I was merely comparing the kind of advice you were talking about to the kind of advice given on crossing the road. MRA rape prevention advise applied to female victims of criminal drivers would go like "they just need to understand that walking near the road and driving increases their chances of being hit by a criminal driver, therefore we should recommend women don't go near roads". I hardly thing prevention advice applies to someone who's already a victim. But, I suppose I can somewhat see what you mean.
