It would have saved a lot of money for my family and mitigate the status bullshit in the entire school. It wouldn't. The uniforms are dumb and overpriced. And as far as status goes kids will still find ways to differentiate their groups.

There are really two factions, the real one liberty for the human people and the other Liberty for corporate people And there are the good helpful democrats, and the corrupt big city democrats. There are the helpful well-minded republicans and the big business sell you out Republicans. If your argument against third parties is that you don't agree with some of their politicians then you should do the same argument for the major parties.

Not in cases like that, and not when they deal with court proceedings. While they may be exceptionally suited to help people recover from problems, they should never be allowed to say what a person really is and give their opinion that results in the punishment of a person. (which occurs in every court case)

I was an Econ major and none of the profs in our department cared about format, they just required citations and a cover page and then a few grading based rules (margins couldn't be too big neither could font). I just tacked on to say I agree, footnotes are the best referencing tool, parenthetical citations blow.

At the time they wern't. Also at the time women's sports were more of a disgrace than now. The appeal to authority doesn't make my argument any less correct. If you had a degree in economics you would agree that there should be progressive taxation (unless you're post-keynesian then taxes are pretty arbitrary, or one of the very very few who believe in a flat tax, and even that is tempered by poor subsidies). You still haven't made an argument.

No, it was enacted to give equal funding, not equal sports. Semantics. And I could have just said it gave women equal scholarships for sports. It matters completely. You don't seem to care when the lion's share of taxes are paid by the rich, yet you cry foul when the majority of revenue is driven by one sport? This is a non-sequitor and you're not even making an argument. The wealthy should pay more in taxes, nearly all economists agree on that. In aggregate, those two sports make the most money…

and? I don't see your argument? Title IX was enacted to give women equal sports and it has worked. Obviously it's not the best solution. So what if one team pays for every other team (and that's not true really, most schools have football programs that soak up tons of money). Also Football and basketball (to a lesser extent) generally do get better facilities. Have you ever been on a D1 college campus with different sports?

They have to spend equally, not earn equally. That's the law. Take it up with your congressmen to get it changed, but it won't be. Plus football and basketball generally get the nicer facilities anyway so there is a spending difference it's just in other areas.

Well, they have to spend equal amounts on men and women, which is why there are 15 scholarships for womens basketball to men's 13, the same for basically all women's sports because football gives so many to men. So partially correct there. If it's a scholarship sport they definitely don't have to give both men and women equal opportunity at THAT sport, just at sports in general.

30 women for a study, that's not nearly enough. Also only in one state. Also it was done 8 years ago. That study I would not put faith in. The other ones are probably better.

Shooting Tournaments, the top level of competition is open to everyone but generally only the men make up the elite. For example in USPSA there are no female Grand Masters and only a handful of Female Master level shooters. (Rankings go D,C,B,A,M,GM low to high)

I had a female history professor who specialized in women's history who was teaching a general state history course (big important state so it was an important course) and she spent one day on women's history that related to the periods we were covering.
