another week. Sex = You get to eat my food.

Here's how I've put it before: Point out to me, from an airplane cabin window over a city, what feminists have built. What, in your whole field of view, can you point out had a majority female influence in it's being where it is right now? Is the patriarchy stopping you from picking up a shovel and contributing? Is the patriarchy stopping you from taking up an apprenticeship? You'd be hard pressed to find an industry that doesn't have some sort of incentive for female applicants these days, yet,…

Yeah, it makes you suspicious from then on, which sucks because you miss some genuine olive branches that people do extend toward you. I hope you've gotten the weight under control, it really is a big factor in self-esteem.

You're overcomplicating a simple situation. Nothing you say can best saying nothing. You've said all that and more just with a glance. Go look at the /roastme subreddit. The sickest burns are the ones that go past that superficial layer of telling people what they think you think is wrong with them, and telling them straight up that their insecurities are warranted.

Honestly, if I was that kid, I would 100% be thinking: "This is somehow a prank at my expense. No girl is getting her tits out for me because she's attracted to me, especially in public, ESPECIALLY without even saying a word to me, so this will end up nowhere good for me." They put him in an awkward position and he made the correct choice. His heart was going 100mph but the correct choice was to go back to what he was doing.

This is often the case, but the amount of effort you put into something can undeniably shift you orders of magnitude in any direction. I know dumbasses in STEM and geniuses at Starbucks, your genetic lottery is half the battle, the other half is how you spend/waste your time.

By that logic, anyone who advocates change has a 'sneaky motive' of making life better for themselves. MGTOW youtube content creators want subscriptions so they can live a life without having to sling bags of concrete or drive a truck or whatever, and get paid for sharing their opinion. I don't care what her motivations are, she is bringing people closer to our line of thinking and making us less outcast because of it. I think there are a lot of communications jobs that women are better at, I think empathetic sort of stuff like counselling is going to show greater results for women, also childcare and a lot of health/nursing jobs. But the reality is, this sort of thinking will never be put under large scale scrutiny because it will invariably reveal what you have said, we already know men are better at so much, but don't want to admit it publicly because uplifting men in any way is bad PR. This is evolution, i…

I know of three in my life. All divorced, screwed over, got their lives together in their 40s and 50s and bought property in the middle of nowhere. One guy lives out of modified shipping containers and works a backhoe, another guy moved as close as he could afford to the ski fields and lives a simple life. Blue pill is "Why am I losing the race?" Red pill is "Here are the rules of the race, and how to win." MGTOW is "The race doesn't bring me happiness."" You have to remember, when you look at t…

I can't stand Family Guy. God it had so many great gags early on, but it's just cut-to-physical-comedy-flashback for half of the show now. F is for family for my realism, Rick and Morty for surrealism. They both have heavy traditional patriarchal themes anyway.

If MGTOW was established as a system, we wouldn't do anything with women. It's like asking what a football club would do if they got their own club house away from the soccer club instead of an integrated one.... Cheer I guess? Just being separate is enough.

Yeah I get ya. It sucks that in a world where we are so 'hands off' that the arts aren't thriving. People expect work in exchange for 'exposure,' talented people are living like bums and corporations are capitalising on the dreams of others. I'm pursuing STEM, but I'm still prove dozens of hours per week into a, hopefully profitable music venture, but the systems in place for it to happen organically are dead. I'm Australian, but I'll answer from what I've seen from Americans on Reddit: Nobody gets paid anymore. Back in the day you could leave school, get a job in a factory, and save for a house, now, you're getting pummeled in one direction by the student loan business, pummeled in the other direction by the boomers working until they're 90, and then you've got your whole messed up health and criminal system that's just hanging over any young man who leaves the house. Precisely. Thigh-deep in dirty water in winter, searching for a submerged rod, pulling cable through a conduit. $35 per hour, and now I'm typing this from my owned two-bedroom on-campus apartment, between exams in a self-funded degree. Yeah, I'll get all riled up about social politics every now and then, but never enough to be an activist or walk the streets in protest. Any person with half a brain can see that anyone in a position of power got there by making promises to other people in power. Then they get to a point where they can only move forward by promising the masses things they can't provide because they only got where they are through their creditors who are coming to collect. I would make a fantastic dictator.

