I used to imagine it as a video game...

What song food you karaoke? I hope it wasn't "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" by Rod Stewart.

I used to just park in my primer-painted van outside the middle schools until the right girl said, "Mister? Can you give me a ride?" [the above is a joke]

Well, in the "documentation" that comes with learning about TRP. An HB9 is about 1 in 10,000. An 8 is probably 1 in 2K. [Although, if I'm remembering this incorrectly, please let me know] So for 18 years old, that's quite an event. I think it would be especially memorable.

What was the HB, I mean just out of curiosity (I'm impressed irrespective of any particular value).

With the internet, I have a strong suspicion that examples of the even most unappealing musical genres will now always be remembered...

Or My Little Pony. I wonder if there are any closet My Little Pony Fans in this sub... That makes me laugh.

Fuck.. I never remotely considered music as any type of conditioning. But I guess like anything in our environment it can be. I have long loathed thrash/speed metal, etc. I liked fast EDM music (like this) for energy/workouts. However, most of the time, I listened to sort of a "Zach Braff" niche of music (like indie or singer/songwriter), which is sometimes lagubrious. I have been into countless music genres over time, and think I just preferred melodic darker music (plus I play guitar which is …

Ugh... I know from first-hand knowledge that, if continued long term without exercise, without a doubt sitting = death. It has nothing to do with getting fat...or even looking out of shape. I wish this was ingrained into kids early on. I think fearing sitting for too long is better than fearing the largely manufactured demons attributed to drug use.

I was a patent attorney for several years. At the time, I too thought an attorney was a necessary component to getting a patent. Then, somewhat to my dismay, a colleague in my IP group showed me this book called Patent It Yourself, and while I wasn't thrilled about the notion that those not familiar with the patent office and procedures could obtain a patent without an attorney, I was, to be honest, very impressed with it (this was before the ubiquity of Amazon, so finding such a book wasn't tha…

There are likely some women out there who don't use any drugs, but something sounds inconsistent with what you say. You state that you drink coffee and you drink alcohol socially... But at the same time you are advocating a clean no-drug lifestyle because of the "your body is the temple" philosophy. You say you are not attracted to a girl who likes pot (or the others things you mentioned). Are these women using all night, or just part of a social activity—like at a party? Do you have a problem w…

Find the nearest police officer and tell him you want to make an assault and battery charge against the woman. You can't even pretend to hit back.

Is d-Amphetamine that libido enhancing? Or is that for ADHD?

Take up Backgammon. Seriously... To perform a quasi-quantitative measurement on your feelings toward sex, stop having it... No fapping either. I bet within 4 months you will see things differently.

I wouldn't say I ever got over it in an emotional/visceral way, but rather by becoming self-aware and having worked through it understanding that it was only going to cause me to push away the girl instead of draw her nearer. So when I would date someone new and 2 months later she'd tell me something she did "with this one guy", I'd feel the onset of the familiar jealous feelings, but could manipulate myself into not surrendering to it. It takes practice. One time while anticipating that jealous…

These are great tips... At one time this was a huge problem for me...But I think my securities were even worse shape than you'd may be because even though I felt really jealous or hurt, it also made the girl in question more desirable to me [or perhaps this was just a nascent cuckholding fetish...who knows?]. Either way, it was unpleasant, and though a small part of it turned me on, the rest of it made me sick with jealousy. And it could have been any guy... Even if it was 2 years earlier. It al…

If you are in a relationship and don't want it to end, but suspect she may soon end it...the best play is to immediately break up with her.

Yes... I agree. But I also think it ups the ante on what a competitive level of female sexuality is. I was in my early 20s in the mid/early 1990s before the internet-- flirting with a hookup or a girl in nascent relationship was not as openly sexual. I think if you polled the 20-something women in 1994, they would call their 2014 counterparts whorish sluts. As such, it probably took less to attract the HVM back then. Today however, with internet porn, etc., guys are "been there done that". Women…

Looks, status, money...yes these are important. But the right frame plus even more importantly, intelligence (memory, understanding, perspicacity, critical thinking) all create "that person" to women, more so than men. If you have a 9+ male and a 9+ female, assuming all other non-physical (IQ/wit) attributes remain the same, which gender is more likely to remain with the other if said other gained 60lbs and/or (sadly) lost their physical facial beauty? This is an assertion on my part, but I'm in…

I thought this was amazing. I am in a similar place. Although I had everything (I thought) before and lost it all. I feel I have wasted 20 years of my life not following what I wanted to do, and constantly hating myself in the process. The hardest part for me is talking to someone. I have no kids, and the friends I had, I was forced to move away from due to finances. No social network for 5 years. I feel sometimes as if life is taking to long.
