Lol what? These posts are insane idk how they get someone to marry him. Even the retirement accounts - he has a 401k and “they both have Roths”? So he has two retirement accounts and she has one. And it’s kinda implied but I’m not completely certain he’s saying he’s funding hers. Anyway, I never need more reasons to de center men but here’s more

Your dream man isn’t going to suggest dinner and then ask you to cook it. I’m so sorry you’re in a painful spot right now, it’s the worst when you know there is a lot wrong and you feel neglected but he won’t end it outright and you’re attached so you’re stuck making this decision. He’s being extremely lazy with you and knows it, there’s no improving from here. Being single is better than how you feel right now, only saying that because I know myself. 💕 You’re not being difficult. He’s passively…

Ugh playboy is so normalized I think to men of my generation they don’t even see it as full blown porn anymore. One of my friends has an extra room in her apartment she’s turning into a girly get ready room. She showed it to me and was telling me her plans to decorate - vanity here, plant here, oh and some playboy on the wall here wouldn’t that be so cute? Perfect example of the frustration with my peers, I didn’t even find it weird she’d think nothing over it. We were the teens obsessed with Ho…

I don’t really have an interest in this past maybe bringing it to their attention if I really thought they weren’t aware/letting things slip a little due to life stressors or whatever. Past that I think you get into weird mothering territory and I definitely wouldn’t appreciate anyone telling me what to do with my body lol. I’m fit and would only date men who are fit as well, I just see it as part of the vetting process. I’m not going to date a guy who doesn’t fit the “fit” criteria and then try…

I hate getting that advice. I was in a similar situation last summer and allllll my friends told me the same “he’s probably looking for you to initiate” advice when my intuition was screaming at me. Props to you not wasting your time 👌

Yep, I’d rather them just show their true colors and then assess at this point. A guy in line with my values shouldn’t need a blueprint for how to act, he’d just be that way anyway. Same with my friends.

My roommate is a friend of mine from high school (we’re now 25). unfortunately I’ve realized from living together she’s a Pickme beyond repair who will put her boyfriend of 5+ years above anything, despite the fact that he clearly doesn’t give a shit about her. Got angry at her for bringing up marriage, doesn’t promise her a future. Of course she now says marriage “isn’t her goal in life”. She OFTEN comments on me not having a love life, I don’t “get dick”, 🤮 etc etc. got into a fight with me ov…

Good for you!! HV move for sure and it’s encouraging to hear others get the ick from online dating..I know dating apps are popular, and some women have good luck. It’s def possible there are good guys on there. But I’ve always wanted to know that the man I’m with approached me out of interest, and has the social skills and bravery to do this in real life without the reassurance that I’ve mutually swiped on him. When it’s swiping on the app, the men know you’re looking and most will put you in a …

Beautiful post, it’s so true. I realize those things about my exes now - nothing would have changed no matter what I did, they were low effort in general and would’ve been to any other girl. I knew it deep down because I saw them being low effort regarding almost every other aspect of their lives, but I remember sometimes wondering if it was actually me, wondering if I played it right (don’t seem eager, keep his interest, etc etc) or if he REALLY liked me, he’d start acting high value. When real…
