Cool, I'll do that for sure. What about dancing with girls? Swinging them around, etc?

So HIV is irrelevant I'm just gonna leave this here for you to think about.

Of course it wouldn't

Treatment for HIV is much more expensive than circumcision. If this was really all about money, then industry would be against circumcision.

There are more variables than circumcision in this comparison. Why not compare to West Africa where there is no circumcision?

Yes, mainstream Western (esp US, but also Canadian, etc) MDs support circumcision because of the health benefits borne out in a well established body of evidence published in peer reviewed journals and as recognized by the AAP, AAFP, and ACOG. It is controversial in some other countries, but not from a safety perspective. Like every other MD I personally know, I recommend all newborns get circumcised if their parents consent, but am happy to accommodate the rare few who would rather wait. I take…

We disagree. There really isn't much more to say. Despite that, I support the MR community in general and think you guys are doing a great job. Keep it up!

Correct, I don't follow the "sexology society of the balkans," etc. No mainstream physician societies anywhere believe the procedure is harmful (because it isn't). Some will say the dollar cost isn't worth the benefits or that the benefits are modest, however. As with vaccination hysteria, you will be able to find fringe groups and some MDs that validate these misconceptions. It's great that you're passionate about this issue. I wish you the best but have to take my leave. Cheers!

Thanks. I've never heard of those associations. I am comfortable following the guidance of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Family Medicine, and the American College of obstetricians and gynecologists. This is not controversial in the United States, but we are happy to accommodate families who believe otherwise.

Sounds like we disagree. If I was your pediatrician, I'd be happy to respect your wishes. I do the same with my patients who refuse vaccines. Thanks for the reply.

No medical society is the world calls circumcision harmful (because it isn't). Within medicine, the controversy is whether the health benefits to the patient are worth the cost of the procedure (about $200 billed to the insurance company). Circumcision of newborns is almost painless and often times the infant sleeps through the procedure.

No medical society anywhere says that circumcision is harmful. The question is whether the disease prevention is worth the cost of the procedure (assuming circumcision is desired by the family).

In regards to culture, do you have any other examples in which there is a destruction/excision of healthy tissue performed solely on the basis of that culture's narratives? I was saying it is okay for cultural reasons to forgo circumcision. Circumcision is done for medical, not cultural reasons. This is irrelevant, as there are plenty of documented cases on both sides of this statement. Hence why we try to study things in a controlled manner... Yes, this has been done. To follow that up, what ot…

Sure, I'm happy to answer these questions on circumcision, although I will have to politely decline questions about me personally as I wish to maintain my anonymity. I am not trying to convince you of anything, as I understand people can have differing opinions on topics like this, but thought that it would be good to share mainstream medical thought on this topic to those interested. When deciding whether to circumcise an infant, there are two major considerations: cultural preferences of the f…

Thanks. I understand your concern but can assure you this is not the case. Reddit is only letting me post every 10 minutes. If you guys have further questions/comments feel free to PM me. I am sympathetic to many MR issues, but opposition to circumcision is simply misguided.

I'm an MD who stopped by here. There is compelling medical support for circumcision. It prevents HIV, other STDs, balanitis, and more. No 4 year old is going to consent to any procedure, even minor ones like circumcision. However, you can be healthy and uncircumscised, so really it is up to the parents (until the patient reaches the age of consent) based on their cultural and medical priorities. In this case, ideally, the child would have been circumcised soon after birth. Since that didn't happ…

I'm unfamiliar with the treatment you mentioned. Like you said, perhaps it is an old treatment no longer used. A dermatologist can bring almost any patient's acne under control if the patient is diligent.
/r/seduction03/09/13 03:02 AM

Go to the dermatologist. They can get you from horrible acne to zero acne in weeks. Failing to see a dermatologist can result in permanent acne scarring. Self treatment only works for the mildest acne. There are only a few things that help acne scarring itself, and all are at the dermatologist office: microdermabrasion and filler injection. Even if you decide against these, get your current acne under control or prepare for more scarring. People who don't go to doctors are gambling with their he…

Because guys need sex which is impossible long distance. So the guy and girl are separated, but the guy is left needing the girl more than the girl needs the guy.

Second date went well. Kissed twice, held hands, etc. She seemed into it. Dropped her off without a plan for the next date. Since then, no contact for 4 days. Wait for her to reach out?

LDRs are dangerous for guys. They are great for girls: they can act single and use their unassuming boyfriend as an insurance policy. Edit: for some context on why this is true. Men need physical intimacy in their relationships. Women need emotional intimacy. This isn't to say that men don't also like emotional intimacy or that women don't like sex, but for any relationship to be healthy, men need physical intimacy and women need emotional intimacy. Men can provide women emotional intimacy over …

I can't believe that there are girls who will go on dates with you but won't kiss you. I would not put up with that BS

Easy: like it never even happened. Been there 1000 times. Sometimes I've even been the one who rejected the advances and you do the same thing. Forgdidaboudit. No one gives a fuck.

Personally, I think a kiss right away seems a little forced and you might startle her. I'd do it mid date if possible or at the end.
/r/seduction23/08/13 07:57 PM

Just FYI: "hopefully it will happen" is not a good approach. You really have to make a move. She is not going to initiate for you. Just say: "Wait, I want a kiss." Then go for it.

That's great (srs), but you need to kiss her ASAP. Don't let the second date go by without a kiss.