Only 0.53% Of women have heavy vehicle licenses. Only 1.37% Of women work in high risk construction. Only 4.48% Of women are employed in a full time field without air conditioning/heating for their work tasks. The people holding women back from getting a STEM degree are the same holding them back from picking up a shovel. Women. It's amazing the length drink spikers will go to. Back in the day they used to use rohypnol or some other type of heavy sedative and memory drug. Now, I can't believe it. EVERY girl that gets caught by police with drugs in her system has had their drink spiked! I don't know the motive of this new wave of ghost drink spikers. But they're slipping girls a few ecstasy pills, some cocaine, even getting marijuana into their systems without their knowledge! These men must be stopped.

Wouldn't the obvious choice be too look at those from both sexes that have full reign over the dating pool and make approximations from there? Find a super attractive 40 year old from both sexes and find a super attractive 20 year old from both sexes and compare it with super rich/secure of both sexes. Results won't surprise when your Rich dudes are chasing young and your career women are chasing old.

TRP, like any group, exists on a spectrum. You are correct for some, incorrect for most. MGTOW is an offshoot of TRP, not the other way around. We choose not to race, they choose to race, but we both acknowledge the existence of the race and understand it's rules. You'd do well to consider that.

Strangely, I don't think this will result in the collapse of society. The hippies didn't breed more hippies, they bred punks and rockers who thought hippies were soft and gullible. This whole social justice phenomenon has a maximum lifespan of how long it's 'cool' to associate with it, and right now, it's already not cool. It will die. Reality is too overwhelmingly obvious for it not to. Look at the likes on a youtube page regarding equality and social justice stuff. It is much more in line with…

In a sense, I think it is collapsing as a whole. We are like a spoiled, third generation immigrant that has gotten fat off our father's hard work, and we've never lived a hard life, so we create all this conflict and drama within ourselves. Instead of going on a drug-fuelled binge or crashing the ferrari, we are engaging in arguments over petty things, that aren't really that hard to fix. We are living the best life of any time in history, yet we are discontent.

Yes. Fight Club is super cliche as a MGTOW movie, but for a good reason. The whole movie is about breaking away from the constraints of society and doing your own thing. Raw masculinity being unleashed in a bunch of guys who are nobodies to the real world. I agree with you, I just think the disgust people feel for someone expressing their feelings about chubby women could be a little more in check with how they make their own choices about short guys, as the video shows. But it's what grinds in the male brain, so it's a valid discussion.

I'm pretty sure the sub is directed at debate of red and blue. This is a problem that affects a lot of men and their opinions on the sexual/dating market, so it's pretty central to a lot of people's opinion, and there's still no conclusive answer to why it's acceptable.

Men don't have the opportunity to kill newborns while their brain is high on hormones because men don't, biologically find themselves in a post-partum position (the point you were making, I think). So, we identify here that diminished capacity due to hormone imbalance plays a part in sentencing, I'm not arguing this point. If a man loses everything he's worked for including his kids, and faces jail time because he's unable to make alimony, is he of 100% sound mind when he puts buckshot through h…

I agree it should be focused on rehabilitation, but it's not, it's focused on punishing men. Back to the original question, I think women and men are equally moral, but just like internet anonymity, once you fail to enforce standards people will push the boundaries. If the honor system is only enforced for one side, only one side will keep to the honor system. When one side can throw a newborn off a balcony and lose their right to Facebook, why bother being moral?

Are the guys in dead bedrooms better off or worse off than the single guys who have the internet/tinder at their disposal? Are the single guys lonelier than the broke single divorced guys who prioritized relationships, paired off young, and then either them or their partner weren't the same people they were when they got married at 19? Plenty of people who marry die lonely. It's not a good case for risking so much.

