Reminds me of what my nephew’s paediatrician told my sister, that don’t compare him to girls his age. They are simply smarter lol. I don’t know how true this is.

The funny thing is that they’re massively cringey and unfunny for a sub that thinks we’re cringey. I read a couple of comments and the women were talking about cheap guys, who they ended up paying for in exchange for being mistreated. Like are you women blind? While making fun of FDS they were actually validating FDS rules.

I am wary of woke feminists. Always judge them based on their actions. A friend of mine was absolutely okay with talking to me in a slightly sexual way, sending me sexual art to appreciate or talk about etc The wokeness is for them to benefit. I used to question if I was the prude, but no he was the creep.

Last two boyfriends i met on tinder, met my only HV friend there, who met his wife on tinder. Somehow people on tinder were better than the serious dating apps. None were actual creeps somehow. But it can be different person to person.

I once matched with a guy who had ‘Raging feminist’ in his bio. I checked his Instagram he was following a lot of underage girls 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

I used to think this too. But my ex would look into my eyes and kiss me and it was magical. But he still cheated on me lol Just vet vet vet

This is so strange. But my ex blamed me for an accident I wasn’t even present for. He was on his bike and hit someone. He wouldn’t answer my calls to check if he was ok cause he simply said he was in an accident, I was worried about him. He wasn’t even on the phone with me and I hadn’t even called him when this happened. But it happened because of me. God I’m so angry all these years later.

Reminds me of my ex! I’d tried to dump him so many times but he’d just not let me go. When I finally ended it he let me go quite easily which felt off lol. Fucker got himself into an arranged marriage, he even went to see the girl while we were together. Same guy wasted 6 years of his previous ex even though he was absolutely unhappy and really disliked her. His reasoning was that the action was reallly good. Like wtf. That guy was the epitome of a walking 🚩

So many men in their 30s do this to sleep with younger women. It’s disgusting and will also complain that they’re immature.

Second this! Some one so close and good as chosen family started hitting me up when he found out I was single. Only to flirt with me for validation or god knows what. I used to wonder why did he not ask me out and why did he keep it limited to texting. I found out later that he had a serious girlfriend all along. I thought he was the nicest human being I knew, turned out to be one of the biggest creeps. I agree with your post so hard! Vet the guys you know even harder.

I had something like this happen to me last year that had me questioning if I’m marriage material or not. So I had a guy approach me through my best friend(this guy was as good as an elder brother to her) I gave him a shot against my better judgement cause he came through her and she’d also thought we’d be good together but whatever. He starts calling and texting a lot and I’m not feeling it and ask him what is it that he’s looking for and he says that he’s looking for something casual and when …

First thing stop blaming yourself. When the person you’re dating is busy and/or unwell you don’t leave them if you genuinely like them. He was probably talking to her all this time, this didn’t just happen out of the blue. Be glad that the trash took itself out. I know it hurts and it sometimes feel like you are not enough and that’s why the person left. Please know that you are enough, you are worthy of love and compassion just the way you are. His behaviour doesn’t say anything about you but m…

I think the first point about how he approaches anger is a red flag in itself. Also some men have this really shitty approach that the wife shouldn’t go outside and work and should work in the family owned business, probably a means to control the woman.I wonder where’s he from.

Oh no 🙈 I’d read an article during the entire Aziz Ansari thing about a journalist who’d spoken about Schwimmer and how non creepy he was. He’d then proceeded to make videos about sexual harassment in different professions/situations. I’d assumed he was good lol. Sux.

This makes total sense! I got a message from a Scrote that this movie is written by a woman. Implying that it’s what women want, like ofcourse there are pickmes out there who are just as bad as men.

It’s really sad how very familiar this is. How a guy simply disappears when you say that you’re not going to sleep with them so soon. I’d spent so much time wondering why I wasn’t good enough for a serious relationship.

Gabby was my fav character on Desperate Housewives. But she wasn’t high value, she knew her worth but did a lot of shitty/shady things. I think Bree or Lynette came across more high value than her.

Honestly let him take the lead. My previous ex was ofcourse a NVM but he made his interest pretty clear early on. I didn’t have to do anything he was always making plans. I learnt from him that if the guy is genuinely interested he will make a proper effort to lock you down. Even shy guys won’t be scared to chase.

