If they disrespected you that badly, then it’s enough of a problem to confront them directly about it and hopefully resolve it. If you don’t feel like it’s enough to call them out on, then it’s probably not that big a deal.
I’d say leave the kids out of the equation for sure, they’re not part of the arrangement. Just be careful and make sure she really understands, because women can be vindictive. Especially women who have a lot to gain from scoring a US citizen or even scamming one. Also lock up your valuables since she has access to your room.