But it's not just child murder and abuse, think of almost any crime, and there's a 'diminished capacity' argument for being a woman that puts the ass-covering moral onus on men while giving them the benefit of the doubt. So yours might be in that 15% that will stick it out until they die. But remember, 0‰ of guys thought theirs wouldn't work, so you're measuring up against all of those who got bamboozled, not the ones that pulled out at the last second! No. That's a terrible feminist deflection and it can be countered in argument pretty easily. Yes, you may oppose the draft, but the issue is equality and is measured in ratios not total numbers. I'm so late to this, but whatever. TRP is not so much an all-encompassing theory based on science as it is a reaction based on experience. We're hypothetical soldiers being thrown on the front lines of a conscripted army and all we want to do is go back to our safe place. The experienced men teach us how to kill, and we watch the men who don't know how to kill die in the trenches beside us, we have the world looking at us saying that 'killing is wrong, don't play the killing game' but the world …

I don't know why you are associating this with alphas, betas, and omegas, the less-skilled but hard working teammates aren't beta at all, they are just another part of the team. Remember, the best in your second division team would be the worst in a first division team, so it's all relative. Other than trying to turn it all into an analogy for the red pill, you've nailed down a big part of masculinity, which is camaraderie through competition. Not to mention men have legitimate reasons to feel worthless: When a court tells you to sign over everything that you consider a life achievement to someone that you hate, and continue to pay them for years to come, you kinda don't really see the point in investing in yourself further when your worst enemy owns shares in your labor.

The good thing about TRP is even in the name it's pretty much telling you to question your perceptions of reality. I doubt anyone would be able to legitimately lay claim to starting a movement like this, I'm sure if you got two recently divorce-raped men together during a game of golf you'd start to hear basic TRP theory from them without them coming into contact with the manosphere at all. 3 mass shootings in the last 20 years, you're right. How about the 20 before the reform hmm? Like 15. Total massacre murders in the 20 years leading up to and including Port Arthur, I count 114. After, I count 71. I'll admit arson is a new danger that people who decide they want to mass murder can use. But arson is a lot more difficult to control, and is only effective if you want your killings to be indiscriminate. We are safer without guns. I want concrete evidence otherwise.

You don't get it do you? You're in an arms race against your own government. The only way the police are going to treat you like human beings is if you de-escalate the tension. It's painfully obvious to everyone outside of the US what needs to happen for your police not to fear the average citizen, but since you're all "Muh rights!" it won't happen. Police will still pull fuckheads over who pull out guns, so they will assume every person has a gun, so they will shoot upon the first sign of suspi…

You're right! Since every weapon is equally effective, why don't we arm ther military with swords instead! /s Guns are the most effective killing instrument, especially for mass/multiple killings. You cannot switch them out with any other weapon and have the same results.

It's partly the police culture, but it's mostly the disarmament. What reason does a police officer have to fear for their lives from a man lying on the ground with taser probes hanging out of him, if there's almost zero chance he has a firearm on him? None. So they don't fear for their lives, so they don't draw their weapon, so nobody gets shot for moving their hand to their side, or for opening their glove box.

Oh, and when does this bullshit of comparing a nation of 300 million against an island country of 23 million count as "valid"? I already accounted for population. We have 13% of your population, so we should have 131 dead from police bullets. How many do we have? Four. And no, I've never seen someone stabbed to death. I've also never heard of someone someone stab up a dozen people in a school, or stab up a movie theater, and I've never seen a policeman chase someone down and stab them to death. …

Man, I want to support your overall sentiment, and I can really appreciate you bringing gender out of it (because male officers do this all the time) but you guys really need to have a serious talk in your country about guns and average Joe's need to have them. Your citizens should not be able to outgun police, your police should not feel this threatened by a man laying on the ground with taser probes in his back. If this was Canada/Australia/Western Europe the outcome would be different.