It happens because you notice it happening. Your subconscious shows what you focus on. This used to happen to me a lot, I used to see my ex’s initials everywhere. Random people who’d send me a friend request who have his initials as his profile picture etc. But this means nothing. After I stopped reacting to it, it went away. Take the power away and stop reacting

Nope. Please don’t blame yourself. A genuinely good guy wouldn’t care about you being closed off or guarded. If he really liked you he’d wait for you to trust him and give you time. Self love. I recommend this book to everyone possible cause it simply works. Love your self like your life depends on it by Kamal Ravikant. I’d broken up with my long term boyfriend of 6 years and it’s almost been a decade since. But I used to still FUME at the emotional abuse I had gone through. I couldn’t let go of my anger and resentment at how he treated me and how I let that happen. I got into self love hard core and one day I was like I don’t feel the resentment, I just don’t. Yes to this! When I was with my long term boyfriend I found myself getting excited about someone else and it was clearly because I’d lost feelings and attraction for him. When you’re happy in a relationship, you will find people attractive and will possibly be attracted to them. But you won’t care cause you’re so happy to be with your partner.

I’ve had this exact same thing happen to me. My friend in question was married and asked me not to dress up so much when hanging with her and her husband cause then he would tell her that why does she not put in effort to look good. I think the meaning of the word cool is evolving and rightfully so. I see it being used for people who are authentic and very comfortable in their own skin. Kind and nice people are very cool in my opinion. And I can see most people agree too. But beware of pickme friends especially the kind who flirt with your boyfriend don’t change. Drop them.

I know what you mean. I met a friend who was just so wonderful and she honestly raised the bar for what it meant to be a good friend. I realised that I was settling for a lot less in terms of friendships too and as hard as it was I cut out all the toxic friends that drained me or disrespected me. It’s been so much better, vet your friends too, lol vet everyone. Just cut out the bitchy friend, the number of years doesn’t matter the quality of friendship does.

Honestly I too used to think that male friends are worth it because of one HV friend. But he started distancing as soon as he got married. I still think he’s a wonderful person, keeps in touch on and off but we’re not as tight as we used to be. A closer look at all my friendships and I realised that they don’t exist lol.

I had this realisation when I had to cut my LVM fuckboy friend out of my life, who couldn’t get over the fact that I dated someone else instead of him. We tried to date and decided that we were better of as friends. Thanks to FDS I could see that he was not only a hoe who always cheated on his exes but a freeloader who wasn’t my friend. Precise reason I was mad at Mindy Kaling. I loved The Mindy project for how relatable it was and recently watched Never have I ever. She doesn’t necessarily sell hook up culture but the narrative about ‘complicated’ love. Why can’t they simply sell you the truth! That if they wanted to, they would :/

Like fuck off trying to be my handyman when I didn’t even ask for help. Over-friendliness in men is a massive red flag. HVM recognise our need to be safe and give us space to let them in when we are comfortable, they will not try to get close with offers of help etc. This guy is creepy.

I have beaten myself up so much for my inability to have and enjoy casual sex. Felt really jealous of friends who hooked up and didn’t get attached, I so badly wanted to be cool like them. I have come to the same realisation as you, I really wish it came a bit sooner than later. Sex is a sacred expression of love, an an unworthy person doesn’t deserve to be inside of you.

Glad that you did. I was watching a series that had the main romance slightly difficult where they love each other but have demanding careers that keep them apart. And a part of me was like omg I want a love story like this where they make it despite all odds and I had to remind myself that we don’t want drama. We want nice cozy feels like home love. So much rewiring. Exhausting lol. Books and movies better change the narrative. It’s like they program us into loving misery.

God. When will we stop romanticising abuse.I grew up believing this was how love was supposed to be; hard, full of pain and heart break. Ugh. No. Took me so long to unlearn and I can still find bits of this bullshit lingering in my psyche. The idea of nice normal romance sounds boring to me , because where’s the back and forth and where’s the emotional turmoil! Still fucking unlearning this nonsense. Lol this got me all triggered. First of all it is insulting to compare the mother who tried everything in her capacity to save her children from her pedophile ex to the mother who actively allowed the raping of her child. The law and the world are not on women’s side and things are unfair in general . But What anybody can do is at least try to protect their kids and not hand them to demons who will simply abuse them till no end.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/06/21 10:35 AM

The mom is being made out to be the monster is because she is the one supposed to protect her child. The man in question is an evil predator no doubt, but the pickme mom did have the power to make it stop but simply enabled and encouraged it. Both of them are vile demons.

