Men should never feel guilty about cheating, specially if they are not getting their physical needs fulfilled through marriage. Its a result of liberal brainwashing that you are made to feel guilty. My suggestion to you is go ahead and quit your job if it gets uncomfortable, then as someone suggested ask for alimony

Based on what I am reading you will not get any alimony. It could go other way round and you may be asked to giver her alimony if you retired close to divorce

See if you can cash that money out and get her into some job. Barring that you will need to quit your job for a few years prior to filing

It is critically important to have a spouse working at the highest possible pay prior to divorce, even if the duration of employment is less than a year, your financial obligation reduces significantly. Courts can impute, but typically do not impute pay for women, they go with the current job

This is unthinkable in most Eastern countries. Society never lets a woman happily screw around with others kids

Lawyers, tend to be useless, search for tips in this forum other members have given and then talk to your lawyer specifically about all your plans to have a least costly separation

Out of the box suggestion is to take your daughter and migrate to an Arab country like UAE. By default fathers get custody of daughters above 10

You can keep appealing or filing new cases. There are ways to get out of paying CS, but unfortunately not much can be done on custody

You should always remember that it never gets better. If you've reached the point of contemplating divorce, you are better off pulling the plug as soon as possible. You have only one life and a limited time to enjoy it. Your daughter is not going to be any better with you being unhappy. The longer you are in a marriage, the messier and more expensive a divorce is. Our system hugely rewards the impatient I suggest you follow all the steps recommended in these forums. Lower your financial position…

Yes, you have some leeway in the sale. Many houses don't have a market rate per se

Even that won't work, if you use old account to make simple purchase after marriage, it will be treated as community property. Opening a trust before marriage and putting all pre-marital assets is the only way to go

Long battle ahead if she chooses to harass. Wishing you all the best and hope she agrees to your terms. I wish you had read this sub reddit and taken comments seriously. Don't every legally marry, happily cohabit and have children through gestational surrogacy

I think OP has made the same mistake most men make. Have a bank account prior to marriage and use same account after marriage

All the best to you. This is why I suggest men put premarital assets in a trust prior to marriage. You'll have to go in front of a judge and try to educate him about the law, but don't be surprised to see the bank balance split in half

Oh great, now we have software companies trying to squeeze and loot divorced men. Why don't go around posting in gold digger or predatory child support forums for ideas

For LTR why don't you cohabit and simply not legally marry? Just don't go about filing joint tax returns, taking surnames, health insurance etc. Many states will consider this common law marriage. I can tell you first hand the tax benefits of marriage are a joke when you have a two income household.

No need to despair, you can try these 3 steps I recommend, not foolproof but gives great control over your assets after marriage. There will always be some crazy judge or vindictive spouse who will go out of their way to claim fraud, other than that the steps work great 1) Ask one of your relatives to create an irrevocable trust for you. If you have assets > $5M you can also try an offshore trust. Put anything and everything you have in here prior to marriage, stocks, bonds, property etc. You ha…

Besides your separation you are also living in a post COVID world, where social interaction has been greatly reduced in some parts of America. I would suggest you make extra effort to find new hobbies, perhaps move to different place and make new friends.

I agree with the others, at 400lbs, lets admit it she won't be healthy for long. I suggest you quit your job and have some fun for a few years with the money you have made.

My two cents here is that you are better off inactivating your license and switching to a low income job. Sure the judge may decide to impute income, but they are using discretion and going against the state recommendation. This gives you plenty of options to appeal. If you continue in your current job, its almost certain you will lose more in court. Worse your option to appeal is limited

It always amazes me why men in the west choose to join military service when they are treated so bad

Now that you have quite your job, why don't you hang on to your marriage for a couple years without employment. You can always divorce when your financial situation is worse than hers. The timing of when you pull the plug has a huge impact on property division, CS and everything else

If you think your marriage is over there is no point feeling guilty about it. Right now you need to prepare for lengthy court battle and lots of trouble from various government organizations. Check out all options to protect your assets instead of getting depressed here. I would also suggest you stop worrying about kids. This is basically out of your control, don't be silly and volunteer to pay for kids or take care of them, it comes across as weakness