I don't assume they aren't the suspect's fault. The 1011 does not take that into account, the 4 killed in Australia doesn't take it into account either, again (after adjusting for population) we're still just comparing police killing civilians. But we are still comparing over a thousand people killed to four people killed. Cherry picking one moment and broad brushes the next; this isn't how you win people's trust. This is the kind of underhanded behavior which TRP shines a light onto. I'm sorry,…

Hmmm I think a lot of these "He said, she said" stories boil down to the details. But 'a lot more vocal' and 'coerced' are the real ambiguous terms here and they stand at complete odds with one another. The XX band is focusing on her being coerced into doing things she didn't want to do, we are focused on the 'vocal' and actually doing the things, repeatedly.... on film..... Trying to remove as much bias as I can: "Oh fuck Mark, slam me in the arse with your massive hammer!" Probably doesn't do …

Yeah totally.... juries should be killed for finding a verdict based on the evidence given to them, and the lawyer for doing their (albeit unethical, but still) job. If I was convicted of such a crime my mum would believe every word I said and work toward my appeal, not off herself and leave me rotting. There is a lot more to this than 'kill everyone involved' dude.

Eh... this tows a moral line with me. I'm 29, I don't expect any girl I'm with to have NO history, and I don't think someone should be punished for their abusive past, as I've overcome my own childhood abuse and come out more empathetic for it. If you've been raped, you're fine by me, but you still don't get a pass on other red flags because of it.

You can't learn to be an electrician by managing jobs from an office. Managing is about reading plans, getting stock, procuring materials, assigning people. Working for a manager who can't do your job is like flying a plane without air traffic control. Sure you can land the plane, but you have no support if anything doesn't go exactly to plan, nobody who can forsee a decision made in step 1 affecting step 36. And we that's how managers end up back on the street, or back on the tools.

Making 130k a year in regional powerline infrastructure here - always thought I'd be a CAD designer/draftsman. Never touched a wrench until I was actually in the trade. It's fucking awesome. I tell everyone to follow the money/opportunity, and never what they 'think they'll like'. You don't know what you like until you're in it, and in my experience: shit work with good people > good work with shit people.

I broke it off with my LTR to have a month vacation. She found someone while I was gone, I picked up 3 flags while I was gone. Now we're platonic friends, she's dating and I'm single, and I want to date her. This is the worst case scenario and it's not fucking bad at all. I'll be over it by next week. Travel, let her travel if she wants. Don't do LDR, don't expect the traveler to stay celibate while gone. What the fuck is wrong with people?

Fuck every part of that. You didn't become a millionaite by marrying into it, you worked for it, you gave 100% say in where it goes and there's no way you should even give a girl a chance at an ulterior motive to divorce rape your son.
/r/TheRedPill24/04/15 01:31 AM

You can indirectly trigger them to wake up sometimes. I find myself channeling a bit of Tyler Durden when someone is being overtly BP. "How's that working for you? " is a powerful line. "She's nice, we're just friends." "So you never want sex with her? " "I'm not going to push it." "So you're getting sex somewhere else then, right? " "No I'm just seeing how this pans out. " "How's that working for you? Any day now huh?" "...."

If you're looking to pick up while away, get 'Bang' by Roosh V, and also 'The Best of Roosh V' (There's a lot that deals with solo travel in his blog). It deals with venue selection, hotel logistics, solo approaches. I hate sounding like a salesman, but it saved me. I made a large fuckup while booking the trip and didn't realise how stupid I was until I read it in the book. I fixed the situation and the results came through.

The other guy replying to this is somewhat right, but I still think there's a lot of wiggle room for personal preference. Marriage, for example, seems like a death wish for someone after TRP, but many men make it work by applying the rules to their specific situation. If you're inflexible, then you'll never be liberated by these ideas.

'Good for you' ... Wow. I like that. Very condescending. "Hey babe, last night was great you made it into the top ten!" "Top ten of all girls you've had? " ".... Yeah sure.."