I feel you! The FDS principles are wonderful, life and time saving. However it’s a different ball game to extinguish the inner pick me tendencies when you start talking to a guy. The real test begins when you need to apply it practically. I was feeling very desperate when I was supposed to talk to a new guy for arranged marriage, I hadn’t even spoken to him and I just wanted to marry him lol So I took some time and read the FDS handbook and felt in control again. As painful as it is I’m glad he is out of your life and you had this important realisation this early on. I started dating my LVM ex at 17-18 and it lasted for years. It took a really long time to get my self worth back as the only thing I knew was mistreatment. I was a massive pickme till 30 and I really wish I learnt these lessons earlier. Omg I feel this! My first boyfriend tore me down, constantly nitpicking about how I looked, forcing me to lose weight, I would be starving myself and looking at ways to get prettier. While he had greasy hair, oily skin? An average body and horrible bacne. I never stopped to his level and made fun of his flaws. It never occurred to me. I’ve come to this realisation too! My mom is 6 years older than my dad but she looks younger and he looks much much older. Also, in movies I have noticed that a lot of times the men are much older than the women while they portray to be the same age group. (At least in Bollywood) A 32 year old will be playing a college student next to an actual 19 year old girl. Somewhere we are wired to assume that’s what a young guy looks like! Don’t respond. I understand him wanting to meet someone before chatting them up a lot because it saves a lot of time and energy. But also as a woman it takes some time to trust a guy enough to meet him in real life. If he doesn’t understand this then too bad. Drop him.

Omg same! I would never go for a guy like that not sure why I was being a pickme for someone I wouldn’t pick actually. But I’m glad he flaked and turned out to be a complete douche. I found FDS because of him and it has changed me a lot

When I look back, I really wish I would have dropped the toxic ones sooner. Because you will eventually cut them out at some point and they will manage to suck you dry in whatever capacity while they have access to your life. You sound very sorted, cut her loose you don’t need the drama.
/r/askFDS01/05/21 09:10 PM
10

I stopped reading at ‘time consuming’ if he’s not willing to take 5 mins out to sort something that is making you uncomfortable then you need to think things over. Morden dating has made us think that our very valid needs and concerns are over dramatic and that we need to play the cool and chill girl at all times.

You should read the FDS handbook.
/r/askFDS21/04/21 08:32 PM
27

I would ideally just ghost him. I can say from experience that no matter how busy the guy is he will find time for you if he wants to be with you. Alternatively you can state your needs in a short message and see if he can match up. Also gauge how much do YOU like him? Are YOU getting the things you need from this courtship/talking phase.
/r/askFDS21/04/21 08:23 PM

And a high value man will wait till both of you are comfortable and a genuine bond has been established. A relationship is much more than sex.

Yup. I’m very much focused on my fitness and my business. I’m enjoying painting and reading books, cooking etc. Thoroughly enjoying the things I love to do. Spending time talking to family and friends. It is very fulfilling and I feel like a child before puberty hit lol. It’s a wonderful feeling. If a HVM comes along then great. Otherwise life’s good! I’m not seeking out love and romance. It’s quite liberating 💖

Omg this notion of romantic love has ruined most of my good years :(

I was wondering today, what would have happened if I maintained my standards and walked away from every situation/relationship with a guy that disrespected me and barely met my standards. I would have been so much happier and confident as a person. Please walk away from the abusive shit show. You deserve to be with someone who treats you right and doesn’t abuse you and steal from you.

Probably going to get downvoted to hell but this reminds me of a former friend of mine. She is narcissistic and insecure af. And I can see how she used to wring her partner dry, I don’t know now cause I’ve cut her tout . He was a super nice dude, I pray for him everyday 😅

It’s easier to make the woman out to be the villain, I don’t see anyone talking shit about Leonardo Di caprio and his dating choices 🤢 that’s another story altogether

Yes! It’s something so basic that you don’t need to ask anyone to stop. I’m not sure about the critique though

Harry is a LVM. He used to hunt animals for fun.

Yes exactly. The problem was my pickmeisha ways.

This is so important. I look at the amazing HVM I know in my life and I know for a fact that they wouldn’t have these pictures on their phones. They have nothing to hide. I then think of the men I don’t know too well and I can say which ones would have these pictures and which ones wouldn’t. I run the name of the guy that ‘Would ZYZ do this?’ And I ran this question for all the guys I dated and talked to and understood that most were trash and would do this but I could pick out the quality men w…

I had one guy tell me that I ‘Emasculated him’ and why? Because I took the lead in suggesting places to eat and knew my way around good places to eat and what exactly to order. He literally asked me to dumb myself down and act like a bimbo. I wish I could have said this then :(

Same. I was told to lower my standards, they assumed I was ugly or a sad loser. I’m genuinely looking for a decent guy and I avoid the hot fuckboy types of men. They were hell bent on telling me there was something very wrong with me that men only casually wanted to date me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