This shit is like the pirate code; more like guidelines. You need to learn when to apply and when to ignore rules, life ain't so fucking black and white so use a little common sense. Find out what you want and use the guides to provide the most direct route to your happiness, don't let it become restrictive and draconian.

Normally I wouldn't advocate losing frame, but family is weird. Your personal history goes back to birth and you often can't just walk away, so yeah, gotta play that one by ear, and if it takes you blowing up to stop being walked all over, then that might have been the right way to go about it.
/r/TheRedPill30/03/15 01:53 PM

I'm on a solo vacation right now. You can break the weird stigma about being out by yourself pretty easy, here's a few lines I've used: "Why do people come to social places and only engage the people they bring with them?" "I travel alone to keep my own schedule, and experience things without a social bias." "With self-confidence and motivation, you don't need to drag your friends everywhere."

My last semi-flake (half-hour late, poor text communication) was last night at a dinner date. My date arrived while I was ordering dessert, she ended up having to eat a take-away sub on the walk home while I told her how nice the carbonara was. If you value your time, she will be forced to.

Does it really matter if single women are artificially inseminated to have children? I think a single mother who busts her arse to fill out the paperwork, take tests, find donors/sperm and have a kid is going to be a better parent than the junky chick under the bridge who finds dick easier than a clean vein. The titanic is sinking, everyone is looking for lifeboats and you're asking us about our opinion on the vegetarian menu option.

Man, you need help that this forum can't provide. Seriously. Talk to someone IRL. If you can balance out the chemicals a bit I'm sure you can focus and improve your life considerably. Maybe you need some counseling or something, man. If it's getting to you that much, you should talk to a professional. Don't try to 'be alpha' in the sense of a pack of dogs. You're putting too much emphasis on how other people make you feel. You need to be lone wolf, find out what you're into, work on it, and build a social circle around that. I don't ever assume it's a shit test. A girl puts defenses after initial contact, smile, shrug, move on. The time spent thinking of witty lines to disarm her sarcasm could be better spent finding another girl to talk to.

I disagree completely. You can use self-deprecating humor all the time and still dominate a social interaction. I think a lot of 'agree and amplify' works of self-deprecation as well. It's situation dependent of course.

Good for you, man. TRP, to me is about recognizing value. The true value that comes with self improvement, the false value that certain movements bestow on unworthy people. Not everything is equal and that's OK, TRP just helps explain some rules of the game that have been kept from us. A lot of people here will bitch all day into the echo chamber about 'AWALT this', and 'feminist that'. Use your own sense and judgment to extract what is of use to you and apply it to your life.

I've just read a few of Roosh's travel books and he goes into this a bit. If Roosh was traditionally attractive, his books would have no appeal. He, and guys like him, can pull scores of quality women through other means, like you said: They need to work on their weaknesses. They need to hit their genetic potential if they want to pull above their weight.

Painting with broad strokes isn't always the best policy on these issues. My dad was a deadbeat junkie but my mum divorced him and pulled us out of poverty. My sisters are well adjusted due to other positive male influences (mine) and being moved out of the ghetto and into a place where broken families were the exception not the rule. Not everything is a red flag worthy of outright dismissing a girl for an LTR (if you're into that).

This is a good way of explaining Expected Value and simple game theory to people. It's good that people are afraid of risk, it makes them easy to manipulate, and leaves lots of opportunities open for people who aren't. I quit my job to play poker. Burned out and ended up broke, but I took the risk (and learned a lot about game theory in the process). I got a good job, and then quit that job to take a risky position at another company. My thoughts are that your power is in your ability to walk away. If you're not happy with her offer, you lose nothing by turning around and walking away. That's where people lose frame. I wish. I wasn't a fast enough thinker to come up with something that clever. But I knew to get answers I needed to deal with the horse's head, not the horse's arse.

Yup. This is where tv fucks us up. They write out all the superficiality. They write in sexual tension where they want sexual tension, yet all other interactions are between androgynous, blank-faced nobodies regardless of the actors playing them. Watch a soap and notice how many attractive men and women are platonic friends. One little exercise I taught myself to do is imagine if the people were of a different demographic. Skinny girl at the gym starts struggling with a weight, pretend she is a …

Yup. Edging into 29 myself, I out-earn everyone I graduated with in high school (To be fair it was 30% risk taking and 70% luck that landed me the position.). I'm slowly pushing past the popular girls in high school's SMV. There's still a couple of single stunners that pop up on my Facebook feed but most let themselves go and had kids. I've tried to distance myself from comparing to them, but it's hard when you have people from your old life popping in every now and then. The '29 year old waites…

I'm not really into 'game'. I follow a lot of red pill advice and leave a lot of it behind. My sole tenet is: Don't start anything I can't walk away from if it no longer benefits me. Like you said 'work on me.' Keep everything else at arm's reach until I'm happy with me. You have unbelievable power when you reserve the right to walk away from anything.

Glad you could join us. Take this forum with a grain of salt. Some of these dudes spend their whole day trawling feminist blogs looking for points to whinge about, don't be that guy. Take the lessons that are going to put you on the most direct route to being whole, and leave the rest behind.

Don't think about her. If she wins the lottery or gets riddled with STDs, you need to distance yourself from that and not let it affect you. If your only goal is to live better than her, you'll not get satisfaction, live only for you.

Exactly. You can join an established group seamlessly, but you need very keen social awareness, high SMV, quick wit, and an ally or two to do so.

It IS bitter. To know that you're years away from anything remotely like what you want to be. You feel cheated, like nobody explained the rules to you. You knew that attractive guys got attractive girls, but you didn't know there was so many other elements to social dynamics and women's thinking.

It took me about 18 months to get fucked by a 'hot girl'. 4 years to get fucked by a girl hotter than that one in the bar. This sub wasn't around then. But the point was that if I hadn't had the attitude adjustment, it wouldn't have ever happened. And more importantly, having sex with a hot girl would have been the crowning achievement of my life, whereas now it's just one of the perks. Diet, exercise, building self-confidence and making friends takes time.

It was 6 years ago, yes I know I made mistakes, that's why it is called a 'turning point', that was pretty well explained in the intro, and the conclusion.....and the title. That night was the heaviest I've ever been, 88.4kg. I got a membership to the gym the following Monday, but threw out all my junk food the next morning. Correct - I did not start a physical altercation in a South Sydney pub with a dude that was bigger than me because a chick put me in a position where she wanted to see drama…

I'm Australian, so it's probably a different route for you yanks. But find a website for a mine, or oil company, and find out what they're after and what they're paying. I'm an electrical linesman, I do power lines. A lot of our work is centered around coal mines. They hire fitters/mechanics, plumbers, all sorts. And pay top dollar because they have to live on site. Who is building all those coal seam gas rigs? Those guys would be on sweet cash. Google says: http://www.santos.com/coal-seam-gas/e…

If anyone wants advice from someone who went from $20,000k in debt to $100k in the bank in less than 2 years: Energy industry contracting. If you've got the brains, be an engineer and specialise in the energy industry, either established or emerging. If you don't have the brains (like myself), be an electician/fitter etc that specialises in the energy industry or equipment used in the energy industry. Stay away from LTR, stay away from mortgages, stay away from pets and other long term commitmen…

I'm 28, and I'm dating an attractive 19 year old at the moment. She thinks she's a 6, I know she's an 8, and I'm about a 7. It's a self-imposed dread game. She just applied for a promo girl job on the recommendation of the company's manager, yet she's still worried I could take any of her friends if I tried. Abundance.

This is a big problem with TRP as a subreddit. There's so much stuff here that WORKS, but you have to dig through a lot of crap to find people discussing it because they are trying to push their own philosophy/agenda that they've subscribed to. It's why the sidebar is infinitely more valuable than the comments.

The advanced concepts of poker work well, as well, as a metaphor for life and women. The best poker player in the world can lose to rookies in a basement game, because home games lack volume of hands. Put yourself in social situations to succeed in social situations. Swings of 100BB have more of an impact over a 100 hand sample compared to a professional sample (~5000 hands per day 12 tabling). The more informed you are about the table, the easier it is to pick apart the weak links and bankrupt …

I've found that people look to the tall person if the group for direction, first. You've just gotta put a little more effort to overcome height as an obstacle. If you are a short leader, you've gotta compete with 'He's an angry little man' or 'that dudes got a napoleon complex' whenever you assert yourself. You're also a target. People will assert their social position by trying to push yours down, you have to be a lot more careful with escalation, and working out is that much more important, si…

Wait a couple of weeks, then mention a new story (or make one up) you heard about a woman in the middle east having her vagina mutilated for adultery. Ask her for her thoughts on the topic. Then use that information to decide whether it was a silly off-the-cuff remark, or you have serious issues worth nexting her for.

Exactly. If it's a hobby that's going to either make money or break even on time invested, go nuts. The kids on 25k a year dumping 50% of their paycheck into a bank loan for their hobby are insane. I've got about $100k net worth - 2011 Hyundai i30, white, since it's easier to get panels for. You don't need a sick ride to get pussy, it's not the 70's, dial it back and put that cash towards getting out from under your boss' s desk.

Compared to other hobbies, financially, motorsports bleed you dry. People finance to keep up with the latest fad and bury themselves in debts and depreciating assets just to have some flash wheels or do some offroading. Get a 4 cylinder, <4 year old, economical car, keep it until it's 10 years old, sell it and repeat. This advice is for a urban/suburban non-mechanically inclined person mind you.

Stay away from hobbies involving cars, boats, jetskis and motorbikes. Condoms, and lots of them. Back yourself. If there's a $10,000 training package that increases your lifetime employability by 5%, probably worth looking into it.

I like your personal approach to it. Let her know it's rude and don't totally accept an apology. If she doesn't feel bad, you can escalate it until she acknowledges she fucked up, and when she does she'll be eating out of your hand trying to get into your good graces.

As the uglier one of the pair that goes out, I know the feeling. I'm a 7.5 and my friend is a 10, you have to remember that a lot of the time, the girls have their own plan in mind when they join you, and a lot of the time it's to fuck your friend. Our philosophy when going out is: "We have fun, regardless of whether we pick up or not." Don't put pressure on picking up. If you are truly attractive, it's just going to 'happen' for you and not for him. We've been sitting down having beers in Indon…

I did the same with my alcoholic father - writing shit down in a notepad just helps you clarify why you have anger towards someone, when, at this point in time, it doesn't seem like you should. Emotional abuse is cumulative, you don't get a clean slate just because you apologized.

Man you are twisting it. The focus has most definitely been on Tory and Katrina, the people who have been working with the middle eastern community are doing so out of solidarity to prevent another Cronulla. Don't hate on people trying to keep the peace after a tragedy, especially when past examples have proven that things can get ugly really quickly.

Being a good high school student doesn't generally mean you're going to be a CEO. By 25 SO many more of these women have dropped out of the race it's ridiculous. We chase younger women. You can't expect someone younger than you to be earning more than you, it's unreasonable, you've had longer time at work than women, so even if everything else is equal, the difference in age between you and her most often puts you in a provider/supplementary dynamic. This is one of the catalysts for TRP being in…

A lot of Russell Brand's wit comes from knowing a lot about the subject and then directing the conversation towards what he wants to talk about, comedians are experts at this. I'll admit he does smash a good one-liner off the cuff out there in record time, but a lot of it is VERY well thought out debate/discussion that he leads the other person into and pummels them because he's run the gauntlet in his own brain dozens of times already.

The locking your door analogy is correct. If I leave my life savings on my front porch, it's not RIGHT that someone should take it. It's illegal and people should know better. But someone's going to take it.

I don't think so. Reality is harsh. Reality is /r/morbidreality. Happiness requires at least some level of ignorance to all the injustice in the world.
